This is the type of drama we need to unwind after long, tired days. It’s light but not too light, and it warms your heart perfectly.

The ML and FL’s visuals are so so so adorable. Their overflowing chemistry adds everything so perfect and makes it so hard to resist.

I know that the story like Sang Zhi and Duan JiaXu is too good to be true, but I love how realistic the interaction in Sang Zhi’s family is. First, between Sang Zhi and her brother, Sang Yan. Seems real just like bro-sis in real life.
Second, the moment Sang Zhi’s parents convey their concerns about Duan JiaXu directly to him. I mean, despite how good man that he is, it’s just what happens in life, parents will still be worried about their daughter’s potential unhappiness, no matter how small it is. But they’re also reasonable enough to finally put trust in their daughter’s choice and say that if anything, they got their daughter’s back no matter what.

Wish ZLS would stop picking these roles

Being a ZLS fan I wish she'd be more selective with her roles.

Troubled drama:
1. Single line story line. It's fine if its paper thin story line with some witty dialogue but .... you can sum this up in 1 line so why so many episodes?
2. Wrong age casting: Little zls played by a great young actress but she's 10 playing a 14 yr old. In love like galaxy ZLS played a 15 year old just fine. Total avoidable pedophile feel.
3. ML keep on referring himself as "Ge ge" in 3rd person. Like no one talks like that EVER. In English, it's like saying something like : "Big bro will take you home... " "Tell big bro blahblahblah" "Big bro refer to self as big bro...."
4. ZLS downplay her age way too much. Her voice is always baby sounding even when she reached college age.
5. She keeps saying "I am adult now." "I am mature now." while sounding 14.....
5. Making big deal on 5 year difference even in college. That's just silly....

Few positives:
1. Her parents are both characters I loved in Love like Galaxy. Both positive parenting in this drama.
2. Her real brother scenes are funny, like a real brother "Big Dumb Dog"
3. ZLS's hair. She has great hair, beautiful highlights.

I can see 12 year olds would probably like this drama....

Heartwarming and fluttering

I absolutely adore this drama.
The drama adaptation of a novel by the same name develops a friendship turned romance.

We follow the FL, Sang Zhi, growing up and developing a crush turned first love towards her brothers best friend Duan Jiaxu. During her childhood, he is a supporting friend who sees her as a little sister. During this time, their relationship is truly that of friendship or siblings, with him helping her out with school and her harboring this secret crush.

Heartbroken and young, Sang Zhi looses contact with him on purpose to get over her love for him. When they reunite, her being in university in the same city as him, they restart their friendship and support each other. Slowly a budding romance starts to bloom that had me smiling and giggling all the time. By the time they are romantically interested in each other and developing a romance, they are both consenting adults with a 5 years age gap. This is something they both take into account and thus the romance and chemistry is immensly there whilst going at a slower pace to respect both of the characters consent and pace.

FL's older brother Sang Yan adds an comedic and warming place in the story. Him being the overprotective older brother that likes to joke a little much with Sang Zhi, further reminds us of the playful ways Sang Zhi used to behave towards her brother when she was younger.

Both Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu have their troubles along the way but their relationship is for the most part, very impressive with great communication and trust between each other.

I binged this drama in two weeks and didn't really feel the urge to skip forward in most of the scenes. Both main characters are exceptionally acted by their actors Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan, and Victor Ma as the brother, who each really gave wonderful light to the story with brilliant portrayal. The music complimented the story so much with its love-themed ballads and song. This is one of the few dramas that I would consider 10/10 for me.

Its the perfect youth-drama if you are looking for an fluttering romance where the actors have ALOT of chemistry and lovely dovey scenes. The first part of the drama focuses on family and one-sided first love. Moving on to the second part where FL has grown, focuses on friendship, a slowgrowing romance (between adults!) and family.
I really do recommend this to everyone that likes a drama where romance can be portrayed in various ways and where the young protagonist San Zhi grows with time and experience new things when reaching adult age.

I grew up again with Sang Zhi and Jiaxu and fell in love all over again.

I was 15 when I started watching dramas. I’m 30 now, romance in dramas doesn’t capture me as much now. I want to fall in love again like I used to and this drama made it happen. I’m writing this crying because it ended and it was just too good. This drama was perfect, from start to end, their love story and how it progressed. I’m craving more even now. She got her dream and the little girl in me lived my own dreams with her. The slow way their love this progressed. I thought it might feel weird since they met when she was so small, but their story gradually passed through time and blossomed in a beautiful way. I loved it so much.

Different from others “typical cdrama”

The story is different from any typical chinese drama. This is one of the best production for me. I love the plot and their acting is no joke, the chemistry makes me failed to moving on from them until now. They really did a great job for casting the actors! Loved the cinematography too. The characters all good, theres no freakin evil one. Idk i can say the story is quite healthy and good for healing. Well, for me, theres still has the cdramas vibes but this one is more makes sense ykwim. I just love this sm. A Beautiful Love Story We All Wish For…

OMG I have no words to express how much I love this drama. All I need to say is if you haven’t seen Hidden Love yet, drop whatever it is that your doing and go watch this drama. You will not regret watching this drama it should be a must watch on everyone drama lovers list.

