Story Review

This story is very good and interesting for everyone to watch. This story is full of interesting moments between two lovers. The storyline is very easy to understand and the acting is also very good both in terms of expression and tone of voice. In terms of the theme song is also very good and pleasant to listen to.

OVER HYPE AND CRINGE !

Oh my god... This is bad. I mean first episode and I already annoyed with Cher's character. He is so fucking annoying. Like miss gurl, can you just chill for a moment? AND Im sorry but I don't like Book at all. Maybe its because of his character or something I dont know. To be honest, I failed to feel nor see Gun x Cher's genuine feeling towards each other. Yes, there is some heart throbbing scenes but we need some honesty in a relationship and Cher rarely cry makes me groan in PAIN EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Like oh god... And what's with the fake happy scenes? Like Cher acting like he is strong and happy go luck in every situation, the mental breakdown scene is just no it for me. I am sorry but I couldn't feel that he is truly sad at what has happened to Tian as well.

There is no A, no B then suddenly it goes to C. Takes an instance when Thup confessed that its his dad that raped Tian then Cher was like all shocked but then that's it. No development as in like dragging her father to jail or something. Nah. Bro basically said "Yeah aight. too bad.". Like ??????????? Gun's character is alright but not the best. He just let Thyme broke up their friendship like it was nothing?? Why dont you try to reconcile and offer to work together instead? What a bad plot and writing. I dont think I have ever been this disappointed before except when I watch 2 MOONS season 2. That's another bullshit I need to face.

Can we also say how misleading the trailer and the poster are? I really thought they will meet in elevator where they will have their funny encounter in elevator more often until they fall in love with each other but NOOOOOOO. Instead, the director and screenwriter gave us this shit? Total disappointment. Lack of emotion, lack of feelings and lack of proper plot development. And they shows that Thyme log into the company's laptop to send the information about the games so he can copy the game but the real question is.. HOW? Like how did he got into the office and get to copy all of the materials? SO MANY QUESTIONS BRO.

I have heard about ForceBook before and everybody making them a big deal but to be honest, in this series, I couldn't see it. The chemistry is so-so and the kiss scenes is alright. Seems a little bit force especially in the car kissing scene. Honestly, I need to give it a time before I try to watch their series again. And the only thing that I like about this series is Jack and side pairing Three and Zo. They are adorable but a shame how they doesnt know how to give them more screentime. The series conflict does not exists too and I feel this series overall is a blergh.

started good, ended not good

my comment is going to sound harsh, i feel like i wasted my time on this sorry not sorry
and im just glad it ended, gmmtv need to work on who to hire for script writers
i'am looking forward to their story in ourskyy2? no , most of ourskyy2 stories have been bad anyway, if you are going there for fanservice good ,just dont expect to see a good plot, and i dont really like wasting my time

going back about this serie, cher look like a red flag when he is in a relationship, is he going to think of breaking up or dissapear everytime there is a problem? while gun is a green flag he is all about communication and fixing any issue going on, sorry but gun is mature while cher is so immature, ghosting someone you love dearly and breaking their heart, then suddenly appearing again he is lucky gun forgave him so easily, and i understand why he didnt look after him when he left, he wanted him to be comfortable and to be happy, how much will you keep running after your partner who keep brushing you off? cher need character development!!

now that i completed the show, not gonna lie the start of the show got me hooked, the first episodes, but the latest eps have been not good it turned me off, the cute moments of them are good but i was not distracted about how bad the plot become, they introduced a heavy and dark story but it was not resolved, they forgot half of the plot or what? what was frustrating is it has been 12 eps there was plenty of time to resolve that issue but they just filled it with scenes that were not necessary, ,they wasted a lot of time showing cher taking a step back ,then step forward then again on repeat but ignored the real issues , they keep creating some unecessary drama that made me dislike the ML's character instead. if you are not going to properly resolve the dark story then better to just not include it, dont leave serious issues unsolved
and suddenly gun's mom is ok with their relationship.. i guess she realised its the last ep so she needed to accept them being together
its amazing how i loved cher's character a lot at the start of the show but ended up disliking his character later, whats good about the first eps is that it make you smile and its stress relief, it made me giggle a lot at that time , i guess thats why i did put up with it until the end, this should have ended in 8 eps not more
if i think of rewatching this show i will only rewatch the first few eps and stop there id save myself from a headache

i enjoyed it

i think if u enjoy corny stories or a romcom kinda vibe, u might like this. so, if u like that kinda thing (which i enjoy) u might like this or at least enjoy it. i just think that it was missing something, like maybe a little more angst, like idk i just think it was just missing that kick element that makes a series re-watchable, not saying that this was bad because again, i enjoyed it, but i just think it was missing something that makes a series a 10/10, u know? ForceBook deserve so much better than what they're given, at least in Perfect10 Liners, so far that's good and i'm liking it so far, but ForceBook to really see their potential as actors, they deserve a different genre than school series or something like this. maybe something similar to Until We Meet Again? idk just something different than a romcom genre.

