Mentor blues

So while mentor believes Xu Chi is stranded she goes right to Sha Sha’s office with her revised plan and accuses Xu Chi of trying to bribe the would be clients. Little did she know that Xu Chi had already forwarded the plan and the boss was well aware of what really happened. She suggests the mentor start her maternity leave immediately. On her way out, she slams her work on Xu Chi’s desk and then gets into a fender bender with the hope to be clients. She is taken to the hospital and then home by the CEO of the company they want to work with. She is insulted when he recommends Ms Xu for the project and that she was a far better negotiator for the project than she was. He recommended that she get more rest. Her husband’s complete lack of interest in her and the baby shows why she throws so much in at work, but she still doesn’t have to be bitchy about it. She goes back to work and begs to be allowed back. Sha Sha warmly reminded her how little percentage of women are in the industry and that when she came back she would have her place and responsibilities as they are now. She is going to put Xu Chi in charge of the project they had just initiated and she would go back to the other one. What is a very sad irony is that after she was encouraged and supported by her boss, she could not extend the same courtesy to her trainee.😝🙄 She did what she said she would and put Xu Chi in charge of the project, but she was cold and begrudging of it. This was some seriously missed opportunity for the future but that is her paranoid loss.😝🙄 Once again Xu Chi runs into Ye Xin Zhi at a bar and both are celebrating winning new clients. His response to how to achieve the level he has.🤣😂👏🏻He gives her advice about dining with clients and how to create the right atmosphere. Surprisingly coffee shops got the highest billing. No drinking, minimal choices, good place to talk business and go home when finished. No fuss no muss. Her face when he told her most didn’t have to be taught this.🤣😂😁Fate keeps bringing these two together and it has always been timely for her next mentor lesson for success. For now they are at competing firms so contact has to be minimal, but he was open, friendly and encouraging giving her some much needed mentor support that jealousy prevents from happening at the company she is with. I really wish her mentor would truly be supportive of a hardworking intern, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The other interns tracking that Xu Chi has been the first one in the office for 27 consecutive days…it is probably a pool to see how long she can keep it up. 🤣😂 Sha Sha is noticing quietly from the background.
