Great potential, but it's too short

The story is interesting. I have seen other series where we have debtors and creditors, but never as the main couple. So, it was quite an original storyline. I do wish it was longer though, especially as the ending seem very sudden and rushed. The location was absolutely stunning and the OST was very catching. The BTS clips were cute and funny as well.

I really enjoyed the sound effects whenever Sun (Prem) did something silly. It really made me focus on what is he going to mess up at that time. I absolutely loved the color scheme of Athit’s (Boun’s) clothes in the series as well. The beachy vibes and colors fit him incredibly well. And Prem rocked the orange hair!

I swear that whoever decided to put Prem into the role of a wanna-be tough guy deserves a raise. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I always see Prem as a cutie, no bad boy vibes. So, seeing him in such role was interesting. I absolutely loved how they made him the absolute worst debt collector who is scared of the debtors, ghosts and cockroaches. It was an interesting combination of traits that he pulled of incredibly well.

Athit was interesting as well. At first, I thought he is very serious and responsible, someone who has no time for fun. But then he played Sun, tricked him into his trap, and we got to see a more mischievous and free spirited side of him that I enjoyed as well.

I am a sucker for side couples, but I wish there would be less of a focus on them through the series. It’s already quite short, so having so much time spent on the side couples was a bit annoying as it ate into the screentime of Athit and Sun. Which might also why I find the ending very rushed and making very little sense.

What happened?

I expected so much more from this series. 6 episodes was detrimental for this show. The story was half baked and rushed. I'm mot sure how it even got to Sun and Atid falling in love. The side couple made far more sense to me. Also, still trying to figure out the purpose of half the characters. Maybe I need to rewatch it but I definately feel these actors deserved a better script and more than 6 episodes. Having said that the scenery and OST are amazing. Watch it for that and hopefully the story will make more sense to you than it did to me!

Half Baked

Amazing environment and great cinematography.
Music was really nice as well.

I think the downfall of this series was the execution of the plot.

The plot in itself is interesting and it could've worked well had the details been fleshed out a bit more and given a bit more love to really get the audience invested in it. Given the fact that this was a 6 episode series, they tried to fit too many side characters and stories in and were were not able to establish the main characters well.

Casting was great but they could've done more with BounPrem.
I felt detached from the characters up until the last episode and the sudden escalation in the relationship felt our of place. :(

I wish I could give a better review because I love this pairing but unfortunately this series felt a bit half baked.

This made me smirk guaranteed every episode

At first I was like "Okay I have no idea what the hell I'm watching" but right after the first episode they got me.
I guess you either love or hate this type of style - I've loved it.
All the kinda over the top things, with the sound effects and the acting of everyone. Just such a feelgood series.
Yep, and I have to say now I also wanna travel to Thailand, because, come on, how freaking beautiful is it there?

If you wanna watch something serious or realistic or something, ...this maybe not the right thing for you.
But if you just wanna watch a cute, fun thai show this is your go to.

Cute Fluff Series

Even Sun was my bright spot during the weekly BL line up. Boun and Prem had outstanding chemistry as usual, but I appreciated that they did not fall in love at first sight and had to work on even liking each other. There are many unresolved subplots, but they make room for a series about Mangkorn and Ashing, and will Nai end up with Nemo or Talay? As long as Nemo doesn't end up with JJ, I don't care.

This is not an intellectual or high action series. It's a goofy comedy, and that's how deep it goes.

Hell, no!

A nightmarish fever dream of a BL, "Even Sun" has me confused even now. What was that, what was is supposed to be, who greenlit this project and why were BounPrem pulled into this mess?

The main plot (once you get to the final episode) makes sense and there even is more than one story told in this show (or a fragmented story if you will). However, someone forgot to prepare an actual script – one that would make sense – and they filmed the show without it. I saw some BTS footage and noticed something resembling a script held by the director or someone from the crew – I’m pretty convinced most pages were blank.

Dreadful and/or absent writing isn’t the show’s only problem – it’s complemented by awful performances. To be fair here, I assume that those performances resulted from lack of script and direction – cast members felt like they were left to their own devices, wondering the sets aimlessly. Some seemed genuinely confused by this production they were a part of, while others tried to adjust to it. Sadly, Prem was lost to the madness of "Even Sun", attuning to it and giving an almost incomprehensible performance. It’s Prem, so it’s still watchable, but I wasn’t amused nor entertained. Boun tries to fight the nightmare by surrounding himself – and, by extension, his character – with a bubble of impenetrable coolness. This works most of the time and Boun leaves "Even Sun" generally unscathed, with only slightly tarnished reputation. I won’t dwell on other cast members nor their performances, as they are either no-names or performers known to appear in horrible shows.

