Next level training

Zhaou Heng is a very wise intern. He persuaded Xu Chi to get files from Lin Long and make up before she came back to work. Xu Chi is received coldly and waiting at the door for a USB drive when she hears the couple fighting inside. Her husband is a complete pos that would not help her pick up the dropped USB drive. Lin is fed up with the gaming and shuts off the circuit breakers to get some assist picking it up. Her husband d pushes her down and this causes Lin’s water to break. Xu Chi ends up being her support at the hospital. The absentee husband shows up after his gaming to find out they lost the baby. While he’s apologizing Li is recording the conversation to have as evidence for a divorce decree. This was a good move for her in spite of all the tragedy. She didn’t need it compounded with his complete lack of support and empathy. 😝 Xu Chi goes to Macao and has her field test of assistant 101. She actually shined and was very adept at gathering intel and lining up the possible business contacts. She also knows Cantonese and picked up on something that might be a new business trend to keep an eye on. There was a sweet moment of box step on the terrace. CEO Shen calls Xu Chi on it as he’s in town with the new Bolo Culture team. When he asks about Lin he finds out about the baby. He also sends Xu Chi a pic of her and ‘bf’ on the terrace. She keeps trying to convince him she’s with a senior and he just gives her a knowing grin. When Ye XinZhi is gathering intel he catches a glimpse of the photo and opts to nip it in the bud by making it appear he’s on a date and having XuChi collect some classified files. She returns the favor when she’s completing her run the next morning and referring to him as senior. He thinks he over thought and she is saving face. He never accounted for her pride not wanting to appear the girl having a crush on her boss. He is brilliant with work matters and it was probably best to discourage her from any feelings, but that was really a crushing way to handle it. 😝🙄 He could have verbally cautioned her on the risks and been kinder about it. Xu Chi shows up at the office early and is already bored and wanting something to do. Bestie Bu Tia Na understands and teases her about boyfriends. Xu Chi defends her lack of guys with her phone but the tables are turned when Bu Tian Na checks the just deleted photo. There she catches the dance pic of Ye Xin Zhi aka poser and when she asks about it Xu Chi breaks down into tears. This was unexpected for both of them as the episode ends. I am glad Xu Chi has supportive friends and hope there is a new found truce with Lin when she returns to work. I have mixed feelings about her and real mentor. He is right to keep it more a work relationship but I think he could have found a kinder and gentler way to do that than making Xu Chi doubt herself and be hurt. 😝
