Spicy in all the right ways

I started this show not really knowing what to expect and that first scene was a huge surprise! Especially for a show from S. Korea. And as I watched the more I enjoyed this. It was tastefully done, oh man did the cinematography crew blow it out of the water, and had a well written and executed story. This is one of those shows you start on a whim and quickly realize it was something you did not know you needed.

Definitely marketed more toward the female viewer this show follows two female lead best friends in their early thirties as they navigate sex, love, and relationships. One friend is anti-relationships and only wants sex partners while the other has been in a five year relationship but is wondering if it is giving her everything she needs. These woman feel real and their predicament will hit home for many other woman. The podcast that the show centers around where the woman work also brings in many very real feelings and stigmas surrounding sexual pleasure for women.

The show did a fantastic job of keeping you engrossed while also not making you feel like you are watching a XXX movie. If I had to complain about anything it is that the cast is too perfect, the men are all dreamy and everyone has the perfect body. But really is the eye candy that big of a complaint? It also in a way superficially explores relationship building here since the primary focus is finding pleasure for the women. This is not a long show so it was an easy watch.

All women over 18 need to watch this

Before I begin I want to make one thing clear: Anyone saying ‘if the roles were reversed’ and judging the drama and script on that, are absolutely assuming that men and women are perceived equally when it comes to sex and that women experience sexual pleasure and romantic intimacy in EXACTLY the same way as men do. We do not have that pleasure unfortunately and as a woman in my late 20s I stand by this and my experience. This review is based on this lens.

Amazing drama, especially for women. Even those with sexual experience will learn something from this. Most important of all is self worth and understanding sexual desire is normal. This drama has reminded me that the uneven playing field doesn’t matter and I don’t need to settle, I (and everyone) deserve to feel everything to the fullest. Intimacy, pleasure and happiness. It’s amazing to see this represented so beautifully on screen. I hope many women watch this and understand the lessons it’s teaching us.

Short, fun and SEXY - A different kind of K-drama (that I welcome)

A Korean drama about finding the mysterious G-spot, sexual satisfaction, masturbation, sexual partners/friends with benefits is hard to come by. Many enjoy K-dramas because they are ‘clean’ compared to Western television. However, what if such a drama is needed for the local Korean audience? It’s not like Korean movies are chaste anyway. So, if the above-mentioned topics make you feel uncomfortable, please do not watch this drama. This is definitely not for you. Please check the tags.

But if you enjoy these more ‘mature’ topics being shown and talked about openly without judgment via stories of our two female leads and their podcast, then this is a fun drama. But this drama is so much more than just sex. It’s about knowing who you are, what you want and how to get that. It’s also a story about healing, hidden in between all the sex talk.

And yes, there’s plenty of sexual content especially when you first hit the “play” button in Episode 1. So be careful where and who you are watching this with. Some scenes are shot more beautifully than others. I don't think the sex scenes are excessive (but you might), but there’s enough to make you wonder if you are watching a K-drama. However, I most appreciate the frank and open communication about these sexual topics. Most of the characters are non-judgmental, and they bring up interesting facts and opinions.

I like the development of the main romance between Son Hee Jae (FL) and writer In Chan (ML). Within 8 short episodes, I can see how they start from strangers to being more than that. Actress Ahn Hee Yeon played an adorable lead and I don’t find her annoying at all. Actor Park Sun Ho, though handsome and I love his smiles, could seem a little emotionless at times.

The romance between Lee Mi Na (FL) and Doctor Woo Jae (ML) is a little too fast and furious for me. They are a very good-looking pair and they do have great chemistry. I would have loved to see more of their interaction before everything wraps up in episode 7.

The sismance is great. I love their open and uncensored conversations, and their little trip to a specialty store. It’s not often that we have long scenes at these specialty stores in any Asian drama.

This is a fun short watch for me. It’s not a perfect drama, but it’s perfect for me at this moment. It hits just the right spot. 🙂 If you like this, you might also like the Japanese teen drama “17.3 About a Sex”, which is a lot cleaner and very PG-13.

Kdrama about real relationships, sex and intimacy but from the women's perspective

This is a super short but intense drama.

