THE BEST ONE

At first, I was hesitant to start this series because it wasn't that popular or famous. I've only seen very few edits in tiktok and ig that's why i thought that there's nothing interesting about this series. But when I finally got the chance to start watching it, GOSH LET ME TELL YOU, I IMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE. The plot, the cast, the storyline, and everything was good. It is very different from every other series that i've watched before. Unlike any other bl series (i have nothing against them tho), this series isn't your typical one. The characters were not in highschool/college, there were no traumatic/sexual scenes, no harsh stories, and the chemistry of mohk and day was just ON TOP for me. This is my all time favorite. And aside from the plot, the OST :(( it made the series a 1000 times more sad. Let me tell you, the Last Twiligt OST by William has something in it that would definitely make you cry everytime you hear it playing in the background. How I wish that I could watch this series for the first time again!

I've never known Jimmy (Mohk) and Sea (Day) before and now I'm obsessed. I even watched Vice Versa immediately as soon as I finished Last Twilight because of them. The chemistry of JimmySea was the best and top tier i swear. I surprisingly watched this series in a dat. A DAY guys, that's how good it is. I love it so much!

Don't judge it by its poster!

I almost skipped this because of the poster that looks like it comes from 1990s LOL

I was initially worried that it'd be depressing or heavy, but it turned out to be more lighthearted than I imagined. Don't get me wrong, it is still sad at lot of parts, but it has lots of funny cute loving moments too. It evens out, I'd say.

It also has depth, like it's meaningful with life lessons while being romantic at same time. It also makes us think of the importance of cherishing little moments in life, not to wait until tomorrow as there might not be another chance, and so on.

Most importantly, the ending is satisfactory. I almost got worried for nothing. I mean, how can they break up?! That 3 years apart must have been challenging, although looking back, I do agree it makes them independent and become a better partner for each other.

I really love and miss their sweet couple moments already, especially that fish tank moments where Mhok look at Day across the glass tank!

I really want to see Mhok an Day in a special episode or sth!

GREENISH GREEN FLAG EVER!!!!!!!!!

I have so many things to say that i don’t even know where to start. This was the most cutest, beautiful, sweetest BL i’ve ever watched. There isn’t enough words in the dictionary to describe how wonderful Mhok is. Every character is unique and beautiful. Sea did an amazing and incredible job acting like a blind person, i loved every single movement he did, how he managed to bring his character to life was sensational. Mhok and Phojai’s friendship is literally the most beautiful thing ever. Night is always so supportive of his brother and he deserved so much love. The way Mhok falls in love with Day everyday, the way he literally puts himself in his lover shoes is fantastic. Mhok teaches Day so many things, they saved each other. They learned what love is, and the meaning behind it. At the beginning Day was a little annoying, specially with his older brother Night, and their mother also was a bit annoying but they develop so damn prettily. I fell in love with everyone in this show. Every character has a unique story and everyone got their happy ending. I cried, i laughed, I was truly happy while watching this. It’s literally so damn sweet how everyone learns that life isn’t a “sea of roses”, yes there’s beauty in the little things, but there’s always something to learn about the bad things that happens to us, it’s not the end of the world. This shows teaches you that and more. This shows was everything.

just disappointed

i really really enjoyed the first few episodes of this but then it kinda lost me. you can tell that they writers tried to make mhok the "ideal green flag boyfriend". and by doing that, they completely ripped him of the traits that made him so interesting to watch, and just made him "day's boyfriend".

mhok also goes on an UNPAVED and STEEP hiking path with a man who is almost entirely blind and is definitely not used to being blind. WHICH IS SOOO EXTREMELY UNSAFE. and then day's mom is obviously like Wtf why would you do that???? and day gets MAD AT HER ????????

anyway i'm more disappointed than anything about the letdown of this show. i feel it could've been great, but the directions they took the characters in was just not the Best idea i fear....

Day is Awful, Mhok is Great, Series was Okay....

Now to be fair, I started watching this right after finishing "I Feel You Linger In The Air" (which had me in tears - something extremely rare for any piece of media to do). Given how highly this is rated, not to mention the great premise, I jumped at it. I figured I was already on the emotional rollercoaster, might as well go for broke...but yeah...no.

