I’m sorry but overrated

The beginning was good and as people said it has so much potential. I love the foundation of the story (some were a bit unrealistic but it was acceptable since this is a comical superpower show like its preceding season.) With that being said, I am not comparing the two, I can’t even remember the plot of the first one, except that I enjoyed it.

My main thoughts about this is that they tried to squeeze in TOO MANY for 16 episodes. Too packed that you don’t even understand what’s going on anymore.

My first ‘eyebrow raise’ moment was when she met her mom for the first time. They were reunited after almost 20 years, crying and hugging, then suddenly they were talking about something random? Then even her reunion with the rest of the family was too underwhelming, they moved on too fast. Right away she was onto this spy mission, and you can barely see her with her family. She was lost for a long time and NOW you found her and that’s it?

They’re moving too fast with the scenes that the emotions aren’t showing enough of what it’s so supposed to show BUT it’s draggy at the same time. (Idk how to explain,, that’s how I felt).

The mom is annoying too I AM SORRY. I love that she’s living “FOR A CAUSE” but she’s like a bulldozer, she doesn’t think first before taking actions. And sometimes she do things that aren’t smart and even IF they are smart it doesn’t sound and look smart. 🙈 Her character is too comical. Imo

There’s too much going on that the story is all over the place. Even her homeless friend have been gone for 2 episodes or so, and now the grandfather is back…and received a surgery…for what?

I wish they had skipped some of these funny scenes to just make a more wholistic story because HONESTLY, I don’t know WHY the grandma’s role is there, what is her role’s essence in the storyline?

I know I haven’t finished the whole thing yet. I WILL be finishing it because I am still curious. The only way I’d change my mind about this is if they’ll be able to tie up everything properly at the end.

I don't get it

So for some crazy reason everyone is Shitting on this drama which happens to actually be my favorite... specially the cliff hanger in the end.

The acting was quite good along with the chosen cast BUT PLEASE STOP MAKING VILLAINS HOT.

The end was cute I love that everything worked out yeah kinda a cliche but still worth the watch don't pay attention to all the bad reviews cause those people didn't fully watch it in order to understand the picture you need to watch the full thing.

Skip unless you like Byeon Woo Seok

First and foremost, the breakout star of the drama is Byeon Woo Seok. I found myself watching only his scenes and skipping much of the rest. His portrayal of Ryu Si O is particularly well executed, especially in terms of facial expression and emotional control. In scenes with Kang Nam Sun, he conveys genuine warmth and care, showing a softer side for the right person, which adds depth to his character. I also appreciated the complexity of Ryu Si O, as the narrative offers insight into his background and personal struggles.

In contrast, most of the other performances feel overly performative, making them difficult to take seriously. I was especially uninterested in the grandmother’s romantic storyline, which felt unnecessary and poorly paced. The screen time devoted to this subplot could have been used more effectively elsewhere. The lack of strong performances also made it difficult to root for the protagonists, who lacked both depth and complexity. Moreover, the ending was unsatisfying; Ryu Si O, who had consistently been calculated and intelligent, suddenly acted in ways that felt contrived, as if the writers simply rushed to conclude the story.

The main character also suffers from weak chemistry with others on screen, resulting in interactions that feel forced and awkward. Interestingly, Lee You Mi displays stronger chemistry with Byeon Woo Seok, though not in a way that enhances the overall narrative.

Ultimately, the only standout elements besides Byeon Woo Seok are the special appearances by Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik.

Trash

There's nothing to talk about here. There's nothing good to say. Does injustice to the original series. The worst drama of the year. Anybody who has this in their resume should be ashamed to have been a part of such a horrible show. The writer and the ppl that signed off on this garbage should never work in the industry again. That's how bad this drama is.

Loud, Chaotic, and Squandered Potential

This drama had strength, visibility, and momentum and somehow dropped all of them.

Strong Girl Namsoon aims for quirky chaos but lands in tonal confusion. What should have been a fun, empowering spin on the Strong Girl universe becomes a noisy mix of exaggerated humor, uneven storytelling, and underdeveloped emotional stakes. The energy is high, but direction is not.

The biggest disappointment is the writing. Characters feel more like caricatures than people, with jokes repeated until they lose impact and plotlines that struggle to build meaningful tension. The superpower concept, once charming, is reduced to spectacle without emotional grounding, making it hard to care about outcomes.

The pacing is erratic. Scenes jump between slapstick comedy and attempted seriousness without earning either, creating a disconnect that breaks immersion. Instead of clever subversion, the show leans heavily on excess, assuming louder means funnier and stranger means better.

Despite a capable cast and a premise that should have worked, Strong Girl Namsoon never finds its footing. It mistakes chaos for charm and novelty for substance, leaving behind a story that feels more exhausting than entertaining.