It's obviously extremely polemic because of the high explicit sexual content in it. Im from Spain and I come from a culture, where is completely natural to be open about sex and skinship and there's no taboo or judgement for it, so I'm used to this kind of content but it's shocking being a fan of kdrama and knowing how different it is over there to see such series.

I have to say everything related to sex it's written and done with such good taste, it's beautifully produced and never tacky or obscene. It's also a very refreshing take because it's written from the women's point of view and they will talk without taboos about many many problems women face trying to face their own sexuality in a close minded society like in South Korea.

I loved how whoever watches this show will learn a lot about how sex is supposed to be and feel and whether it's with a partner or by yourself. Every woman has the right of deciding whats best for them.

There's 4 leads in this drama, the two women as leads and the males as their counterparts.

The two friends have and absolute amazing chemistry and it's so much fun being such opposite characters getting along so well and being family to each other. Just loyalty, support and love, such a wonderful friendship without judgement whatsoever.

Each of them has a storyline with a different male and here's where I think the drama was too short. The main story was Hani's and was carefully developed and you could see the couple's evolution very clearly, it felt real. Their chemistry was no joke as well.

The second storyline was the one with Lee Mi Na and even though I absolutely loved her character and her performance, the relationship with the 2nd male lead was rushed, underdeveloped and very predictable. I wished they would have dedicated the same time for her storyline ( which included a past trauma) and it was extremely interesting, but felt to me like wasted potential.

Overall its such a great watch, very enjoyable and love the sex theme! The actors are incredibly attractive as well which always helps!

I hope this is the first of many kdramas with such open production!

Saucy Content 18+ and Unorthodox Love Views

Totally unexpected for a short drama (just 8 episodes of 30mins+ each) to include so many 18+ scenes but it’s done accordingly to the flow of the storyline…sorta combination of I Need Romance + Nevertheless kinda scenes.

The storyline revolving 2 completely different besties with different love & sex views as it interestingly unfolds…Like how the directing for a change is about female viewpoint of how sex is for them which is rare as generally most production works are all about what men thinks.

This drama shows how Korean production house is really moving ahead among most Asian countries with their western-worlds-style of explicit scenes in love making and open minded discussion of sex in an educational way. At one point, I thought i’ve clicked into American’s Sex & The City…pls be forewarned to ensure no one is peeping into your device screen and avoid open audio aloud as there’s quite some handful steamy scenes with heavy breathing implying what you might not want others to misunderstand it’s a porn…it’s NOT a porn really (okay selectively maybe a soft one…lol..but there’s proper meaningful story to it!)

Some may not like how love making is muddled together with pure FWB sex making but it just shows how this can cause people to be too involved until the extent of finding love when least expected to (okay…we aren’t encouraging anyone to jump into bed just to see if both is a good match in this area! But to a certain extent don’t you think if cannot find the urge to do *it with the other person, how’s the ‘love’ going to be? Ofc, this storyline isn’t focusing on the concept of being happy in sexless love yea…lol) So if this is the question in anyone’s mind, then this drama is a good watch! ^^ At some point I thot the sex toys thingy can be educational for society as well…I mean this isn’t in any school syllabus but it’s necessary for human needs to know right…

Acting isn’t all superb but it’s good enough to carry the storyline and shoutout to Bae Woo Hee as to me her acting is convincingly of the character and yet isn’t giving a feeling of slutty which isn’t easy bcos any slightest wrong micro expression can misled audience to dislike her character entirely. But ofc, the good background setting abt her ex-bf being a total jerk helps to craft her character into someone we can vouch for in hope for her to somehow get true love. Both guys main lead isn’t 100% eye candy, hence at some point their acting does takes the lead…and appreciate how the script isn’t throwing in standard bias of how people who sleeps around are only carefree and freeloaders hence one of the main male lead is a doctor and the other is a prominent author which is more realistic how society changes is happening nowadays.

Music wasn’t something that catches me in here…but it does play at the right time to keep up with the mood of the storyline. Won’t invest much thots on that though.

In a nutshell, this is a feel good and fun watch…

Educational to a degree

Before you begin watching this series, you must know that it is rated 18+ for a reason. The first episode bares all quite literally. However, the rest of the episodes are somewhat milder with some explicit scenes in between.