A fun and mostly lighthearted show with a classic workplace premise

NO-SPOILER REVIEW

Pros
- The inter-office relationship dynamic is done in a cute and fun way
- The story follows a pretty good pace and things don't drag on
- There's decent chemistry between the leads and they're both attractive

Cons
- You don't really feel as deep of a connection between characters in this series compared to some others.
- The acting (or maybe the story/script?) for a lot of the characters is a bit amateur or stilted.

Overall
- A fun watch not to be taken too seriously

A Boss, A Babe...

...and my sanity.

I can't even begin to tell you what I just watched. Because I still don't know. I understand that BLs are mostly meant for mindless watching and serotonin boosts when your fave onscreen couple so much as glance at one another. HOWEVER, this show was just plain bad. I watched it because my gf and I like ForceBook (she LOVES and I can't stress this enough, LOVES Book, and I like Force so we thought, why not give this one a shot). Little did I know that I was about to watch 12 episodes of Book bringing Force coffee. So let's break it down shall we?

Story/Plot:
There is none. Next.
.
.
.
I kid, but in all seriousness there is no real plot. I gave the story rating of 2 stars because we started out strong. They are developing a game and then their idea gets stolen by a former employer but then nothing came of it? They kind of forgot this main plot line like halfway through the series and then never really touched on it again. The former employer got in trouble I guess and they managed to get their idea back but like...then what? So now we are just riding on the back of cute moments between Cher (Book) and Gun (Force)? And then there's the 3 other sub plots that were thrown on the wall like boiled spaghetti hoping one would stick. It felt like these GMMTV writers were in the writers room just throwing ideas out there instead of sticking to one and really fleshing it out completely. For example, the plot of Gun and Time's (Drake) relationship was never fleshed out. Why was there a fallout? Why did Time leave? Was it a difference of opinions? Was it money? Was it ideas? I have so many questions. Then there was the story about the "little brother" Thup (Java) who was honestly a pain in my a**. Bro I understand you are upset but you are channeling that anger into the wrong person my guy. But his little subplot of constantly asking for money (which we never really see why he is asking for it or how he uses it...we assume its for shady business) then getting arrested for drug charges (f**k around and find out I guess) was made into a huge deal, so huge that it almost broke Gun and Cher up...you would think that they (the writers) would elaborate on this scandal...do they? No. They don't. We hear nothing about it for the rest of the series. All you see in the last episode is Thup out of jail assumed clear of all charges (convenient). And the subplot that really grinds my gears....mainly because it deserved so much more time and respect was the tragic story of Cher's friend Thian (Lookjun). I am writing this right now to the writer's of GMMTV...you mean to tell me that you are going to include a storyline about s*xual assault and sui***e of a young girl and just breeze right past that? When Thup told Cher about what actually happened to his sister, Cher showed his concern and asked if an arrest can be made and then IT WAS NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN. The f**k??? Justice for Thian. That was brutal.

Acting/Cast:
The cast did what they could with this weak a** script. However, shining through the cracks like a beacon of light was the chemistry between ForceBook. I appreciated ForceBook's cute moments. If anything that was the highlight in this entire God forsaken series. If there is anything Book knows how to do, it's act cute. In the words of my gf, he is the cutest patootie. And Force plays a brooding CEO well. They were cliche stereotypes but it was cute so acceptable. The supporting cast was also great, my favorite being the pairing of ThiZo (Fluke and Ohm)...they were adorable. Also, shout out to the ladies on their team in the office, especially Oi (Namyard) she was hilarious.

Music:
Meh. In my humble opinion...Book can't carry a tune. He's so off pitch it makes me want to go and put on ear muffs as the opening credits roll. Tell me how that OST was my gf's most listened to song last month. She's blinded by love that one.

So, in conclusion, would I rewatch this? No. haha. Not in the absolute slightest. But I would recommend this series if you enjoy:
-ForceBook
-coffee
-gaming
-ASMR
-being nosy about your coworker's love life
-family drama
-fluff, lots of fluff
-no real plot

If you are a fan of any of the above, or a fan of turning off your brain and just enjoying fluff content, then this one is for you. But if you are looking for something with a bit more plot and grit, do yourself a favor, save yourself a life, and find something else to watch.

Simple Cliche Office Love Story

**Brief Synopsis**
B (Intern): Cher
T (CEO): Gun

- Beginning: T is the CEO of the company B starts working for as an intern. Normally speaking, an intern would never enter the CEO’s eyes but T recognize B as the person behind his favourite podcast to help him sleep. Because he admitted this connection, B starts treating him like a normal friend and less like boss from the beginning. B would console him and would actively hug him and bring him food. B is the only one to give him opinions and contest him when he thinks his opinion is wrong. He would also make an effort to include him in activities.

