Impressionable With Mystique & Intrigue

The latest entrant on JTBC’s mid-week block, Destined With You, has a lot to offer. With a stellar casting that includes big names like Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon, Ha Joon, Yura; the drama premiered to high ratings on Netflix. I have been closely keep a tab on JTBC’s official accounts, since the day this drama was announced. It has got nothing to do with my thirst for fantasy dramas, and everything to do with the fact that this show has both of my favorite stars. I’m a huge, huge fan of Jo Bo Ah and she is nothing short of adorable here. Following close on her heels is our handsome hunk, Rowoon, whose character has streaks of mystique and intrigue. The first two episodes do a decent job of setting the storyline, which is gripping and exciting. There is a lot happening in the pilot episodes; shamanism plays a pivotal role in this fantasy and the show is as riveting as the trailer that promises a love story that spans over 300 years.

Watch it or Not ?

Opening Shot: A thunderstorm rages over a mountain. A small, dilapidated building has “Police Line: Do Not Cross” tape stretching around it. Inside a woman’s body is lying motionless.

The Gist: It’s not a dead body we see in the first shot of the series but the very much alive body of Lee Hong Jo (played by Cho Bo-Ah). Hong Jo is a low level civil servant for the city of Onju’s Green Space Division where she responds to the worst complaints the citizens have: she cleans dead fish out of the local ponds, she tries to calm angry residents with noise complaints. While responding to a noise complaint about a construction site working all night, she tries to calm the tension between the workers and their angry neighbors, when one of the men in the construction crew throws himself off the fourth floor and dies.

Six months later, we see a trial playing out and a young lawyer named Jang Sin Yu, played by K-Pop star Rowoon, is defending the construction company in a negligence lawsuit brought by the dead man’s wife. Sin Yu proves he’s clever and cunning, revealing in court that the dead man and his wife planned for him to get injured on the job to collect insurance, and things went awry during his fall. He and the rest of his legal team are ruthless, but his lack of emotion and empathy aren’t his worst trait: He’s plagued by a mysterious curse that manifests in different ways. He has body tremors. When he’s alone, a bloody red hand envelopes his face. It’s not really clear if this curse if truly evil or what, but it obviously haunts Sin Yu every day of his life.

So what brings these two very different people living in very different worlds together?

After a young man who was hiking dies at the site of a mysterious and reportedly haunted temple, Hong Jo goes to investigate the scene of his accident. While she’s there, she gets spooked when she thinks a statue is speaking to her, and she slips and falls, getting knocked out. Sin Yu also happened to be there checking in on it, as his wealthy family owns the shrine and the land it was built on. Eventually, the shrine has to be demolished, but while it’s being torn down, Sin Yu unearths a wooden box buried beneath it. A shaman, a woman who used to live in the temple on the land and obviously knows something about Sin Yu’s curse, tells him that his suffering will end now that he has met the owner of the wooden box. And guess who THAT is…

Dropping because its too predictable from watching just one episode

1st episode and this man already has a girlfriend, whom he did not treat well but he has ONE,
but since jo bo ah is FL so he will end up with her means, it will be cheating in relationship (not Marriage) but still cheating
then 2nd point here is he is also a murder and inhuman unkind
Only thing good about him is his height and looks, height is here unmatched with FL because Jo bo Ah is not that tall and looking how good a relationship will be only based on his good looks, in dramas it work but in reality after few months even Woo Bin and Hyun bin start looking normal to there wife's not some GODLY figures

Jo bo ah is having crash on SML and she might first seduce him then reject him for ML so this drama is not in mood to give you Second lead couple
i give 2/10 to story because there is nothing in it Cursed Box Girl love Cheating breakup and happy ending for Selected people called ML & FL
Raa won acting look artificial and fake, no genuine emotions Showen, being arrogant indifferent type of person is very easy to portray you do not need to much emotion there
this drama may try to follow what's wrong with, business proposal. King the land

overall it needed 1/10 because some fake account start giving 10/10 without even watching

akhirnya ada yang full romance lagi.

