My Comfort Drama

I refused to watch this drama earlier because I thought it would be too emotional to handle but now I completed it, I regret not watching it earlier. I completed it in just 4 days amd it has become my comfort drama. I cried alot, laughed alot watching it. The cast and the storyline was the best. The chemistry between the cast was very good and natural. One of the best dramas I have ever watched. Perfect light thrill and romance with great backstory, character development and moral. It's a must watch❤

Had potential to become something better

At the first part of the story it had good storyline. The mystery and tension was good but it was resolved all too quickly. it felt as though the writer was trying to write a good mystery and then was like "lets change the genre!". It had good potential as a mystery with romance as the sub genre. To be honest with you it was good but it would be better if the mystery wasn't resolved at the third episode. I only watched this because my husband was in it but I must say it was not worth the hype.

Not sure, if I should like it

I actually like both actors (Memories of the Alhambra and hapiness are great series), but this drama is just a bit over the top, silly, illogical and boring at the same time. What I like the most is the second lead couple in this series. I'll watch it little by little, so I'll finish it. It's a shame actually, I was looking forward to both of them.**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

A comfort drama

I like this series not the best drama but it gives comfort. Two broken people in the past finds healing into each other, they both are healing by getting to know each other and understand each feeling until they develop and find love in each other.
I find this drama a bit funny especially the family of Nam Ha Neul I like their family it cute and funny, their reactions makes it even more funnier.
I can see a matured Min hyuk (Strong Woman Da Bong So) Park Hyun Sik"s acting here is like his character in that drama, very jolly, funny and confident.
I also like the story of the second leads Dae Young and Hong Ran they have a second chance in finding true love. They both have children in their past but still managed to be together inspite of it.
Park Shin Hye is very good in this type of genre she is excellent in drama and very funny too. She did a superb job in this series.
Overall i like this drama it talks about healing in the past pain, learn to overcome it. It gives a comforting feeling. I like how it ends it leaves a smile on my face.

The finale is finally here and the Kdrama has given us the ending that is most suitable for the Jeong-Ha couple that remains playful and therapeutic right until the end. Finally, we have all found our perfect landing after this rollercoaster and all we know now is the happiness experienced through this show.

This episode showed some more sides of the couple along with an unexpected romance for Tae-seon, but it also brought in the growth that every character is still going through, reminding us that there is no end to one’s growth. With this, the neverending story of the Jeong-Ha couple and those around them continues while telling us that this is not the end but a new beginning.

A cute romance between two people in rock bottom

I thought this was a particularly nice rom-com to watch. There wasn't much that I hated/ would improve about it. I loved the pretty realistic setbacks the two main characters experience to bring them to the worst slump of their life. I love the emphasis the show made on mental health, friendships and family values. The character's struggles and life experiences seemed very relatable and I loved the story all the more for that.
I could see why this drama might seem a little plain for some as the romance was very calm and the 'enemies to lovers' part that they signed up for was immediatley resolved. There were no dramatic scenes or villans and no romantic scenes that made me want to scream and bury my head in a pillow.
The scenes with the family, the second couple and the comedy in the drama was also very well done! Some of the comedy scenes really got me smiling from ear to ear and of course park hyung sik and park shin hye acted so well in their roles!

Overall a really nice comfort watch, just what you need to get over your drama watching slump :P

Doctor Slump: A Mature Romance That Slowly Wins Your Heart

Doctor Slump may initially seem like just another typical romantic comedy, but as you start watching, it becomes clear that it’s a much more mature and emotionally rich story. Your experience perfectly illustrates this: at first, it might not immediately grab you, but once you understand the subtle nuances and character development, the drama becomes truly captivating. The series highlights school days moments, where the characters, Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye, compete to see who answers questions faster or scores better on exams. These scenes not only add humor and playfulness but also subtly lay the foundation for their developing romance. The romance is gradual and realistic, making the relationship feel authentic and engaging.

Why you should watch Doctor Slump:

1. Mature storytelling – The drama goes beyond romance, exploring personal and professional challenges, burnout, and emotional struggles.
2. Subtle, realistic romance – Relationships develop naturally, without overused clichés, allowing viewers to feel a genuine connection between the characters.
3. Humor and entertaining situations – School competitions and playful interactions add lightheartedness and enjoyment to the story.
4. Amazing actor chemistry – Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye make every scene believable, from serious moments to comedic situations.
5. Slow-burning engagement – The drama doesn’t hook you immediately, but once you understand the characters’ inner world and relationships, each episode becomes more enjoyable.

