Cinderella Slapstick at it's finest
This show is hilarious. I laughed so hard. I love the chemistry btw ML and FL. It develops so well.If you like this kind of slapstick, this is a show for you.
You'll find some typical Cinderella themes, but with a ne interpretation.
Not a minute is boring.

Chamber play without any sense
Maybe I'm too old and experienced to much to understand the meaning behind this film. It's somehow far-fetched to pack so many questions of fate into this short vacation with a childhood friend (hand on heart, who remembers their friend from elementary school so much?!?) in New York.
A what if and what could have been play, that somehow doesn't make sense.
If the two of them had had something together, it would have been more realistic - but so???
Well, we can watch good actors and admire a little bit of New York in beautiful pictures. That also has something of its own. But I don't understand the hype surrounding this film.

Hilarious, sexy, unique, exciting
I don't quite understand why this drama is rated relatively poorly on viki. I was amazed by every episode until now. The actors are great across the board and the story, the editing and the music are finally something completely different than the standard K's.The body change is really well done. Even if you forget who is who while you wait at the new episode, the characters are so well played that it becomes clear after a few minutes. The main leads have chemistry and the kiss scenes are sometimes really hot and WOW! I also find the alternation between serious topics such as death, responsibility, grief, fear and the exaggerated world of advertising cool. What I also find crazy is Lomoon's transformation. The difference clothes and hair makes is truly unbelievable.
As soon as all the episodes are out, I'll watch it again straight away.

Mainleads mismatched
I was really looking forward to this drama, but now I'm really a bit disappointed.First of all, the two main actors, who in my opinion have absolutely no chemistry with each other.
In "Everlasting Longing," Song Wei Long and Angela Baby made a truly beautiful couple. That's not the case here at all. There's absolutely no chemistry between the two main actors. It's as if an adult were playing with a child.
How can you pair such a striking, male actor with someone so bland and childlike? It really doesn't fit at all.
Of course, the whole story suffers from this, and I'm now seriously wondering whether I should continue watching.
I find myself constantly fast-forwarding; for me, there's just no tension. Others may see it differently, but unfortunately, for me, it's a no.
The story itself is nothing new. There are a lot of better dramas ongoing, with good pairings (Serendipity, The prisoner of beauty). I feel bad for Song Weilong, because i like his acting.

Novel Reader may be slightly disappointed
In the novella, Tao Hua is abducted by the Chancellor and meant to be killed – but she saves herself by forcing him to marry her. At first, their connection is purely physical, but over time, real love develops between them. The Chancellor is a reserved, layered character. Many key elements are missing in the film – such as his humorous best friend who secretly sleeps with the concubines while the Chancellor is only intimate with Tao Hua. Tao Hua’s brother, who is poisoned but briefly becomes king, is also still alive in this drama.
A major difference: In the book, Tao Hua is poisoned but survives through pregnancy and is healed by childbirth. This symbolic arc is completely absent in the film, where the Chancellor ends up poisoning himself – a much weaker twist in comparison.
The Empress was well portrayed for most of the series, but in the final episode she suddenly acts out of character – exaggerated and irrational, breaking the consistency of her role.
Visually, the film is polished, and the leads have chemistry. But much of the emotional depth and symbolism from the book is lost. Even the music felt distracting at times.
Conclusion: Visually appealing and watchable – but as a book adaptation, it falls disappointingly short.

