Watari Nagi is a female high school student in Yokosuka, Japan. She doesn't fit in with her classmates. She likes to fantasize, and when she hears a sound, she visualizes the sound as colours. Her eccentric habit soon leads her to have repeated daydreams of flying in the sky. She doesn't feel good about that. Meanwhile, Thaim lives in the alternate world Upananta, and he is a dragon rider. Unusual phenomena start to take place in Upananta, which involves many floating islands falling from the sky. Hero Aktha leads his group, and they try to save people during the crisis. Thaim joins Aktha's group, but he isn’t happy with them. This is because he can’t hear the voice of dragons, which is the most important thing when riding a dragon. Thaim is also considered a dropout by Aktha’s group, and he is uncomfortable there. One day, these two worlds intersect. Nagi meets Thaim from Upananta. Even though they come from different worlds, Nagi and Thaim share the fact that they are different from those around them. (Source: AsianWiki; edited by kisskh) Edit Translation

A waste of time
I'll be completely honest, the impression I have is that I've wasted several hours of my life on this drama. What a boring and bad story, and what was up with the CGI in the final episode? Did Disney produce this drama on a low budget or did they spend everything on Mackenyu's fee? This isn't meant to be a destructive criticism or anything, but Mackenyu's performance is below par. It's all monosyllabic acting with a very dictated script.I like some Japanese productions, but this one will be forgettable for me.

You might like it if you like stories that involves multiple worlds.
This got some potential with the story but at some point, it felt like it went downfall by the near end. Plus the visual effects and the background on the battle by the end of the series are somehow questionable because it feels like suddenly they got some budget cuts. It's a good watch though, but I have some regrets. I would be looking forward if they could make up for those regrets.