udah lama kayaknya aku ga nonton genre kesukaanku dan drama ini menurutku mampu mengobati kerinduanku sama drama romance. aku rasa romance nya ga bikin cringe, selalu menggemaskan adegan mereka tuh. ya walaupun aku akui repetitive, the way ml avoid perasaan nya sm si cewe, hubungan yang kayak putus-nyambung gt dan ada beberapa scene yang berulang terus. juga untuk plot nya aku kurang srek si, kayak berantakan aja, cuma suka sama cerita masa kini mereka dua.

untuk acting nya pada bagus bagus banget, gilasi rowoon pinter banget mainin ekspresi nya apalagi di matanya. kagum banget, ada progress dari drama-drama dia yang lain. uda deh gitu aja, ak ngantuk (bsk ad ujian pancasila)

Un amour maudit qui m’a totalement charmée !

Alors alors… que dire à part que j’ai passé un super moment devant "Destined With You" 😍 Franchement, j’ai été totalement embarquée dans cette romance à base de malédiction, de vie antérieure et de sortilège 🌙✨. Le mélange fantasy/romance était pile dans mes goûts, et j’ai trouvé que ça apportait un petit truc en plus à l’histoire qui aurait pu être classique sans ça.

Et puis bon… soyons honnêtes 😏 Rowoon en mode tourmenté... Perso, je signe direct 😅. Ce rôle lui allait super bien, entre les moments drôles, les moments intenses, et cette tension romantique 🔥... j’ai fondu plus d'une fois !!! 🫠De son côté, Jo Bo Ah a su donner de la force et de la douceur à son personnage, je l’ai trouvée très attachante 💕 Leur alchimie est clairement au rendez-vous… je les ai regardé se tourner autour et j'en redemandé 🫠

J’ai aussi aimé que les personnages secondaires soient bien travaillés, certains m’ont bien fait rire 😂, d’autres m’ont attendrie. Même si certains passages étaient un peu prévisibles ou trainaient un peu en longueur, je vais pas se mentir 😅, l’ensemble est hyper agréable à regarder 👍🏻

Et puis, cette histoire de destin, d’amour à travers le temps, de promesse qui dépasse les vies... ça m’a fais kiffer 🥹😍

Bref, "Destined With You", c’est un drama qui m'a fait vibrer, sourire, soupirer et rêver un peu aussi ✨ Je le recommande sans hésiter !!! Est-ce que je l’ai revu une deuxième fois pour "étudier les détails" ?!? Peut-être… ou seulement juste pour fondre une fois de plus 🥹🔥🤣✌🏻

excellente série

C'est une série qui monte en puissance au fil des épisodes ! Le seul moins bien ce sont les collègues de bureau de l'actrice principale, j'ai zappé la plupart des scènes. Sinon tout le reste est top, Rowoon évidement, Ha joon et Jo Bo Ah également. Les épisodes 14 à 16 sont juste énormes ! A la fois visuellement, mais aussi pour l'intrigue.
Le 14 peut être vu et revu tellement c'est joli et bien fait.
Le triangle amoureux est très bien construit, et les acteurs très crédibles. Le développement de l'alchimie entre les 2 acteurs principaux est bien amené.

Pra min essa serie foi sem pé nem cabeça, muito confusa com esse negocio de maldição, todos os personagens são insuportáveis, a unica que salva é a mãe do Shin yu que mesmo assim perdoou o marido otario dela ainda terminou gravida, esse triangulo amoroso entre os principais e o outro cara la foi horrivel, a menina não se decidia com quem ficar, a protagonista sonsa demais, depois daquelas colegas de trabalho dela humilhar e desfazer dela a sonsa ainda assim no final vira amiga delas

Qualquer cena do casal me dava dor física, as cenas de vida passada não me descia também muito chatas

Eu achei tão horrivel que sinceramente tive mais odio dos personagens principais do que dos vilões, roteiro de merda esse viu, maior decepção, dei tudo pra esse dorama, potencial jogado totalmente no lixo