- Middle: Soon T started falling for him but B is still unsure about his own feelings because he has experienced past emotional trauma. Even after T kisses him, B doesn’t know how to respond but can’t stay away. He is jealous of T’s ex even if he doesn’t want to admit it. Despite T expressing his like for him since the beginning, he’s still feeling insecure despite not understanding what he was feeling. Around mid series, B finally realizes that T was important to him as well and they start acting like real lovers.

- End: Before they could have their happy ending however, B realizes in order to be someone T won’t be ashamed to be seen with, he needs to get his own life together. He knows T will never let him go so after his intern contract ends, he leaves without discussing with T, which drives T crazy. But B is only gone for a few month. After graduation he comes back to T and the show ends with them being back together, ready to face the future.

**My Opinion**

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- The actors’ looks. They are both really good looking and fit really well together.
- I really like the combination of CEO and intern. The CEO is calm and collected while the intern is always cheerful and energetic, full of positive vibes.
- I also really like their exchanges, especially when B would go on and on and T would just look at him with a deadpan look on his face, as if questioning his sanity. Their exchanges also have their really funny moment. For example, their exchanges in episode 1 was hilarious for me.
- I really like how B influences T and how T smiles more with B present. Their personality actually really compliment each other. B can get a little extra but he is rather cute when he does so and makes me smile as well. I can see why someone like T would fall for B. Their relationship doesn’t come out of nowhere and we see the buildup even if their first kiss comes really early in the series (in ep. 2), but at that time, it’s less about love and more about getting one over the other.
- I kind of like B’s innocent especially when he’s trying to figure out his feelings. He’s always so honest about everything, even when he shouldn’t be. He’s still young and idealistic. It is a double edged sword. It makes him stand out in a way but it will also cause him to overthink and spring things out of proportion.
- The actors do have chemistry together. When they are together later on, we can feel how much the characters like each other even when they aren’t being intimate. They are comfortable in each other’s presence and that is what is important. Although it takes sometime for B to come to terms with liking T because of a past emotional trauma so he has difficulty opening himself up again. But he shows jealousy, showing that he cares for the man in a way that’s beyond friends.
- I really like the deadpan things T sometimes says in reply to B’s extra-ness.
- I really like their daily as a couple. They’re really sweet together and T is always saying cheesy stuff which is so cute.
- I kind of liked the ending. B realizes that before he could comfortably be with T for the long term he needs to get his life together. This way he can proudly tell Ts mother that he isn't some kind of loser So he leaves for a while, graduates with honors and come back, more mature and more capable of making life decisions. But the way this plan was handled is extremely stupid and writen in a way just to introduce angst.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- The acting. Sometimes the acting can get a little awkward and cringey but it isn’t enough to make me want to turn off the show so I guess that’s good.
- The plot is very predictable and cliche with no plot twists or memorable moments. The writing is just normal. It’s not deep and don’t try to see if everything makes sense. It’s a turn your brain off sort of show.
- I didn’t like B’s childishness at the beginning. He’s not serious enough in a company environment and should have been fired already unless he made some big contribution to make them overlook his faults. From the beginning, he is obviously having difficulty separating personal with professional. This will hurt him in the future. But this is also T’s fault. They should have kept the intimacy out of the office but they couldn’t resist apparently.
- I didn’t like the fact that each time they communicated by phone, they would show the scene as if they other person was also in the room with them. It’s rather confusing.
- There is a constant pull and give between T and B which can get tiring after a while. B is never clear with his feelings, almost as if he’s stringing T along. I know he isn’t doing it on purpose but it’s still not a nice thing to do.
- I don’t like the use of jealousy to advance the romance plot. It’s too cliche and it causes conflict in the laziest way possible.
- The final angst is caused yet again by miscommunication or lack of communication which is the laziest way to introduce angst. B leaves without telling T because Ts mother told him he wasn't right for T because be has nothing. B realizes it was true and wants to prove himself by graduating with honors. He doesn't tell T he's coming back because he's afraid T won't agree. This doesn't make sense in many ways. First T was his boyfriend and not his guardian. If T has that much control over his life then B should be worried. They are adults, they should have talked it out. Just what kind of control freak B thinks T is. If T doesn't agree, it'll be better just to break it off with him. Leaving without a word and not telling him anything, letting him suffer in silence is just selfish and stupid. Its lazy writing, the laziest way possible to introduce angst before the finale. And another thing, B did not seem to have moved out of his apartment. T knows where he lives. Why doesn't he go in person to talk to him instead of emoing at home. Normal people would make more of an effort to track down their lover unless they simply didn't care. While I support B going back to finish his degree, the way it was handled was stupid. Luckily it only lasted around 20 min or else it would have been worst.

