SHIK SHAK SHOOK

Lately I have stopped watching K-dramas, as they don't interest me anymore and I find them mostly boring. These days all of them feels the same and I prefer not to invest my time on an hour long 16 episode drama, with having the feeling that it was just MEH!! Enjoying a good show that gives you the essence of a Kdrama yet is different, that you can enjoy is very rare.

But then here it was Queen of tears. The highlights of this drama that made me watch it till the very end were:

--- Engaging storyline. Finally a story where you can't predict what happens next.
--- Exceptional cast. The casting director deserves a raise as not even one character did slack off. They all delivered.👏👏
--- Good production value.
--- Didn't go overboard with the overdramatic Kdrama romance. Every individual story was given proper screentime and development rather than filling it up with majorly unnecessary romantic sequences between the Main leads.
--- Lastly, my favourite charater was Eun sung (the villain).. Me being a sucker for complex characters this guy portrayed a lot of emotions at the same time was the most interesting character.

Overall: I am literally Shik Shak Shook that I could finally enjoy a KDrama.

An emotional rollercoaster and a twisty romance(I cried too much x)

Unlike most dramas that bring on a few tears, Queen of Tears had me raining every single episode. I've already started rewatching it with my friend because it's just THAT good.

Soo-hyun and Ji-won's chemistry really had me weak in the knees, and I'd seriously love to see them in more dramas together. The twists (towards the end which really shocked me) in this drama make it different from other romance dramas that usually follow the kind of same plot.

The villains part in this drama was too good because every second they were on screen my blood would boil, especially Sung-hoon's role. He did a great job playing his role. I just knew from the start that Eun-sung (Sung-hoon) had ill intentions getting closer with Hae-in (Ji-won) but holy cow he really is a certified maniac. Towards the end when Eun-sung was shot dead I felt relief and somewhat guilty because he did all this just to get with Hae-in which... he didn't do it the right way but.. maybe death was what he deserved. He absolutely nailed that role especially in the scene where he tried to manipulate Hae-in after her surgery, it made me furious god I can't describe. It's a love-hate thing with Eun-sung's role to be honest, but I mostly hate it haha.

The part when Seul-hee FINALLY got caught for the 20 years she spent fooling the family, I couldn't be happier. (She was extremely annoying and manipulative. How did the family not kick her out earlier? Seriously)

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A TWISTY, SAD ROMANCE DRAMA, Queen of Tears is the one! I wasn't sure about it at first because the beginning seemed lighthearted, but this drama was truly an emotional rollercoaster for me and my tiny heart.

This is my first review by the way!! :3

lots of tears and lots of giggling

It has been a while since I watched a drama that had me this much on the edge of my seat to the point that all the other current release although good all become alright.

The acting is just perfect on every line! I couldn't even find fault with it if I wanted to. From the tear jerking scenes to the most wholesome ones. The chemsitry between all the characters is incredible. This drama has given us some of the most amazing scenes full of emotions I have ever seen in Kdrama. (whole of ep11 and the church scene in ep14 are my roman empire now)

Especially at the beginning I thought the drama has quite an original story as the story starts at an intersting point where the main characters have been in love and have been having a hard time but still are married. I think the story was really powerful and emotionally loaded. As the leads rediscover their feelings for each other, their love becomes so mature and beautifull. The drama advance and the classical Kdrama tropes do appear but are very well done. By the last couple of episode I felt like it was reasonable easy to guess what would happen but it was still very diverting to watch and wholesome. Even though the drama was overal rather sad and dramatic there were also a good amount of funny moments to relieve the tension
I think the end was really satisfying and kept in tone with the whole drama where it was a happy ending but had a little bittersweet moment at the end reflecting real life which I think was very well done.

I would want to watch it again but I don't think I would feel as emotional because I know how it ends. I 100 percent recommend this drama for someone that hasn't watched it but I probably won't feel like rewatching it any time soon.

PERFORMANCES AND CHEMISTRY

Kim soo hyun and Kim Ji Won - both leads deliver powerful performances. Baek hyun woo - bringing warmth & emotion role and Hong Hae in - balancing vulnerability & strength. Their chemistry is one of the drama's strongest points, evoking both heartbreak & warmth as their relationship evolves.

Particularly in portraying the realistic struggles of a marriage.

Kim Ji Won has proven her versatility as an actress through various roles in her career, and Queen of Tears is no exception. Her ability to adapt to different characters & genres. Her portrayal of Hong Hae in not only elevates the drama but also solidifies her status as one of the top actresses in the industry.

Kim Ji Won is a strong contender for the highest awards in television acting.

Congratulations to the entire team and cast of Queen of Tears! Their amazing acting and dedication have resulted in one of the top-tier Korean dramas. The show's portrayal of complex relationships and personal struggles has resonated with audiences, cementing its place as a must-watch drama.