Verdict:
Doctor Slump is a perfect choice for those who enjoy mature romantic dramas with humor, challenges, life lessons, and authentic chemistry between the main leads. It’s a story that grows on you and rewards patient viewers with a heartfelt, engaging experience.

Expected Greys Anatomy Vibes but it didn't deliver

I love that k-dramas are addressing mental health issues, as well as pressure of having success in their society. This drama is good in a way that needs to address this in Korean society. Other than that I expected that if both leads were doctors we would get more interactions of them in the hospital, the pressure that comes with being a doctor and how your job is responsible for human lives.

Taking into consideration that many doctors deal with so much due to their job, it would have been more interesting that they developed the drama from that pov, but they didn't.

Has cute moments, laughed at embarrassing moments as well, but believe that high school flashbacks were unnecessary.

Will They Ever Be Healed?

I knew this would be funny due to the cast. I did not, however, expect it to be so deep & poignant. It has lots of moments that many people will relate to. The humor is very present, but so are the pain & struggles of the Leads.

Once rivals in school due to being top students in a constant battle to outdo each other, they’re now successful adults. ML is a plastic surgeon & FL is an anesthesiologist.

Success isn’t all they thought it’d be, though. Upon realizing she’s not at all happy, the FL is diagnosed with depression. And the ML is facing a crises from a mysterious medical accident, resulting in PTSD. While they’re at their lowest, they meet again. Will it renew their rivalry or will love blossom instead?

Omg - the Leads are just precious. I love how they tackle the hurdles & bravely face each new day, even though it’s hard. They’re strong yet vulnerable; independent but needy (in a good way!). Watching their friendship grow was so fun. I laughed so much! They have such a deep & beautiful bond. Their love is the kind we all wish to experience. 💖🫠

IMO, they did a great job portraying what it’s like living with a mental health issue. From being diagnosed to receiving treatment, the emotions are all there. The shock & denial followed by the acceptance & then learning how to live in the new reality. The struggle is very real, for the patient & for their family/loved ones. This drama handled it really well! 👏🏻

Doctors heal patients, this one heals headaches—after 16 painfully slow episodes

"Doctors heal patients, this one heals headaches—after 16 painfully slow episodes." 🩺
6/10 – A Healing Rom-Com That Starts with Promise and Ends with Nap-Inducing Pace

✨ THE GOOD:
Rival-to-roommate-to-romance? Nice arc. Park Hyung‑sik & Park Shin‑hye had that mature “we’ve been through stuff” vibe—like medical professionals, not teen idols.
Mental health matters. Burnout, depression and therapy are treated with surprising sensitivity—no magic bandaid.
Side characters shine. That friend couple? More entertaining and faster-paced than the leads—seriously, give them the spin-off.

💤 THE “HAVE WE MOVED YET?” MOMENTS:
Glacial pacing. Episodes 7–13 felt like watching paint dry in slow-mo.
Villains galore. New shady figures appeared and bounced faster than the last bad Tinder date.
Tone wobble city. One minute heartfelt healing, next minute melodrama overload. Ambition without editing.

💑 THE “JUST KISS ALREADY” FACTOR:
Romance? Gently warm.
Heat? Soft-boiled.
Ultimately felt like you're at a fancy hospital reception—casual, polite, but not steamy.

🎯 VERDICT:
"Like drinking lukewarm green tea—healthy intentions, but you’re mostly ready for a chaser."

Watch if: You want realistic romance, actual therapy talk, and zero dramatics-heavy villain arcs.
Skip if: You need pace, passion, or even a remotely consistent villain.

Best paired with: 🛌 A cozy blanket, slow sips of tea, and patience—lots of it.

A failed our beloved summer remake but boring

There might be a good premise here, I take this is supposed to be a comfort K-drama with minimal drama and a focus on how our leads navigate depression and eventually fight their way out of it. The answer? Get a partner!

Yes the FL encourages him to get therapy, yes it addresses the stigma around mental health. The story does boil down to this man has PTSD and this woman has depression. They like each other. The end. It misses the substance, the days on end in bed unable to drag yourself out. Being so sensitive that you burst our crying during a conversation. A partner is not always the solution. All in all it was an interesting premis that got boring within the first few episodes. This should have been a limited series.