The two main female leads host a podcast that deals with talking about sex from the female perspective. It also includes discussion on periods and premenstrual syndrome. Some of the information discussed in the show is good but I didn't find it exceptionally new. There was potential but it missed covering aspects like those who have never had sex to begin with. Most of it is related to those who have been having sex for a long time and issues they have faced. The series also tries to deal with healthy attitudes towards the discussion of sex with partners. Again it seemed to miss the opportunity to teach men explicitly to listen to their female partners which a lot of men don't seem to grasp very well or don't think they need to. They do cover healthy partnerships but they could have driven the point across further.

It's a good show to watch for conservative audiences that don't have much access to information related to sex. But it cannot be considered an all inclusive show about sex education. It's better to pick sex ed websites/videos and not entirely depend on such a show. It just discusses a range of topics that one can then further research into.

Although the plot is good, the characters are good, there were at least two scenarios presented without any real advice given. A lot of the advice seekers were left on read. I'm not sure why. In any case, it's not a boring show. Pacing is good. Good for a one time watch. I watched it hoping to learn some new information and have rated it accordingly.

Sex is the only content here

Many of the reviews claimed it as mature content, well if you ask for my opinion I will say it depends. Depends on how you define that maturity. If sex is the only parameter then yes it's a mature one. But if you level up maturity as a mental one then it is actually not really mature content. Anyone who just passed their teenage, having a sexual relationship is good enough to understand the content of this show. As the name said, the drama starts with some explicit sexual content, which was sure to shock the viewers I believe. But the rest of the drama is not the same. To be honest I did not really like the first 2 episodes that much but I kept watching on a fast-forward mode also the runtime to not long so it was bearable. After 3rd episode, I found things quite interesting.

Reading previous reviews and comments I became curious as though the rating is pretty good still some of the reviews suggested it might be a waste of time. Well after completing the show I can’t say so actually. It was good for time to pass. There was a story, won’t say a strong one but yes, the story does exist. But for such mature content, character development is very important I believe. But this drama has little to no character development for any of the leads except Mi Na. In her case at least they tried.

The story revolves around two girls, Hee Jae and Mi Na. One is dating another does not want to have a relationship. And both ended up in a reverse scenario. Both their stories are a classic friends-with-benefits relationship that ends up with being an actual couple. While the character development of Mi Na was good enough considering the short runtime, it was trash in the case of Hee Jae.

Let’s start with her breakup. At first, they portrayed Hee Jae as a conservative one, who can not even discuss with her BF her dissatisfaction in sex, faking it for 5 long years! But still holding it because she had strong feelings for her BF. But now she was determined to break up and the reason and the backstory between them were ambiguous. They portrayed Hyeon Woo as a male chauvinist but they put little to no effort to show how slowly the feeling of Hee Jae for Hyeon Woo faded away due to his negligence and carelessness. Even some small flashbacks would be enough but no. Rather, to get along with the Title they emphasize sexual dissatisfaction which seemed very out of logic and confusing at the same time. How the character of Hee Jae started and then how overnight she became someone who is begging to have sex with Chan made things seriously ridiculous and made the character Hee Jae a very very sallow one.

The story between Chan and Hee Jae is basically a story of two people who are out of love, one (FL) wanted to have sex without love and another (ML) wanted to fall in love again. I understand the theme of the show is Female sexual satisfaction but that doesn’t necessarily need to make the FL an easy one, she was portrayed like she will have sex with anyone, by anyone I meant anyone! She was ready to have sex with the guy from a blind date who in the end refused her due to his mother. What the F**K. then she literally stalked Chan everywhere to have sex! This was annoying to me. I understand she never ever had the feeling to have orgasm so desperately seeking for it. So maybe it was me only, but I didn’t like this concept at all. Even when Chan wanted to get close to her, and get to know each other all she was thinking about was Sex, all the time they spent together reading books, campfire, and drinking she just kept asking when they were gonna have sex. It looked like a maniac to me. If I were Chan, I would feel disgusted for sure. Though at the end of episode 6, she did admit it was the mood that aroused her but I didn’t like the sequences before that.

On the other hand, the story of Mi Na was good and enjoyable compared to the other one. Even though it was short, they showed why she is like this, only considers a good sex partner and fears falling. Though a part of hers desperately seeks someone's care. The story between Mi Na and Woo Jae was also good to watch, though a cliche one, you know what is going to happen still you will find it interesting. Even their kissing scenes were enjoyable. The first one is full of lust and 2nd one is full-on emotion. Liked it actually.