Outstanding drama - one of my alltime favorits
I'm usually more of a Xianxia fan and don't really like Wuxia. But this drama left me speechless.I admit that I started watching because of the title and the hot opening scene. The two main actors blew me away immediately, even though I didn't know either of them. The story captivated me immediately and the costumes, the cuts, the music, everything captivated me so much that I immediately took out a subscription to Youku to devour this series. It's now also on Viki, but I don't want to wait. The development of the love between Mei Lin and Murong Jing He is told in a wonderfully coherent way. I think it's particularly nice that a camaraderie, respect and friendship develops before both realize that they love each other. The time when both disappear from the scene and hide in a mountain village - to recover and wait for political developments - is particularly important in order to understand the dynamics of the two and also to understand why both want to sacrifice themselves for each other. The adventures of the two are filmed brilliantly. The cameraman has a great sense of aesthetics and the landscape shots and locations are really well chosen. Baron Chen, as Murong Xuan Lie and Crown Prince, manages to stir up emotions very subtly. He is the considered villain who plans calmly and leaves nothing to chance. If he weren't caught up in his obsession with the beautiful General Luo Mei and thus rash and vulnerable - nothing would stop him. At the beginning I would never have thought that she would fall in love with him and stand by his side even when he dies. You almost don't begrudge this ice-cold murderer the opportunity to express a wish for the next life. You often forget that this person has the lives of tens of thousands of people on his conscience and that all just to defame his brother. This is even pointless, because he would have become the Crown Prince without any ifs and buts. The heir to the throne of Yue Qin, who loves Mei Lin, is a little pale but beautiful. This obsession is not entirely clear, as apart from gratitude for saving him, there is actually little interaction between the two and the love seems superficial. So I'll turn back to the bigger picture. I haven't mentioned the fight scenes yet, which are of course very good, very bloody, very brutal - so why does everyone somehow survive after such terrible injuries? Any university hospital of this decade would be overwhelmed. But a little imagination is needed. Contrary to my habit of fast-forwarding everything boring, I have made it to episode 24 without doing this. Chapeau. Record... Here we are now. The king is saved, the heir to the throne and the villain is dead. Murong Jin He has miraculously survived his enormous injuries and Mei Lin is on her way to marry the heir to the throne Yue Qin and on her way to another country... and now I am excited to see how my two beloved main protagonists will manage to turn things around and spend their holidays in the mountain village holding hands while the kids play... and woe betide them!!!!!

IT'S A GEM !!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10)In the Name of Blossom is truly one of the best series I’ve ever watched. It is a brilliant Chinese drama that captivated me from beginning to end. The lead actress, Zhang Yaqin, delivers an outstanding performance, and her co-star Li Xian is equally impressive. This show touched my heart in a way few others have.
The first part of the story, Flourished Peonies, was already a masterpiece—beautifully written, suspenseful, and emotionally rich. And incredibly, the second part lives up to that standard in every way. It continues the story with the same emotional depth and intelligent character development. In my eyes it's one and the same drama anyway!
What makes this drama so groundbreaking is the portrayal of the female lead’s journey. Her emancipation from her first husband, her growing strength, and her ability to stand up for herself are powerful and inspiring. The way her deep friendship with Li Xian slowly evolves into a beautiful, mature love is simply breathtaking. I loved watching their bond deepen over time, from companionship to true love. It felt organic, moving, and real.
One of my favorite moments throughout the series is when they grill together and sit on the swing, looking up at the moon—such tender and intimate scenes that show the beauty of their connection. The combination of friendship, love, and political intrigue was perfectly balanced, making the whole experience emotionally rich and fulfilling.
If I had to point out one small criticism, it would be the somewhat unrealistic recovery of the male lead after several serious injuries. At times, it stretched believability that he could survive so much trauma. But then again, this is fiction, and I’m just so grateful he made it through—and that they got their happy ending.
The casting is superb. I was especially surprised by the actor who played Liu Chang. He’s incredibly handsome, yet he managed to portray a villain so convincingly that I ended up completely hating him—proof of what a great actor he is.
All in all, In the Name of Blossom is a gem. A rare, emotionally intelligent, and deeply moving drama that I will carry in my heart for a long time. It’s a solid 10 out of 10 for me—no further words needed. Just pure admiration.

Exciting and sweet
This drama is so exciting, I can't stand it anymore, always these breaks in between, 5 days off, you should really binge watch it. I'm so curious......I find so many suspicious there (the mother, she never shows, that she loves her son and does everything for her politician career / the CEO and his brother / the brother of
the ex-girlfriend who is aggressive and violent)
But I really like how great the FL + ML are. The act with each other so honestly. This is so different from all these other K-Dramas where one misunderstanding follows the next.

adult and sexy
10 so far, might change, but actually is this a drama which captivate me.Both leads are sexy and torn. Both have to overcome their fears and need zo stop playing games.
It's exciting to watch how it develops.
Highly recommend so far.
I think the whole atmosphere of the drama is really great and the music fits well with it.
I think the drama is extremely well done, it develops very slowly, but it's still insane. Exciting, so sometimes quite unusual somehow.

