Revelations

Bu Tian Na learns that her parents are suppressing her work efforts so she will come back to be a placeholder in family company til her brother is ready to take over. Ye Xin Zhi is trying to accept that the girl he likes is already taken. I like that the girls still are friends and still competitive. Bu TianNa works til she collapses which results in girls commiserating wine and snack fest mulling over their feelings about guys and family. Bu TianNa’s project was turned down because her father paid off Celestial to do it. He wants her to fail and come home sooner. Ye Xin Zhi keeps sending mixed signals and Xu Chi has had enough of his games but still really likes him. The biggest and most disappointing revelation is that her wannabe boyfriend completely took over their meeting with the new client, did a crappy authoritative demand for them to completely change their software, and teamed up with Ma Ke to completely sideline her from her own project. 😝🙄He pretty much told her to sit and look pretty while he did the talking. 😡🤬 He dismissed her as a colleague and person and then has the temerity to wonder why his presentation fell flat and was strongly rejected. He is so brainwashed to the Ma Ke way of doing things that he firmly believes the client is wrong and just needs pressured to see the light. And now the client is adamantly against Xu Chi because she was the one that persuaded him to get onboard. Her senior didn’t even get her opinion on how to proceed on her own project but basically told her to step aside while the real masterminds handled the details. She needs to kick this guy to the curb and get away from Ma Ke’s team entirely. She actually needs to get away from this miserable company. 😝I was kinda gobsmacked that this arrogant jerk was the same guy trying to tell her how much he liked her and could they date? 😝🙄 The one cute thing was a drunk Xu Chi telling a drunk Bu TianNa that she sympathized with Zhao Heng’s unrequited feelings for Bu TianNa. When asked how she knew the feelings were real Xu Chi’s surprising response was that she and Zhao Heng at core are quite similar. She then passes out to end conversation. Bu TianNa gives Zhao Heng an opening by giving him her apartment number and saying she wants ice cream. He comes over in a ridiculous costume and the fireworks begin. They have a sweet moment and then the girls meet at the office to compare notes and let the other know game on for project. They are fun to watch. I am so disappointed in her crappy senior colleague who I gave too much credit to. He truly has no respect for Xu Chi or the work she put in, and knowing what an asshat Ma Ke is, chooses to team up with him to run XuChi out of her own project. I really hate this episode left such a bitter taste when it’s the only one for today.😝 one thing a bit more pleasant was Ye Xin Zhi sending the apartment pic to XuChi. But again, he is the king of mixed signals.😝 Finally learned his fidget box is a container of physical pieces of periodic table. Didn’t expect that really. It’s his one link to his dad. I am actually more disgusted this episode than the Ma Ke theft presentation. She needs to shed this company ASAP. I am still trying to figure out how people like Sha Sha and Mr Pi have too many Ma Ke’s in their employ. Her senior learned nothing from Xu Chi’s victory. She showed them directly to their faces there was a better way to approach this company and they tossed her and her efforts aside to manipulate the company to do something they did not want to and strongly objected to from the get go. I would really like her to submit her resignation, go work for Ye Xin Zhi full time and tell her senior wannabe bf to kiss off. 😝The cast is doing an excellent job because I really want to know what happens next in spite of being truly disgusted with the company and Bu’s parents. What I didn’t expect was for Ma Ke to again flip things to make a win taste so bitter or for Bu TianNa’s parents to be so calculating in planning her life ‘for her own good’ by having her pave the way for little brother. Both girls deserve so much better.