Imagine Boun, all angelic and ageless, with stunningly beautiful Prem, this time orange-haired, strolling on a pristine beach at sunset. Sounds great, doesn’t it? "Even Sun" has visuals like that and more – but has nothing else of value. A proud bounpremsexual, I’m left disappointed and sad – but also cherishing the thought of much better shows by the duo.

Cute Short Series

This is a really cute, six episodes short series, very soft romance and i love the OST .. the scenery is so beautiful as well as the visuals of the actors ... enjoyed watching !! if the storyline was more developed it would have been a longer series but i guess thats not what they were going for.. its a sweet quick refreshing watch !!

Seeing BounPrem on my screen is just sheer delight ... i love their chemistry .. the way Boun was just so relaxed, making his acting look so natural.. he can do no wrong in my eyes.. lmao...

BounPrem Flops in First Leading Roles

Between Us is really gonna make or break them because they have yet to give us a leading role.. and I hope it delivers cause this is one of the worse BL's ever coming from a bl powercouple.. right next to thats my candy from kim and copter.
despite them being extremely popular BounPrem have not yet proven they can successfully lead a show and EvenSun being their first leading role together isn't a good sign. I must say the shining stars of this show was the boxing couple.. their chemistry was electric and I look forward to seeing Lee with Frank in Love Syndrome the series. These two in that bedroom scene their eyes were telling the entire story and it's so far my favorite part of the entire series.. also Justice for Nemo and his lack of screentime.

I love it

As a bounprem fan it was amazing for what it is, this was made to be a fun goofy story with the love story as a bonus for the fans as we wait for between us, it wasn't made to be some epic love story just something to watch and get a laugh with a added love story, Watching boun try to be cold tp prem was amazing cause if your a fan you know he could never be that cold to him.

finding out Arthid father and sun's fathers were best friends was shocking but the way it was hinted at made it have that rewatch value I love, them adding in suns hair color as a story plot cause Prem show up with the hair color not telling anyone he was dying it to give Sun a chance to stand out from other character's he play was more than I could ask for.

Over all I didn't find anything confusing like other are saying and I loved that Arthid and Sun had this fighting and flirting at the same time thing going on.

It was a short series that could have been really good if it was not rushed. The lead actor have g eat chemistry but the story was all over the place and it didn't make sense. There is no character development and your left wanting to know why this was so rushed and wishing things were done differently.

Very Convoluted

I basically watched this drama for 2 reasons:
1. it's only 6 episodes long so if I don't like it I won't feel like I've wasted much of my time
2. Boun + Prem are the main characters.

I think this drama had a lot of potential, the overall premise is pretty good but the execution was off. There are too many characters and plot points and not enough time to explore them all. It feels like some of them were forced in for no reason, and their existence has no influence on the overall plot, you could take them out and nothing would change. By episode 3 I just started skipping through their parts because I actually had no attachment to them and felt like their existence was just there to bulk out the run time, which makes no sense when you're only making the drama 6 episodes long.

The writing is also kinda cringe, I had to pause a lot. I know it's not meant to be an ultra-serious drama, but apart from that it doesn't actually seem to know what it wants to be.

I wouldn't in good conscience recommend this show to anyone, but I don't regret watching it. However, I don't think it has much rewatch value, if any at all.

A Speed Run BL LOL

Rated= 7~ 26.5/50 ~ 5.3
RPG Scene // Mage trying really hard to fix the Crumbling Castle. No magic, just an Axe

The biggest thing I can say about this series is f**kin LMAO
Dear jeebus, what just happened, and what makes it even funnier is that whoever subbed the show on iquyi clearly hated us all LOL
This is probably more for fans of the the actors because the average watcher will probably just be left wtf-ing into the night.
To be fair, if it was fully developed into 12-14 episodes, it would have been a really sweet series.
It's pretty light hearted, fluffy and the humour is there. Having said that, I still enjoyed this for what it was. It was like watching a really sweet island BL at twice the speed LOL They just made sure to hit all the major points to get the plot across and nothing more.
There was obviously something happening in the background for it to have lost half of it's time but whatever, I came for Boun and Prem and wasn't disappointed. I've been distracted by Boun in Between Us, and both guys were support characters in Until We Meet Again, so this time, I got to see Prem in a more adorable light this time and he's gone up the rankings of my favourite's list <3
