Ye the Legend

There is a team building exercise and Bu Tia Na reminds Xu Chi how important it is. There is some history here that Xu Chi is not remembering, but she was kind to Bu Tia Na at a vulnerable time and she remembers and in her own way is being kind to Xu Chi. She will be boss and make Xu Chi her right hand. 🤣😂 I like this unlikely budding friendship in a place that thrives on competition. I am annoyed with Lin’s behavior mentoring Xu Chi. She is undermining her and wants the Bolo Culture account to fail. She would rather see Xu Chi do badly and lose the account than help for the company as a whole to look good. Once again Ye Xin Zhi shows up on cue to give Xu Chi practical advice on business luggage for trips. He also gives her his number and teases her about his moniker as ‘the legend’ on her phone. Here she shows her true admiration for him and goal to be like him in the workplace. Something her ‘real’ mentor should be doing. 😝🙄😡She’s too busy ignoring her and buying video cards for her game addict husband. Her friend is sabotaging from the office giving her low points in the team buildup and telling her directly that since she took the project from her mentor, she could handle it solo. That is a lot of effort to invest in sabotaging one little intern.😝😡 Out of desperation she finally contacted Ye Xin Zhi and he was rather pleased with the contact. But as he was reading she recalled it because she replayed his advice to her and figured it was not right for her legend to give her walkthroughs every time she was in trouble. She took the initiative to consider the problem issues within the company and devised a workable plan to integrate old and new teams. She also assured him that the company would provide an outstanding team for him to carry this out and she was just the liaison for him to decide if they would work together. I can’t wait til her success rings through the office and mentor and sidekick recognize their failure at diminishing her.😝 Her legend was disappointed that she recalled her message but I am sure they will run into each other again when the time is right. Xu Chi’s circle is so small, but the few she has are the right people. She wants to excel, but unlike her jealous mentor, she does not want to gain by somebody else’s loss. I think her fellow interns and the head boss are the only ones that see that. This drama is doing an excellent job of having the leads interact naturally and nothing feels forced or contrived. The supporting cast is likable and except for her mentor and sidekick, they all play well together in the office as a team. It still is sad that when the boss is such a good mentor that her upper staff is catty and resentful with each other which is influencing to a great degree their mismanagement of the new young crop of women trying to break through in that job field. Enjoying the drama and recommend watching.😁