The show conveys that satisfactory sex involves more than just physicality. Touch, communication, and emotional connection are highlighted as crucial elements. While the delivery of this message falls short, it remains an enjoyable aspect of the show. The show offers a nuanced perspective on sexual satisfaction. Despite flaws, it provides an engaging viewing experience.

How Two Good Friends Differ in Their Approach to Achieving Orgasm

Hit the Spot is a fantastic series about female sexuality.
It is blunt, intelligently written, perfectly acted, and quite sexually explicit.

For those who find it uncomfortable to watch open sex, I would not recommend it but for those who are not, there are a lot of important lessons to be learned, for both sexes.

The story is about two close female friends, Hee Jae and Mi Na, and how they approach their quest for sexual satisfaction.

Hee Jae has been in a 5-year relationship with someone who she feels satisfies only himself sexually.
She has not experienced orgasm.

At the recommendation of her friend Mi Na, Hee Jae tries a variety of sexual toys to sexually satisfy herself. The toys work but she wants to experience orgasm with a man.

She goes on a hot pursuit to find a man, Kang In Chan.

Mi Na, on the other hand, makes it clear to her sexual partners that she is not interested in a relationship but only for sexual satisfaction.

Hee Jae repeatedly pressures co-worker In Chan to have sex – “When?” “Where?” “How soon?” “How often” she asks him.

Unlike her friend Mi Na, she never makes it crystal clear why she is pursuing him. She finally gets her reward and baths in her newly found orgasms with In Chan.

In Chan tells Mi Na that he loves her – with that, she drops him like a hot potato.

In my opinion, there is no question that Hee Jae has used In Chan repeatedly for her satisfaction –

He has now become her TOY BOY.

Mi Na, on the other hand, finds the right person Cha Woo Jae, and expresses her love for him, finding both sexual satisfaction and a good loving partnership.

Mi Na expresses her desires above board while Hee Jae hides her reason and takes advantage of In Chan.

Note: there are no interrupting phone calls or people bursting in the door! Enjoy every minute of this wonderful series!

A hot romance!!!

Glad I discovered this a few days before the first episodes were released on Viki. A series out of the ordinary, not the typical romance and love that you often see. With it, a lot is about romance on a completely different level.
A series that talks openly about sexual counseling. Can say it's more some kind of foreplay. This goes more in depth and is more intimate. Which makes it stand out even more visually. For me it has been very educational. If you like Love and leashes, this one is a step further with no BSDM content. There will be some talk about sex toys and such as well. Just like Love and leashes and partly the love relationship in The law cafe, it is also about consent.
To talk about the roles and characters. So we start from the relationships of two girls. One has a long-term relationship that has its ups and downs. The other girl seeks more to be satisfied in her own way with everyone she meets. Their boss is very open about letting them do the podcast their way with a free hand at the book publisher they work for.
Would like to say that it is very mature and unexpected. It takes relationships to a different level than what you usually see. Funny and very touching at times. Is about both parties in the relationship being satisfied. It usually speaks from a woman's perspective in the relationship.
Love the romance between both couples. It's not just the naked that you get to see, but that it should be cute and relatable. Both struggle with their self-image and self-esteem, eventually realizing that there is more to it than just pleasures.
Incredibly different and very good. However, I think that it is a series that is not suitable for everyone. For anyone curious, I would recommend this one. Among 2022's card series, this is one of my favorites. Very interesting!!!!

Spicy

Wow. If you are looking for an adult/matured drama with intense spicy and sexy time then this drama is definitely for you.
None of that I’m almost 30yr old characters who look scandalized/terrified with hand grazes/touches and accidental body contact and also the I have never touched the hands of the opposite sex much less kissed any before but I am also 30yrs old unrealistic BS.
It was short and could have done with a longer run time and few more episodes but I will take what we got.
It highlighted real struggles that a lot of women even men go through and I was very happy about the FLs decision. I supported her 100%.
Just because a guy is “good” and likes a girl doesn’t automatically mean she must reciprocate those feelings whether she wants to or not or even ready for it. Bashing her and calling her names was just crazy and so misogynistic.
