OK drama but exhausting to watch at times
Caught this drama on iQIYI recently and actually watched most of the 40 episodes, although I did start fast forwarding through episodes when I reached episode 30 or so. Just felt that this drama started to drag on too much and it probably could have been cut down to 35-36 episodesThe sets and CGI on this drama were good, and you could tell they spent some money on the production. The story was good although it was a bit predictable insofar as how it was going to end. Liked the actors, didn't really feel anyone annoyed me but also didn't feel that anyone was great in this either.
Felt like this drama started to drag as it was nearing the final stretch of episodes. The fight scenes got tiresome to watch after a while. Once you knew a big battle was going to start, it was a good time to just fast forward to the end of the fight to save time. After you watch a few CGI fight scenes they start to become repetitive. Some of these C-dramas like to fill up screen time with song interludes and flashback scenes and this one was no different. The song interludes, sometimes 3 or 4 in a single episode, were also good opportunities to fast forward to save time.
Overall drama was average, not terrible but not great either. Have no interest in watching any part of this drama again so rewatch value is a well-deserved 1.0.

Worst show of 2024 yet
The acting is absolutely horrible! I dont review much but I had to save others from watching this. The effects are even poorly done. The storyline is lazy and uninventive. I had hopes for this due to the main actors, but i guess good actors cannot fix a bad storyline. Im literally laughing at how fake the blood is.Was this review helpful to you?

Led by a talented cast but the visuals are bad. The story is kind of okay.
Ep 1 to Ep 10: I saw so many familiar faces in episode 1 alone. The drama has such a good cast, which includes supporting and guest actors. I have to say Ren Jia Lun has such a heart warming smile. The way he smiled as A Gou when the FL was petting him like a puppy. It had the Labrador energy. I have seen Xing Fei in many dramas but can't say that she has impressed me as an actor. For me her most memorable role was Forget You Remember Love, that's saying a lot because her character was messed up, that entire drama was messed up. So back to this one, I am invested in the story because of Ren Jia Lun, loved him in One and Only. So far, he is following the script, the characters seems okay to me, especially since he is not yet an adult. They are growing up. I loved Peter Ho's character King Xin, he did a great job but was failed by the subpar visuals. The visuals are the worst part about this drama, it seems like the drama was put together a long time ago and only released recently.Was this review helpful to you?

Je n'aurais jamais cru qu'une adaptation d'une série animée pouvait m'intéresser autant.L'histoire est enlevante avec de multiples péripéties, des détours inattendus, de nombreux personnages mais qui ne rendent pas l'histoire confuse.
Ren Jialun est magnifique dans son jeu d'acteur ainsi que les costumes qui lui font à merveille (sauf le bandeau sur le front). Les autres acteurs (Xing Fei entre autres) tirent aussi très bien leurs épingles du jeu.
Les costumes sont tellement beaux, les effets visuels qui se sont améliorés au fil des épisodes pour culminer à son plus haut dans l'épisode 40. La fin est très touchante.
Bref, une série qui a peu de longueur et qui est intéressante du début à la fin.
Les chansons de l'intro et de la fin sont vraiment belles. Ren Jialun est toujours à la hauteur avec sa très belle voix.

Ren Jia Lun sanırım kiss sahnesi çekmiyor, koca 40 bölümde romantizmi hissetmekle kaldık. Bu sahneleri arttırsalardı daha keyifli bir dizi olabilirdi. Ama ilginç bir şekilde de dizi kendini izlettiriyor. Ben şahsen oyuna benzettim bu diziyi. Önce rakibi tanıdık, başrol kahramanımız dost kazanırken çetesini oluşturdu, güçlendirdi ve nihayetinde küçükten büyüğe tek tek rakiplerini yenerek bizi finale kadar ekran başında tuttu.
