All These Years

Both couple meet during their teenage years then started to have feeling to each other. But they were separated by fate/circumstances and meet again during their adult years. Also, both fl have their family problems/trauma and ML is there to support them.

Similar theme of a high school boy and girl who find comfort in each other and their difficult family situations.

Both are based on novels written by the same author, and the backdrop is the same academically illustrious high school, Zhenhua. There are several similarities between the two, the MLs and FLs have a lovely contrast in character, not in the same ways, but in both stories are initially presented as completely different people who slowly learn about their similarities to each other. The relationship of the ML/FL in All These Years also showcases how they relied on one another to get by troubling times. They’re both bittersweet but captivating stories. All These Years is a heavier story with a lighter ending.

Both movies are a young couple of different social standings who fall in love but separate for a decade, leaving the ML heartbroken and FL regretful. The two then reunite for a second chance.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

Both movies has very similar plot.
Which is the leads meet each other end up liking each other but one has to leave and over the years they reunite.
