Wife Cheats On Husband In her workplace, but plays victim.
A typical stereotype of working Chinese women. In home, looking after son and mundane life disgusts her so after a sudden fame, she starts working. Ridiculously, a blog writer needs to do everything around the office even have to go to dinner with boss. Just So happens, her first love works there, who has no sense of boundaries, drives her home, spends time with her and wife also enjoys the attention. But strangely this drama makes the husband as villain for standing up for himself, and not encouraging the mental cheating of her. Very very frustrating and disgusting. If you are married you should keep your distance from anyone whom you know is interested in you. But this drama tells us it's ok. It's women rights. DISGUSTING!!Was this review helpful to you?
All relationships as you go - Are a never ending learning curve.
It is a long drama, and not for its subject matter. Postpartum depression, working moms, home dads, aging parents, getting married, falling out of love, children, divorce, and financial choices were all serious story topics. Living being the main focus, and not in an engaging way.For a family series, there wasn't much warmth. I didn't feel the one-on-one main family dynamic, and the secondary couple were vanilla at best. I truly didn't know why they were there. The parents, and neighbor side stories were far more emotional and investing.
I would blame C-Dramas in general [30+ something married couples not their forte] but with this cast, I blame production for a meandering script that needed to show some love on screen. In a series with far to many episodes to fill with thoughts, diary entries and not much else in that category. I'm so neutral about it - I don't recommend it.
If you watch, stay out of comments. May YMV.

What a complete let down- wasted opportunity to focus on healing the family
Such a poor drama, the whole series i was waiting for the redemption arc of the FL but even till the end we didnt get that! such a toxic FL - i wasted my time on this series so you dont have to... FL disrespects her husband, becomes emotionally disengaged with her husband and child, lets her Ex lover comes into her life, divorces husband, kills unborn child, never regrets her actions and countless humiliations then gets back with the ML!!! i mean what a let down and waste of time! Was this review helpful to you?
this is not the same drama that the bad reviews are about
First, there is no infidelity by the FL, she is her own boss and in partnership with her female friend. I don't know what the other reviewers were watching. The warmth and quality acting of all the characters is just about the best I've ever seen. They must be
good friends in real life.
The mother of FL is over the top and unpleasant at first, but the family all laughs together and we realize
that the mother is not a caricature of a naggy mother in law after all. Good character development.
The kid who plays Aiwen is if anything, over the top adorable, perfectly cast and such a good actor that his relationship with the parents seems real. The other kid, Nuomi, is also super cute.
The story line and it's details, job pressures, attitudes about a stay-at-home Dad, are all convincing. No sugar coating of family/work competing pressures.
If anything is idealized, the character development of all the characters, while convincing and often heart-warming, is probably better than what happens to most people in real life where we don't change no matter what.
I have never written a review before although I've watched lots of IQiYi dramas, but I had to correct the bad review sof another drama accidentally posted for this one.