Mhok:
Early on I adored the interactions between Day and Mhok. The banter was top-notch and really made me fall for Mhok's character, especially with the backstory he was given. I had seen the actor before in Bad Buddy and his performance in the beginning of this show didn't disappoint and left me eager for the next episode - at first. It didn't take long for everything I loved about the character to be washed away, leaving Mhok as nothing more than a plot device for Day. While we saw fleeing moments of his spunky personality, it was rare and completely non-existent by the end.

Mhok is like the most well seasoned steak that was waved in front of us, then is taken to the sink to have all the spices washed off after we've been teased with it. By the end of the show he's not even recognizable as the same character from the beginning. You can cry character development all you like, but all I saw was character assassination - right down to his very wardrobe. Out of everything I didn't like about this series, this, in my opinion, was the worst offense. How did he go from a bad boy with fart shirts and jeans that had more holes than fabric to a pitiful caricature in polo shirts that begs a jerk to take him back and thanks them for their mistreatment? Come on....they did his character so, so dirty.

Day:
I'd like to say they did the same character assassination to Day, but honestly, he started as a brat and ended as an even bigger brat who wouldn't know how to apologize if it hit him in the face with a brick. The way he treated everyone was just awful. Disability or no, you don't treat people like that and he never once took accountability for his actions or treatment of others. He simply has no excuse other than being an petulant child incapable of maturity unless the plot called for it.

Example: This guy seems to be really into Mhok, then suddenly it's 'haha, fooled you I'm actually crushing on an old friend and I don't like you at all because you aren't my type.' Wait, what?! I was so confused. Episodes of building up their obvious mutual attraction - for what? Then to make it worse, he nearly instantly FORGIVES said friend for kissing him out of pity, yet heartlessly dumps Mhok because he didn't want to take a job in another country which would force him from Day's side? He says it's because Mhok pitied him but I never saw that at all and, again, the fact he'd dump and then block his number for three years for one lie (which he had good reason for) while practically insta-forgiving being pity-kissed and led on by his crush is laughable in a bad way. Like, you can be mature about the guy who literally used you, but not with the guy who actually loves you? Uh-huh. Make it make sense, writers.

Honestly, by episode 06 I was already so over the show and had to force myself to watch to the end - all because of how awful Day's personality was. Honestly, how can you act like you're into someone, to then only show interest in someone else, to then hurt the person you first showed interest in, only to turn around and change you mind 'just because', then continually hurt that person over and over again while claiming to love them? That's just toxic and Mhok deserved better.

Side Characters:
While Mhok initially stole my heart, Night stole the show - with what few scenes they gave him. He did NOT deserve all the BS from his mom and Day. None of it was his fault. Honestly, if he and Phojai had this show done through their perspective, I'd have rather have watched that because they were AMAZING and had fantastic chemistry. Such a waste. It's sad when I care exponentially more about side characters I barely see than the main couple. Also, the mother was such a horrible, controlling piece of work. Literally the worst, just like her youngest son. I get where she was coming from, but wow did she take it too far to the point it was cringeworthy and really in bad taste. Also, just a small rant but I have to say it - it bothers me to no end that Day can be fine with his mother pitying him and treating him differently, but Mhok shows a single moment of weakness (the weakness is wanting to stay with Day) and that's just too much? Again, make it make sense, writers.

Overall:
Honestly, there's a lot more I could say. The ending, the father, the time skips, the excessive amount of product placement for that tea and berry milk....sigh. All that said, I don't blame the actors at all. They were on point and did great with what they were given but what they were given was just bad. That said I didn't really feel any chemistry between Mhok and Day at all - it just wasn't there and the intimate scenes were pretty stiff and cringeworthy more often than not. Mhok really tried, but it seemed as if every time Mhok kissed him, that Day was afraid of getting cuties or something. I haven't seen kissing that stiff since Seven Days (which was, admittedly, still the worst kissing scene I've ever watched in any media so far). Again, no shade to the actors, it happens and for the most part everyone did a great job with what they were given. Also had no problems with the music and the cinematography was on point as well.