**Conclusion**
It was an okay series that I enjoyed. The interactions were cute but it is not memorable enough to be revisited.

One of my favorites even though it's not a classic

This series is way underrated in my opinion. I'm watching it for the third time now and i think it will not be the last time. The story is rather simple and there are no super dramatic moments that could easily have been avoided if the characters just talked to each other like it's so often the case. The romance is really simple and wholesome. There is also a sort of dark aspect of the story regarding one of the characters past. Don't worry I won't tell what it is. Overall it's just a lot more realistic than many other drama series. It's much more linked to the real world. They show that homophobia doesn't show exclusively through violence and that often people don't even realize they are being offensive. They also talk about mental health issues. Really, the only thing I think was made poorly is that Gun (one of the main characters) is described as cold and scary by the other characters but was shown warming up to Cher (the other main character) very quickly. It's something that could have been avoided by not rushing things the way they did. For me, it's just a minor error though and I still really enjoy watching this series.

It's a 7, but it's <3 so cute

It's adorable! I gave a 7, but is actually very cute and sweet! But let me tell you, point by point.

About the story: I didn't like the development, and 12 episodes were so much, the series easily will fit into 10 or maybe 8 episodes.

Thinking about Gun (Force) and Cher/Laem (Book), I was really endeared by their dynamics, it was 2 roles that fit them very much. Cher was so, so, SOOO adorable, I wanted to bite him. He was so cute, sweet, gentle, and such a sunshine! And that's exactly why I was a little upset with the screenplay, bcs some actions and things that he did was just so weird when you think about his personality?? About Gun, he was such a gentleman, but... they described him as a cold person and he just wasn't at all? Just a normal boss ig. And that made me a little lost.

In action topics, ForceBook was very good! Force (Gun) was perfect. But I have to say: I love Book, he is a good actor and SO CHARISMATIC (and that's exactly why he's a perfect Cher) but he really slacked in dramatic scenes, all his crying scenes were weird and not natural, it looks like he was really forcing and it wasn't working.

About other characters, the gamers were a very cute group of people, and they were REALLY good, supportive, and caring friends, but Jack made me a little ermmm bcs some of his attitudes. Nothing too deep, tho, he was a good friend at all. Three and Zo were a cutie couple too!

What feels so weird about AB&AB it's that we have 12 episodes, but seems like I didn't watch 12 episodes at all, but at the same time, 12 episodes for what? Because what exactly was happening in all that TWELVE epsiodes? Weird, IDK how to explain at all so... That's it.

Cute simple story. but no side plot or many answers

A Boss and a Babe is a cute story, and the nice series Force and Book deserved after Enchanté. The plot is overall quite simple, but I really liked the main couple. The side characters don’t have individual plots or matter all that much.
Force and Book are great as Gun and Cher, you could see how well they fit into those characters. Force as Gun is the highlight of the series, in my opinion, The entire cast is overall well in the show. Java is the weakest link, but his character is also annoying, so that doesn’t help.
My biggest issue with ABAAB is the fact that the side characters and plots don’t matter. Cher’s friend group is there just to be fun and create lighthearted moments. Zo and Thee have several alone scenes that are bland and don’t go anywhere beyond proving they’re in love. We get a hint about Jack’s backstory and him having depression, but that’s no explored. But not exploring is still better than trying to tackle a heavy issue, like everything involving Tian, and doing a bad job. By the way, Thoop was OK with the mom way to easily.
The biggest mystery for me is Drake's character. Is he the bad guy? What really happened in the past? Did he steal information from Gun’s company about the new game? Was he framed? Did Ink fabricate those logs? I guess we’ll never know… (unless Our Skyy decides to mention it)

not gmms best but DEFINITELY not their worst

I think ForceBook suits roles like this a lot better than Enchante in my opinion. Probably has something to do with them being 26-year-old men that are Not in college idk. Anyways this show was good at the time I kept up with it every week from start to finish but the fact that it ended just a few months ago and I already cannot remember almost anything about it makes me believe it was forgettable lol. In comparison to other gmm bls that came out/ are coming out this year (only friends, hidden agenda, moonlight chicken) it was just nothing special tbh

very cute, but little else

I watched this title with my friend who loves ForceBook (after Only Friends). It's very sweet! The characters are quirky/fun and the plot is cartoonish. While it could be slow, it wasn't ever so bad that I was bored or wanted to drop it. We wanted to watch Force be hot and silly on our TV screens, and that was certainly accomplished. As a pick-me-up or feel-good show, it definitely has it's place.

That said, the story wasn't particularly original or well done. Particularly, a lot of the plot with Tian and Thoop was either haphazard, rushed, or a rather inappropriate tone to the rest of the story. It takes a sweet, unoriginal romcom and makes it just clunky and long enough to sink the rewatch value. I had fun!... but I won't be picking this up again.
