They both deal with hobbies except Tokusatsu Gagaga is much more comedic in tone with the heroine already into her niche (watching superhero shows and buying related merch).
Both series have a female protagonist whose rather unassuming to start with. However, these same unassuming protagonists grow and change once they begin building, customizing and altering these ordinary puromo (plastic models) into their own unique pieces.
Both stories center around adults in a corporate setting, releasing stress via the construction and play with childhood toys. Short, sweet, and rather refreshing takes on what it means to live a full life.
