Mentor and Angel

There is a new understanding with Ms Lin and Xu Chi shows this with her gift of lipstick. This is an understanding between them that is good to see. When the jerk husband arrives Xu Chi gets him recorded hitting Lin Long and this will hopefully make him back off and do the right thing, it’s not like he gained anything from their relationship except her income. 😝 Here Xu Chi gives Lin some advice about digital funds to help lower husband’s share and maintain more of her hard earned wages after the divorce is settled. She is all about wanting to train in this field and has requested to go to Ma Ke’s team. Ms Sha has noticed her efforts and has released her from her current project so she can transfer since she has such a small role. What is interesting is that CEO Shen from Bolo Culture keeps checking up on Lin and even gifted her a temple ornament that is supposed to bring health and success through rebirth. Lin notes her business client is kinder than her soon to be ex.😝 She and Xu Chi laugh that they were the founders of the project and neither of them will be working on it. Bu Tian Na shielded her tears at work but then put herself in same project with Xu Chi with no warning. Lu Le is the second to warn her that friends may not really be friends at work. Ye Xin Zhi was the first to warn her. Lu Le is who she is without apology. I like that she does not hold a grudge with Xu Chi and tells her straight up how it is with no sugar coating. Bu Tian Na helped Xu Chi get even for Ye’s date set up by getting pics with male coworkers and the. Showing how silly they looked together. She made a point of showing it to him up close. I do wonder if that work colleague might have an interest in her. 🧐 He keeps showing up to assist. Xu Chi has a good cry at her mom’s apt building and Ye Xin Zhi finds her there. He has spent the day looking for her and gets her in the car. She refuses to talk but when she finally goes to sleep instead of letting her rest, he takes her where he goes to let off steam. He punches the car as fast as it will go and when she feels like her hair is in fire and he has lost his mind he brakes suddenly and lets her have a good long cry in his car. Here he doesn’t comfort her but offers her a safe place. He tells her he has weaknesses too and this is where he goes to remove his heart heaviness. He tells her to get over herself about losing and lacking confidence where Bu Tian Na is concerned. If she beats her they celebrate, if she loses he trains her to be better next time. She needs to accept that loss comes with the territory and that if she can’t judge herself fairly to rely on his judgment since he personally chose her. The hand slapping game was a good way to show how loss just gains ground for next win. I love their candid conversation in the car.🥰 This is where he explains that helping her is like helping his younger self and working through some of his regret because he didn’t have help and support when he experienced it. He explains there are different types of feelings that can be strong but not romantic. He volunteers to be her angel and to be there for her as no one was for him. He encourages her to embrace her new opportunity and to be all in doing her best come he’ll or high water. Lin offered a warning about Ma Ke so I wonder what his deal is. But I am happy she’s got an angel in her corner and hopefully Xu Chi and Bu Tian Na will find a way to work through the work issues and maintain a friendly ground even when competing. Ye Xin Xhi was correct that Bu Tian Na has all the connections, but as far as friends…..I think she only has the two at work….hopefully she will cherish that support system and not use it as a stepping stone. Guess we will be finding out when the new team starts their project. This episode covered a lot of ground with personal dynamics away from the office. Waiting to see how the trio makes it through becoming employees rather than interns.
