It had the best writing ,best acting,best music ,best everything !

Firstly about all the actors ,they did very well with micro expressions .Apart from the leads ,I loved the acting of the ' sang yan ' and the 3 other friends of sang zhi .

coming to the writing , it was damn realistic and yet interesting . I need to appreciate the attention to detail . I know that it is adapted from novel but still the team did very well in adapting the story into a drama and making it very memorable .

genreally music dominates the scenes mostly ,which diconnects the viewer ,but here it's completely contrast ,music blends with the visuals and uplifts them .Music at the emotional breakdowns of sang zhi and Duan 'll make viewer emphatize with them . I could write pages about the music of this drama .

I repeat everything about this drama is so perfect ! It is a one such drama that a keen drama watcher should never miss at any cost !


I just want to brainwash / erase my brain and want to join Duan and sangzhi 's story from the very start again !

I think there'll be no sequel but i'll be very greatful if there is something like that ,just i want to see them again 😭

Very cute and non toxic relationship drama

This drama is so good and cute you will fall in love from episode 1 itself , this drama revolves around a school girl falling in love with a 5 years age gap boy (brothers friend) the one sided love she had for him and fighting for his love desperately and then male lead actor didn’t know about her love but loved her when she was in college and he has such a gentleman character I love those kind of characters , hope more dramas shows such gentle characters boys, this drama showed about friendship , family, one sided love , responsibility of the family burden , cute love story without any 3 rd person involved no fights no sad tears it was really a best and sweet drama I enjoyed every episode and the female lead also had a attractive character not a baby and innocent girl not a badass girl it is just a ambiverg character who can be silent as kid as well as matured and brave character who wants to protect her boyfriend well done story highly recommended

I think every person, especially girls, can relate to Sang Zhi because, at some point, all of us fall for that one person who we can't confess our feelings to for different reasons. I like this drama a lot. I usually don't like Chinese dramas because most of them are too long or some have historical plots that I don't like. There are very few historical Chinese dramas that I watched, but I obviously loved them. But again, they were so long, so when I had enough of long dramas, I decided to stop watching them anymore.
I wanted to watch this for a long time but couldn't get free time, but really, the wait was worth it. I enjoyed it so much, and I cry a lot. One thing I didn't like about Sang Zhi's character was that she was too simple, like she always nodded her head whenever Jia Xu stopped her from doing anything. I mean, no offense. Obviously, he was just worried for her in the whole drama, but still, I think she needs to stop him some time (like when he stopped her from dating when she was already an adult and was already in university). It's understandable that he just wants to protect her, but still, because she was in her move-on phase, she needs to push him and stop him from interfering, especially when he meets her after 2 years. From a girl's point of view, it feels more controlling than worrying about her. I mean, it's understandable that you love him so much, but still, it doesn't mean you have to do everything he tells you to do. On one side, you're saying that you're already an adult, and on the other, you're letting him make decisions for you. seriously?
As for Jia Xu, I think he should have understood that Sang Zhi is his best friend's younger sister and not his, so he needs to stay in his lane and not interfere in her matters as long as she isn't asking for help or isn't in danger. These two really frustrate me on this. As for their friends, especially Sang Zhi's friends, they were so supportive that I really want friends like them. They were ideal friends.
Let's not forget about the ongoing sibling quarrel. They were so cute and adorable throughout the drama, and I wish I had a brother like him; they were just so adorable. It was a horror when he found out that his baby sister was dating his best friend. I was actually expecting the beating, but I didn't think that they'd sort it out in a night. It was funny when Sang Zhi fought for Jia Xu with her brother in the cafe and then changed sides when she found out that her boyfriend punched her brother. That scene was so cute that I really wanted to pinch Sang Zhi's cheeks there.
Over all, the drama was too good—more than I expected. I waited to watch this drama because I was busy, but I think the wait was worth it. I'm in love with them.