Even so, I honestly don't get why this is rated as highly as it is. Maybe I just have bad taste, I don't know. All I know is that the series was just okay. I mean, I've watched worse, probably even enjoyed worse.... I guess I simply had too high of expectations and at the end of the day simply wasn't able to connect to the main character in any positive way.

Emotional and Beautiful

I started watching the series after episode 3 had aired because I saw people raving about it. How easily attached they got to the characters, how touched they are by the story. And what they said was all true. I got hooked so quickly. The chemistry between the leads is wonderful. The show is so good at giving you these emotional moments that make you wonder why am I so touched? Why am I crying? What just happened?

The cute stuff is stinking cute. The emotional stuff hits you in the face. The show hurts you on the regular but you are also happy about it.

This is not a fast paced show. This show is for everyone who enjoys characters getting to know each other better, enjoying each other's company, growing in the process.

The acting is so good. Everyone delivered but especially Jimmy and Sea. Both are such expressive actors. Their eyes and faces say it all. If someone watched Vice Verca before and is on the fence because of it, fear not. The acting truly is top notch.

Stand out episodes for me are episodes 3 and 9. These episodes especially did something to my heart.

My First and Last Twilight

This series have set the bar too high for everything, Great story, Marvelous cast, Top director and off the chart Ost's .. This is no doubt a 10/10 for everything, It's unique story with the right phasing, every episode keeps getting better and will definitely touch your heart and make you cry every episode, even just remembering what i have watched makes me cry 😅 the amount of times i have watched every episode and even english reaction videos up to thai reactors that i dont even understand their comments hahaha !! that's how much i love this series ❤️ P'aof and JimmySea never dissappoint ! memorable

uno de los bls más hermosos que he visto ....de esos que se quedan grabados en tu corazón....gran historia....grandes actuaciones.....hermosa fotografía y por sobre todo una bella enseñanza....lo recomiendo una y 1000 veces.... viene a mi parecer reivindicar a este ship ya que siento que la gmmtv no le había sacado todo el potencial que tienen estos actores tienen una gran química juntos .....se nota que hay cariño entre ellos pwro por sobre todo mucho profesionalismo y respeto por su trabajo y por nosotros.....sus espectadores.....nada más que decir solo gracias por alegrar mis tardes de viernes ;)

Masterpiece

They honestly couldn't have done any better with this series. The story was well written, the acting was superb, the music complimented every emotion, the series is a masterpiece. Their are very few shows that can draw you in with a slow burn of just pure emotions. From their first meeting I could not believe how simple, but effectively written their meeting was. Complemented beautifully by some amazing acting, where the chemistry could be felt from the TV. Sea and Jimmy had me from the moment he made his come for his ID. The perfect setup for the rollercoaster to come.

They took such a sensitive situation and they did it with so much realism and respect. The main characters handled their parts so well and the very important sub-characters that normalised what they have to live with just by being in their lives. It was very well done, showing all the facets of how one problem affects everyone in various ways, even if it isn't your problem. Nothing was hard and fast, the buildup moving through every emotion was a treat, I felt like I lived in his triumphs, his failures, his fear, his disappointments. I didn't love every moment of it, but I loved every moment of it. Love, fear, heartache, sacrifice and growth are all parts of life and they surely displayed this during the series. Even though most of the series was on the aftermath of an incident, having all the back stories perfectly timed and placed made everything even more memorable.

The chemistry between all of the cast was a delight, the reveal of the cause was simple but I got a deeper understanding of why the brothers dynamics was so raw in the beginning. Having Night's pain be felt with every interaction he had with Day, only to find out why it was so painful made their relationship mean so much more to me. He is truly a great big brother, despite his mistakes. Their mother, was exactly that, their mother. She didn't always have a good display of balance between caring for her children, but that is understandable given the circumstances, doesn't make it okay, but she tried and got better at it towards the end. Though it was simply beef stew, at least she remembered it was two children she needs to always show love to.