I just wish a guy like a Duan Jaixu and brother like Sang Yan existed in real life. Oh how I wish to have a love story like Sang Zhi and Duan Jaixu, I guess we will only find a perfect guy like Duan Jaixu in our dreams. The character development between the two characters were amazing and the chemistry between all the characters were so perfect. The way Sang Zhi portrayed her heartbreak in one the earlier episodes thinking that her feelings were rejected and the way she cried. Oh my god she deserves an award for the way this scene touched the viewers hearts. Watching her cry like that, the sadness she felt in that moment I felt it too. I cried watching that scene as it made me feel I was also getting rejected of my feelings. Afterwards the way Sang Yan the brother comforted made me cry once again to see the brotherly love and care he had towards her. These scenes felt so real.

I think it’s right to say that she fell first but he fell harder. She started loving him at the wrong time but he fell for her at the right moment and everything worked out perfectly. Honestly I have no words for this drama except just perfect. I am writing this review late. I finished watching this drama when it first started airing. I was hooked onto it from the beginning till the end. After I finished this drama I have probably till now have seen for 5 more times and I still get the same excitement rewatching this drama. That’s how much this drama is perfect. It’s a drama where you get to follow along Sang Zhi and Duan Jaixu fall madly in love at the perfect time. We get experience a story from her young self to her adult life.

This drama is honestly an amazing story and makes you feel super happy. I enjoyed watching this drama so much and this will forever be my favourite comfort drama. Once again to anyone who haven’t seen this drama yet go watch it now you will not regret it. A beautiful love story between two very beautiful characters. It will make you wanting a boyfriend like Duan Jaixu and a loving brother, protective and caring brother like Sang Yan. Duan Jaixu will definitely raising boyfriend standards in all girls.

It has undoubtedly secured its place as one of my all-time favorite modern dramas, standing proudly alongside "Lighter and Princess." FOXY SEDUCTIVE YET CUTE

I loved the story line after watching 8 episodes, I was anxious, so I started reading the novel (the best parts are still there). I totally recommend watching this light, fluffy, and no-mess drama. I loved Luci's acting, especially in some particular scenes. ML (I watched him in Our Secret, and Mr. Bad) is sure a good actor. The actor who played Sang Yan has become my new crush. His physique and style growing up were fabulous. I heard there will be a spin-off, sadly, they aren't considering him for the main lead, although I would love to watch him as Sang Yan again!

Watching this drama is like living in a fairyland

Get ready to fall in love( Even if you're not in real life) with a cute couple and their ups and downs as they navigate through life and being a couple.

The story is simple. An unrequited childhood crush. Well, the FL is so young when she starts having feelings for the handsome Gege who is 5 years older than her. Yet, she has to forget him for the time being. But guess what? Destiny has other plans for her!
This is one of those dramas that will make you go crazy to wait. Everything about it is perfect. The story, acting, visuals, OST, everything! it's like a fairyland made into reality. It's sweet. It gives you butterflies. The long gazes and touches are swoon-worthy. However, living in a fairyland is not without problems!

Plot Summary:
The drama starts off with a 14 yo student and her brother's chronicles with his friends. The FL starts having a one-sided crush on his bro's friend, however, she decides to erase him completely from her life. a few years later and the FL is now a sweet and caring university student in the city her old crush lives. Romance sparkles, despite the difference and the ML's past history. Yet again, the love is so deep and the leads are so mature that they turn these obstacles into possibilities and make their own fairytale. and not to mention the many beautiful kiss scenes and the awesome chemistry we get to see!

First impression:
Since episode 1, we get to see a very beautiful family and friends. The vibe is pure bliss and there mild mishaps every once in a while. This drama is overall a feel-good drama filled with lots of emotions, so it was expected to give off positive feelings( albeit it gets a little overwhelming as the story goes)

Acting:
I was familiar with ZLS since watching some of her dramas back then. she is a sweet actress and puts so much emotions into her acting, as if she is playing her real self. Kudos to her for delivering a beautiful character. CZY, on the other hand, it was my first time seeing him in a drama and I dare say he is decently talented. He is a heartthrob and managed the role beautifully. All the other cast members showed a great portrayal, especially Victor Ma who plays Sang Yan. I hope he takes acting seriously and we will see him in more roles.( It was fun watching him bicker his sister by calling her Little devil LOL)

Writing:
I'm unfamiliar with the authors involved, but the story is not without fault. However, the story's pacing and the production made it very entertaining to watch. I just wish they wouldn't cut the kiss scenes and use so much edits. Yet, we can always watch the BTS videos and enjoy the kisses LOL

Production and Cinematography:
I dare say this drama has a good quality compared to many Cdramas i have watched before. The lighting and edits are so improved. Even the dubbing is much better and we get to hear the lead's real voices. The places used for this drama were all according to the story and matched the mood accordingly.

Music:
This drama has the cutest selection of songs. we even get to hear to the lead's singing voice too! i loved the background pieces of music too, however, i couldn't find it anywhere. hope they release it soon.

Last but not least, if you're a romantic and die for romantic dramas with the least complications and cringe, and at the same time crave romantic scenes and beautiful chemistry, be sure to check this drama. It's a solid 10/10. highly recommended.
