It follows a group of medical students nearing graduation who travel to a remote research institute on a South Pacific island. There, they uncover a strange tentacle that appears to come back to life and multiply. Soon, eerie events begin to occur, with their teachers and friends falling victim to a deadly parasite, and fear turns the group against one another.