Alla fine è stato un buon drama e devo ringraziare la situazione in cui ero per averlo portato avanti più di quello che in realtà gli avrei concesso. Se fossi stata con il wifi probabilmente mi sarei spostata su altro.
Il drama non è malvagio e alcuni punti soprattutto vicino alla parte finale (che cosa assurda) mi sono piaciuti davvero molto. Le pecche in questo drama sono davvero tante, in primis i tanti buchi di trama, cose letteralmente lasciate al caso e ad alcune "piccolezze" non si hanno nemmeno delle risposte. Alcune sottotrame un po' ci sono, un po' spariscono, a volte riappaiono.. E' tutto così e la prima parte è decisamente molla rispetto alla seconda. Alla fine la storia d'amore tra i due protagonisti mi è piaciuta, ma avrei voluto che le cose interessanti fossero meglio spalmate lungo tutta la durata nel drama e non all'ultimo. Se solitamente i kdrama annoiano verso la fine, questo fa tutto il contrario compromettendo quella fetta di pubblico che grazie alla noia sceglie di abbandonarne la visione.
A me non è dispiaciuto, ma non è questo gran affare.

Vidas passadas e mais do mesmo.

Jo Bo Ah e Ron Woon arrasaram neste drama. Ela simplesmente arrasa em atuação e não deixa passar nada em detalhes dos personagens que ela apresenta, realmente sou muito fã dela e ele é fantástico e eximiu profissional que não deixa a atuação pesada e representa muito seus personagens.

Esse drama é fantástico me prendeu do início ao fim e a cada episódio me sentia ansiosa e eu acho que a atuação do casal principal faz isso com a gente independente dos cortes, posso dizer que o diretor foi malvado. 
A história é de fantasia e traz ali a revelação de alguns crimes e problemas psicológicos de um Assassino bem esquisito e perturbado. Sou fã de damas que tenham uma pitada de ação e coisas da realidade e apesar também de tratar de vidas passadas trouxe temas atuais, um pouco de misticismo religioso misturado, mas dá para entender mesmo sendo nega e em resumo é ótimo todo o desfecho, hoje, beijos e os momentos do casal e também a história eterna dos coadjuvantes que nós temos de trabalho fofoca e principalmente sobre divórcio e a pressão diária das nossas vidas.
Ficou no formato interessante e com bastante efeitos especiais, apesar de trazer então temática repetitiva tem os seus elementos de surpresa.

Alguns amores não se escolhem, são convocados.

Esse dorama me pegou no enredo e me prendeu na atmosfera.
Uma advogada racional, pragmática, moderna, que se vê envolvida numa trama ancestral de maldições, pactos e sentimentos que não obedecem lógica nenhuma.
E um homem, e que homem, um servidor público com traumas do passado e um magnetismo que parece mais castigo do que escolha.

“Nosso Destino” não é só sobre romance com pitadas de fantasia.É sobre a sensação de ser puxado por uma força invisível, de se sentir fora de controle, emocionalmente, espiritualmente. É sobre o que acontece quando o amor aparece do avesso, quando você se vê atraída por alguém que te assusta, mas que ecoa em você como um sussurro antigo.

A protagonista é forte, mas não no clichê de “mulher durona”. Ela é vulnerável, cheia de camadas, tentando manter a razão num mundo que joga livros amaldiçoados no seu colo. E o protagonista… ah, ele parece um mistério que não quer ser decifrado, e talvez esse seja o maior encanto.

A trilha é mística, os cenários são um casamento perfeito entre o moderno e o ancestral, e os diálogos flertam com filosofia do destino, sem perder o humor ácido e o romance quente.

É o tipo de dorama que, mesmo com seus tropeços de ritmo em alguns episódios, te deixa pensando: E se o amor fosse mesmo uma força inevitável? Eu resistiria… ou me renderia?

🌒 “Entre a escolha e o destino, às vezes o coração escolhe perder o controle.” Me fez lembrar da juventude, quando o coração não perguntava, só arrebatava.