everythingggggg sooo gooddd.. everyy episode will make you forget all your worries.. their acting, the story, romance level, fluffyness..everything is soo good..this is my best chinese drama i watched till now... soo good.. i cried alot, i laugh alot, i blushed on every teasing he did...i think the best point of the drama is chen zheyuan smile.. its freaking killed me...i feel so proud like a mom when shan zhi finally got his crush love back lol... i think i got into the story so much, now i can't move on from this.. Sang zhi and Duan jia xu got happy ending..my heart is heavy that this drama is over but also happy it's happy ending for them... I swear you will not regret this watching this.everyy episode is so so good.. i smiled so much in every episode..ahhhh why it's end..i miss them soooo much.. besttt modern chinese drama.. i cryyy withh themm, i laugh with them...i was enjoyed every moment of them.. it's feel like i am the part of their storyy.. veryy veryyyyyy recommended...

I'm crying with joy

OK so This Drama is not one of the best I watched
It's literally THE BEST ONE I watched. Idk If there will be a drama that's gonna overcome this one.
I dont know If there is any TV series that made me smile so much ( that I got smiling lines and I'm unhappy about that 😩 )
Zhao Lusi played her role to well. I was a big fan of her from 2020 but this Drama actually proved everything I thought of her. Her crying is so realistic that sometimes I cried with her . I never knew that someone actually can be that good at acting. Chen Zheyuan ate his role. I have never heard of him before but now I'm a huge fan of him.
Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan are couple that we never knew we needed. I love how their relationship has evolved over time.
The story line is PERFECT there's no lacks.
Every cast proved what skills they have.
I hope there will be season 2 🙏 when they get married and maybe they will have kids.
I highly recommend 'Hidden Love' 🩷

One person, forever.

Sometimes home is a person, and happiness the sound of the heartbeat that resides there.

It's been some time since I've written a proper review but this drama sincerely deserves it.

If you're worried about the age gap aspect here, set those worries aside, it's been done extremely well and tastefully. This is a drama about two people who meet at all the right times, and who are what the other needs throughout all of the hardships and hidden wounds. Every green flag you can think of is in here. There is no misunderstandings, the couple works together to make their relationship mesh well despite their different places in life, and they will have you smiling and crying the entire time.

Hidden Love is heartwarming in all the best ways. Not only is there romance, but familial love as well. Every single relationship, from SZ's friends to DJX's buddies, is something wholesome and it is portrayed so naturally it's hard to not believe they are real friends who have known each other for years. I adored every single character as they grew together and leaned on each other.

The music is perfect, and by the end will have you sobbing and smiling at the same time, and the pacing in Hidden Love is absolute perfection. There wasn't a moment where I wanted to skip ahead or felt like there could have been more. This is a feel good drama and it is extremely well done.

If you need softness and a beautiful love story, give this a try!

A lot of things were hidden, mainly the reason.

This was a sweet story at times, frustrating at other times.

My biggest gripe comes from the FL character early on.

It almost seemed as if the 14 year old version was more mature than the 18 year old.

I had a hard time at one point keeping track of her age due to her overly childish behavior and ridiculous baby voice.

No one I know has ever acted or talked like that.

From other reviews it seems she does this intentionally (?) which is even more bizarre for a character to do.

The ML was pure eye candy and he knows it.

This role was just another way for him to boost his fan count.

I disliked the way he dressed / styling of his character.

Some scenes his jeans seemed too high up and he'd have his shirt tucked in like someone's grandpa.

A 5 year age difference is not that much, especially not to dress him so much older.

I appreciated the few times they did things and it was a first for both.

Example: walking together on campus and then he plays basketball.

Even though he had already been to college, he didn't have the chance to do 'couple things'.

We saw very little development in his feelings for the FL though which was a let down.

It was very sudden and not very convincing.

The reason seems to be a complete mystery other than a few flashbacks of him looking at her (very short span of time).