A mixture of emotions

It is one of the remarkable drama that I saw. I'm very vocal that I loved the drama Goblin in fact I re-watch it many times and still same enotions. I can say that it next favorite drama after Goblin. This drama is a perfect example of mixture of emotions, you will cry on heavy scenes later on you will laugh on comedic scenes, i think I need to see a psychologist when watching this it makes as crazy.
The writer really makes sure that we feel their emotions the characters. The Baekhong cuople really did their most excellent to makes us feel their loved in each other. This drama tells the realistic arguments of couples and on how to handle the circumstances that they encounter.
Both Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won really did their best in portraying their roles, they make us laugh and cry in the challenges they encounter in their relationship. Kim Soo Hyun really deserves an acting award as Baek Hyun Woo for he really makes us feel his pain towards his love for Hae In.
The casting is great, they all goes us a happy vibes both the the Queens family and the Yongduri family.
It has the best cinematography both shot in Germany and the location of Yongduri family is beautifully shot nicely.
It has the best soundtrack as well it makes us LSS. They picked the perfect songs, as you listen to then its like that you recognize it from the drama Queen of tears.
I hate Eunsong's character in the drama but I don hate Park Sun Hoon in fact I understat why is Eunsong act that way, he just loved Hae In so much that he doesn't know that they are suffocating them (too much love can kill you). He just wanted to be lovedall his life that her own mother fails to give him the love that he needed.
Very satisfying ending because they get back what truly that belongs to them. It has a perfect and realistic ending.

DOTY (drama of the year)

CONCLUSION: I’M THE QUEEN OF TEARS. A roller coaster of emotions, the story is tragically beautiful, every episode had me screaming of anger (eunseong you delulu bastard), crying SO HARD, giggling and falling in love with hyunwoo (best man😭). I had never been so into a kdrama for a while fr. THE CAST everyone is there for a reason: TALENT, it’s proved why kim soohyun is the highest paid actor in korea. The soundtrack, intro, epilogues.. I could write a tesis about how perfect queen of tears is.

Berlin City Girl

Awwww, The ending still has an impact. I laughed, cried, enjoyed the great shots of Berlin and Frankfurt. It was exciting, touching and I was really well entertained for 16 episodes without a single hitch. Kim Soo-Hyun has been one of my absolute favorite actors since his Alien days. Not only does he have incredibly beautiful eyes, no, he is also a gifted actor. The main story was great, but so were the supporting actors - especially Park Sung-hoon as the villain torn apart by his obsession and the slightly naive and wonderful Kwak Dong-yeon as Hae-In's younger brother. I'm just not sure about Kim Ji-won. The way she played Hae-In almost had traits of personality destruction and I wondered what Baek Hyun-woo saw in her, apart from the fact that she is incredibly beautiful and rich, of course. It remains on her role in Lovestuck in the city, with her somehow cold and stiff manner. But, nevermind, this drama is one of the very, very best 👍💯🥰

One of the best dramas

I don't normally write reviews. But I felt the need to do so for this one. I don't know where to begin. I'm out of words, all the emotions I felt watching this masterpiece. It left me in tears. It's called 'Queen of tears', after all. From the first episode to the very last, I was crying, laughing, then crying again. I felt angry, sad, and happy. The last time I felt all this from a show was "Crash landing on you." It was my number one. Now I have 2 number one cause I can't choose between them. What I can easily say is that it's one of the best kdramas I've ever watched.

Best performance from all cast I wouldn't change any of them. They cast the best for each role. The chemistry between Kim Ji-Won and Kim Soo-hyun is top-notch. I will miss each and every one of them. My weekends won't be the same.

If you like crash landing on you, you will definitely like this one for sure. I recommend this show 100%

An emotional heart-wrenching drama you should not miss out on.

This drama made me cry so freaking much but in a good way. It does deserve all the accolades it gets. The acting is top tier and the story is good too. Even though it makes you cry it keeps pulling you back in for more. That's what I loved about this drama. Definitely a gem.

Phenomenal!

First of all, everyone who's involved in the drama did an outstanding job!
As a huge fan of the main characters since HEIRS and MY LOVE FROM THE STARS. I'm so honored to see them grow as an actor and actress.
They deserve all the praise and awards.
Beating CLOY... is not something I'll be shooked. I love CLOY.. they were my number 2 fav in kdramas but the plot, story, and acting of this drama are just above beyond my expectations.
It's more like... VIEWERS OF TEARS.
The emotions they put into their characters are just....speechless.
I'm in love.
Truly deserved awards...Plenty!
Thank you for the rollercoasters of emotions.
Giving me the feelings of happiness, sadness, anger, and thrills.

Thank you, QUEEN OF TEARS CAST. ◇♡◇

Hope to see them more in future dramas♡
Im rooting for you guys!