💣 2/10 for a concept with promise that collapses under poor execution and unfocused storytelling.

Better than expected

Byeon Woo-seok is definitely the most eye catching thing about this show but overall I don't think it deserves all these low ratings. Story wise, it isn't as good as it's predecessor, but enjoyable enough. BW does a great job as the villain Ryu Shi-o. He manages to not fall into the pit of a 2D bad guy and his character was better written than that of Gang Nam-soon whose overly bright personality just got on my nerves after awhile.

BW really shows his range here as the character is a million mile away from his role in Lovely Runner. Wearing tailored suits and a menacing glare, there is no doubt he's a dangerous killer, but you are also given insights as to why he is like he is. He deserved a better ending to his story, but what got me about it was Ryu Shi-o was an intelligent character, but really it was so obvious Gang Nam-soon was a spy. She barely tried to hide it, which was something he surely would have noticed day 1.

Weirdly Addicting

I must preface that I was completely captivated once again with the acting skills of Byeon Woo-seok. I was in shock for a while because the other two dramas I have seen him in had characters that were so sweet, and his eyes reflected something wholesome and kind. Yet this character was deeply sinister and violent.

Most of the story was good, super human strength passed down to the females in the family. They were smart, fearless and capable to a point.

My favorite was the Grandmother. She way coy and flirtatious, but carried about her business in a no nonsense attitude. She loved her family and was willing to sacrifice herself for them.

The stunt work wasn’t that good. When Nam-Soon was carrying men or heavy things her body placement and angles made the scenes look cartoonish rather than believable.

The story line wasn’t too bad. It was entertaining for the most part. Some of the acting was odd and didn’t really fit the character buildup of the FL in the first few chapters. There was no growth into her character except for the little bit in regards to the fire and her jumping in and out of windows to rescue people. She goes from naive free-spirit to instant actress and investigator in a heartbeat. She was eccentric and her character was over-acted in my opinion. (side note, they should have left her hair long, the haircut she had was t flattering at all.

The FL’s mother was portrayed beautifully. She appeared narcissistic and self-absorbed but had a heart for justice and second chances. And let’s face it, she rocked that leather riding suit like a pro.

The story progressed at an excellent pace, and the breadcrumbs that were left of Si-o’s character made you feel a little guilty for disliking him so much.

The only side story that was ended oddly was the homeless couple she first met when she arrived in Korea. The way the female character treated her male counterpart was a fitting ending. But it should have ended with him regretting his choices as she walked away.

I don’t really remember much of the music as it seemed to blend in too much and didn’t stand out enough to make an impression.

Overall, it was a good show, but it will be a long time before I rewatch.

Well…

I mean it’s exactly as what’d you’d expect especially if you watched strong woman do bongsoon first.

Personally I found this show pretty entertaining but I felt really sorry for the villain Ryo Shio. I wish they would’ve given him a happy ending honestly.

There isn’t much for me to touch on, I think the show was really silly at times and funny but I guess that’s the genre it is in general.

I think they made nam soon a little too much hyper and quirky and made it a bit cringe.

The cop was cute but compared to Ryo Shio he didn’t seem to have much of a personality…Or maybe I just inevitably choose villains over heroes but!

Overall I actually would LOVE a season 2 because of the cliffhanger at the end. So you’re telling me there’s a guy with the power too? Such a good plotwist.

I would love to meet the new character! However i’m not sure if this show will get renewed but who knows, it only recently ended.

It’s a quirky show really, same premise as the OG, nothing special. But cute and good for keeping you entertained when bored.

This show was a disappointment

The drama wasn't executed properly, Guem ju, Nam Soon s mother had more screen than namsoon herself, at some point it felt like I was watching the show of namsoon s mother, the main leads's chemistry wasn't great either nam soon and Kang Hee Sik barely spent time together, tbh namsoon spent more time w ryu si o. The drama is really confusing the storyline is messed up, and they r many useless characters with no purpose.Plus Namsoon s grandmother and her boyfriend were really cringe.
Well overall in the end this drama was watchable and funny,
You can watch it if you want to but it's a okay okay drama👍🏽

Well i won't surpass the first 1 i assure u that

First of all the story is lacking i mean they have this great cast but what the ML and FL fall in love likie in the first 2-3 episode just like that no chemistry btwn them whatsoever just like that the camera pauses for 3 seconds they in love really, which means there is no chance 4 the second ML i mean he seems to be in the dark which unbelievable by the way that he doesnt know the girls real identity, its not there are alot of strong women in the country so what is the writer trying to do here make it a big reveal in later episodes that's bullshit they villain is well connected too he can easily find out about that anyway i didn't spoil anything im still skimming through when other episodes come out just so u know this remake wint catch up to the original i mean u gonna be in it up to episode 4 a feel like it hasn't started i watched the recent episode I'm still waiting for it to start this lame