Give up!!!
I really loved the series, I'm also really happy that the two finally got together and are about to marry. It was clear with the video that it would come up again at some point.
I don't think that's necessarily an indicative of a second season (nobody needs that). Rather, it means that it just won't be easy for the two of them, even if they are married, because so many are against it. So life goes on as usual 😅 .
Well, the fact that both of them have had a partner before and therefore also sex should be clear, the video is just a real mess from her ex-husband, but all in all it won't change anything in their relationship.
Maybe the beast will do herself and her silly brother a favor and delete the video. Both siblings should have slowly understood that they never have a chance.
If you could just get someone who's solo, oh god who would I have had... LOL!!!
That must be a bit of a reciprocity thing. That's why I don't understand the point of still not giving up after the 100th rejection.

Diabetes
I hate basically everything about this drama. It's so stupid, I'm at a loss for words. What's cool about a child falling in love? Apart from that, it's completely unrealistic and kind of the virginal dream of girls of boy band age. Help! Why does this drama have such good reviews?!?There are a lot of wonderful Disney Tales, if you wanna die because of Diabetes.

Enjoyable as a fun short watch
First Night with the Duke is a light, entertaining drama that doesn’t take itself too seriously — which is both its charm and its limitation. With only twelve episodes, it’s an easy watch that moves at a brisk pace and provides a good dose of escapist fun.The storyline is relatively silly, filled with playful moments and over-the-top situations, but that’s part of what makes it enjoyable if you’re in the mood for something uncomplicated. OK Taecyeon is, as always, very easy on the eyes, but his acting — like Seohyun — isn’t exactly award-worthy. It’s all serviceable, but don’t expect depth or nuance.
This is not a drama that leaves a lasting impact or begs for a rewatch. It's not groundbreaking in any way, and definitely not worthy of a perfect score — let’s save those high marks for truly exceptional series. That said, First Night with the Duke is a perfectly pleasant diversion and a fun little ride while it lasts.
Recommended if you’re looking for something light, funny, and undemanding — but probably a one-time watch.

Nice Couple in Interior design scene
I really liked this. I thought the chemistry between the MLs was great and the decisions were totally understandable. I usually fast forward a lot with C dramas because they are often too long-winded and too detail-oriented. I really watched this one. A solid 8.5 points from me.############################################# 500 characters length 😄 ############## Puh ######################################################## Review, not novel!#####################################################Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderful and depresding at the same time
puh, what can I say about this. I felt so depressed after watching this and liked it at the same time.I would have liked, that the pair would end up in a kind of happy end. But - and that was my feeling from the beginning - they are to different and it would be to unbelievable.
At first he wanted to help her because of her disability. After he realized her pretty face he got more and more interested in her life and lost interest in his current sex benefitted friendships.
After they open up to each other, they live together. He helped her currently with her disability, but you see: he is pretty, tall, well educated... During this time, there are so much unlucky undertones in the behavior of both.
The moment he was happy to see the negative pregnancy test.
The permanent sad eyes of her.
The depressing living area. The kind she is related to him.
At the end, there is a scene, where both visit Scotland- and while I felt happy for them, it left me in disbelieving. ...and it was truly only her fantasy, because he moved on in the meantime and would marry another woman. This is like the world goes round, but it is so sad.
The actors are all very good and the film is slow, but at the same time rushed. There are no unnecessary scenes and we know about the situation within a few sentences.
I enjoyed watching it, but wouldn't watch it again, because it left me depressed. If I give my living time to films, it should cheer me up with magical and unrealistic love stories.

Exciting Film, unfortunately with a lot of stereotypes
The film is exciting and thrilling. Song Joong-ki's acting is really excellent, he's also good in normal K-dramas, but he's even better here. The entire film gets 10 points from me, even if I now criticize it. The film largely takes place in Brussels and I have to say that not a single European is portrayed as nice or sympathetic in the entire film!!! This is very unfair. Europe is groaning under the refugee burden of the last few years. In Brussels there are now two queues in front of the asylum office: families, women and men traveling alone. There are simply no more shelters to house people, so a lot of single men actually end up on the streets. That's terrible, of course, but at the same time it shows that the current system is breaking down because of the sheer weight of it. As already indicated in the film, many people flee for economic reasons and it is very difficult to do justice to people without a passport in individual cases. Here, too, the Belgians are portrayed as almost inhuman, it's so nasty towards the hard-working people in the authorities. Of course there are no "normal" Belgians in the film. Only the blonde woman f****g preferably in a pack is shown, the violent drug lord and criminal ...The most brutal xenophobia is constantly shown. This paints a one-dimensional picture of a complex situation in which there is more humanity and help than shown here. Was this review helpful to you?
