I’ve always said that a new BL theme is exciting, but this one truly set a new record. I honestly never expected to cry at the end, especially since someone had already spoiled the ending of the series/book.You can find more of my reviews on Instagram. :D See my homepage about my Instagram account. Some of my reviews are under five hundred words so I can't post them here. (*^▽^)/★*☆♪(*^-゜)vThanks!

The shifts between realities added mystery, but they also felt more like a “trick” than solid storytelling. The suspense leaned more on aesthetics than true psychological tension, and there wasn’t enough inner development to really carry the emotional weight. On top of that, the storylines of the other two couples : Nin and Alex, and Ophat and Pete, came across as pretty shallow and didn’t match the emotional intensity the series seemed to be aiming for.
Still, the final episode had me in tears because Alan and Win’s love story was just beautiful. An eternal love that overcame everything. And I have to give credit to the actors Tou Sedthawut and Top Sahatchai for bringing Alan to life so powerfully.

GIVE ATTENTION TO EVERY SINGLE DETAIL EVEN IF ITS JUST A GREETING FROM A PERSON - ITS WORTH IT!!
This is my review on MyDramalist, and there's a reason for this. Mystique in the mirror is gonna be on my Top 2 of this year 2025 BLs after the Unknown series. Both series have THE MOST EMOTIONAL VALUE!!The story was Top-notch. The thing is to give very careful attention to each and every detail. You will be amazed at the end. The storytelling was amazing. The actors did really well with their characters.
This made me cry, but not on a negative note. This story portrays true love. A love that makes you cry happiness tears. I'm so happy that I chose to watch this series.
PLEASE, EVERYONE, GIVE IT A CHANCE. I'm sure most of you will be kinda confused, but it's worth it at the end of the series.
STORY - Top-notch
ACTORS - Gave life to the characters
MUSIC - Pulls you into the story
REWATCH VALUE - The only reason is that it's gonna live in your mind forever, so you don't need to watch it again.

Wow! Major plot twist and has your mind spinning
I rarely write reviews. This series is one of the best Thai BL. I binged it. It's BL but it doesn't show much. More story driven. The ending was insane. I was like omg what. I was BAWLING, had tears streaming down my face lol. It was a GREAT ending though, not a sad one. It was just the plot twist that got me. You'll have to watch to understand. Alan thought that Nate was imaginary cause the others was like who is that. But at the end, he shows up and says finally, been waiting. So I'm assuming Alan, Nate, and Win were childhood friends?I'm very picky with my BLs now. Hard to please since they are making sooo many now lol. So I really pay attention.
I definitely recommend this one.

Well made gripping show
I didn’t go in expecting much, but the plot and the acting genuinely add a lot to the experience. I found myself looking forward to each new episode every week. As a psychological thriller, it does a great job of pulling you in—the performances by the two lead characters are especially impressive and carry much of the tension. The storyline constantly kept me on my toes, making me guess and second-guess what was really happening. The mood lighting and overall atmosphere were beautifully done and added depth to the psychological elements of the show. While it can be confusing at times, that only adds to the intrigue rather than taking away from it.
Overall, it’s a very enjoyable watch and a refreshing break from the usual generic bl's If you’re willing to stay patient and go along for the ride, it’s definitely worth it.

A beautiful story
This is a really beautiful and well-done series. Yes, you’ll be confused 80% of the time, but that’s the point, and it’ll mostly make sense in the end. I saw a few reviews that said most of it wasn’t necessary, and the story could’ve been told in fewer episodes. I kinda agree, but I also think that the journey is the best part of the series. This is definitely the kinda show where you rewatch it and start noticing all the details that you hadn’t before. Was this review helpful to you?

10/10 Through the Mirror's Shadow: My Obsession with Mystique in the Mirror
10/10 Through the Mirror's Shadow: My Obsession with Mystique in the MirrorOkay, I seriously can't stop thinking about this series.
"Mystique in the Mirror" is EVERYTHING - mysterious, emotional, creepy in the best way, and so beautifully written.
Oh my god, how much I love this show! I'd even say I'm in absolute awe. I adore stories like this - the kind that make your brain work nonstop, where you have to think, analyze, connect clues, and still end up with more questions than answers. It's like a massive, impossible puzzle, but it's so addictive that you want to keep putting the pieces together.
This series is never boring. Not for a single second. I'm glued to the screen the whole time, totally absorbed.
Sometimes my brain feels like it's exploding because I have no idea what's happening - but I love that feeling! The mystery, the confusion, the urge to understand - it's all part of the fun.
And the actors? PERFECTION. Every performance feels so real and layered. The BL storyline develops slowly and beautifully - the chemistry between the main leads is insane.
Like, seriously, the tension could set the screen on fire i And the secondary couple? I love them so much - it's so heartwarming to see them back together atter so many years.
l've already watched three episodes, and honestly... I still have no clue what's really going on a Is Alan actually alive,
or is he a ghost? Or maybe he's alive and everyone else is a ghost?? Or could it be that Alan just sees spirits, and Win is one of them? And Dr. Nin- is he truly trying to help Alan, or is he secretly making things worse? And what is up with the new nurse, Pete? Why does he act so strange? And don't even get me started on Dr. Ophat - those haunting, unnervingly intense looks he gives sometimes literally make me shiver. I swear, I have to look away from the screen!
So many questions. So few answers. But that's exactly why I'm obsessed. can't wait for the next episodes to drop, because I need to know what's really happening!
This show has it all - BL, mystery, horror, psychological drama - and it nails every single genre perfectly. I'm completely, utterly in love with "Mystique in the Mirror"
10/10 - A haunting, beautiful masterpiece.