He literally was calling her kid and treating her like a little sister one day and then BAM! all of a sudden he's head over heels in love with her.

How?

They could've spent more time developing that part of the story and less time on the fact that his dad killed someone while drunk driving.

I also didn't understand the constant emphasis on how wealthy the FL supposedly was.

They seemed to be middle class, maybe a little higher.

Not too impressive but somehow was a big point.

The leads are both good actors so they played their parts well, but their chemistry was very lacking.

Not a popular opinion, but given my seasoned experience, one I am sticking with.

I was not moved by it, but overall it was a good watch.

Just not worth all the 9s and 10s floating about.

LOVE IS IN AIR...

This drama is very refreshing and light weight. it tells the story of a girl who has a crush on his brother's friend. How his crush devlops into love. Here u can see 👀how everyone one is moving forward in their life plus how it is very important to trust someone. Here the ML have some tragic past but FL fully trusts her and protect him. This drama also shows who always looks caring and good also have some inner sadness. ML is just not perfect💯. He started to become perfect because of his past to never be like his father.

In acting literally both the main actors have done the great 👍job. For me chen zheyuan was not new but I'm a big fan of our secret🤫. I loved his eye expression they are just superb. This was the first time i watch zhao lusi I liked her acting very, she really look liked a teenager and ahe was cute. All cast has done quite good job. I like the victor Ma's character the most.

The Main thing about this drama is that it is light and soothing , it gives a feel. of satisfaction , happiness , etc.
Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu have the best chemistry and no words can be used to express that

So Hidden Love is a 10/10 for me for being that perfect light romance drama that makes you blush in and out with the butterflies. it's worth checking out for the fluffy, sugar factor!! Would definitely recommend it!!

Today I finished it
the drama is perfect in all respects, and the most thing I liked about it is the romance with a “realistic” character, which many Chinese Dramas Lack of the character of realism, to be Honest.
The Chimestry between the FM & M leads and the rest of the characters,The story, the smoothness of Their LOVE Hints, the Shooting Quality, The acting, and the absence of embarrassing Moments or “Creepy and Gloves” under the name of Love is the best thing in this Drama (wonderful point).
I classify it as one of the top 10 romantic dramas I've watched in my life, not only By Asian Dramas
I enjoyed it very much and Completed it, although it is impossible for me to finish a drama. I always leave the last two episodes and do not watch it
I liked all its details, but what I didn't like was only one thing; It is the bold moments between them .. Because the FM Lead is considered a teenager in the drama, and the M lead is a young man in his twenties, so it is supposed to be pure love until she gets a little older!!
But the Whole drama is a masterpiece and there's no Complication in, I just and Their heartwarming Romance made me fluttering..
The last episode touched my heart and left very deep impact in my heart and Soul
I would say it is the best romantic C-drama ever
Also, It deserves the fame it got, the first places On charts and Congratulations Netflix Bought the drama rights.

A perfect Feel Good Story.

For me, Hidden Love is one of the Best dramas of 2023.

The relationship between the siblings was delightful to watch. They portrayed the day-to-day banter between Sang Yan and Sang Zhi very accurately.

The chemistry between the Leads was excellent too. They did a fantastic job to bring these characters to life, their personality and relationship was very real. The build-up took time, but after that, it was very real and heartwarming to watch.

All the characters helped the show in their way. Sang Zhi's University friends and Jiaxu's Office colleagues also contributed to the drama very much. They are an integral part of the story.

The main plus point is the drama justified its title "Hidden Love". Those who have experienced Hidden crush / Love can relate to the emotional journey Sang Zhi goes through.

Also, there is no toxicity in this show. So one can enjoy this show and this show can make one's spirit go up.

The OST complements the show well too.

Every good thing has to end. Hidden Love has ended too. But I will rewatch it soon and no matter how many times I rewatch it, THIS DRAMA WILL never be old or monotonous to me.

I recommend everyone to watch this drama.
