What a mess...
This series did not know if it would like to be a serious drama or a comedy. So they cobbled all of that together which of course does not make sense in the slightest. The comedy parts are overacted and cringy and the drama parts sometimes gives us a glimpse of what should have been possible and often they feel forced. The plot is also a mess, even when the core itself could have been good and interesting, but they butchered it. For eight episodes there are too many story elements not brought in a coherent form, jumping from one place to the other. It would have been better just to concentrate on the main & side couple.I have no idea how the director of this show thinks he did a good job. What a mess. Of course MDL would not be MDL if even this crap (overall) gets a rating over 6... 6 means in my world at least medicore to decent, but the only decent thing in this show are the actors doing their best with a wacky script.
If you are time-constraint, just skip it and if you are not, you should skip it as well. Cute faces alone is not a reason to watch any show.

a jumbled mess with unlikable protagonists
Overall: I think AI could have written a better/more coherent story. The 3 stars are for the actors who did a decent job with one of the worst scripts ever. 8 episodes about 40 minutes each. Aired on WeTV https://wetv.vip/en/album/sn15dzsy7fcd8nlContent Warnings: slap, mental health struggles, blood, beaten up, punch, past death/grief, threatened suicide, past murder
Watch Suggestions
- watch episode 1
- episode 2: part a watch 3:15-5:30 and 11-end (GL?)
- skip episode 3
- episode 4: part a watch 8-end, part b beginning-9:35, part c beginning-7
- episode 5: part b watch 5:55-6:15
- episode 6: part c watch 6:30-7:20
- episode 7: part c watch 13-15:50
- episode 8: part a watch 11:30-end
What I Liked
- initial premise was easy to understand
- it was random but what happened in the bathroom stall in 1B
- good that the sister didn't let a stranger in to the house
- supportive female friend
- that in the past the police were actually called and there were actual consequences (not the cliche, 'oh I think he learned his lesson') for the illegal office activity
Room For Improvement
- the slap made me not want a character to be in a romantic relationship
- the series was all over the place with many different vibes, plot threads and characters
- barely any relationship development with the main couple
- flashbacks were not always clear
- almost cartoony villain though the random thirst shots were nice
- why on earth did Ryu apologize in episode 7???
- the finale was awful, so Arm drove drunk, did a hit/murder and run and faced zero consequences other than being sad for a couple years that his barely lover broke up with him?!!!! not just 1 but 2 time skips and how nice for Arm that Ryu got amnesia and forgot that Arm killed his mom?!!!!!!!
- (neutral) comedy sound effects

So, so, so wrong... Why they heck did it fuck it up?
1 star is only because I had to. Acting was the best part out of this whole thing.Reading the summary sounded like this would be a good watch, sad but good. Boy was I wrong!
The first few few didn't have much going on really, though I though it would start getting to the plot... Nope....
Now if you are going to try and make the summary sound like that you would think the story would some how be related to it, right? I thought so, but guess they have other plans with this series. The only thing that was any were near the summary was, Ryu being an alcoholic and Arm staring interning at his Uncles company (though the summary says grandson, but Arms says Uncle, who knows).
There is nothing about why Ryu is a complete and utter dick. Yes Arm yelled at you, but that's no reason to act like a child when you are a grown ass man.... You lost your love, ok I get being sad, but this series never talked about him losing her.... one scene had her in it, but that didn't tell you anything... Now if they said why he drank and why he was a dick that would have been helpful.
It's only when they so on the trip for work that Arms starts to see Ryu in a different light, and vice versa. Though from ep 6 to ep 7 there was a huge ass gap of WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? You go from seeing Anna going into kissing the little bitch to Anna talking to Ken about Ryu having a tumor. Huh? What the hell are you talking about? Plus you see Arms going to Ryu's house to see him, another huh? How, when did they get back from the trip? What about the two dipshits fighting, they still together? What the hell was the whole Pee almost cheating on Ex (?)… I sopped watching on Ep 7... it just made NO since what so ever. They should have done this whole series right from the get go and made it longer if they couldn't di it all in 8 eps.
I whish I could give this a better review, but they done fucked this whole series up.

Confusing Drama with a Weak Script – Not Worth Watching
The Last Time is a Thai series that attempts to blend romance, drama, and mystery but falls short in almost every aspect. The story revolves around a complex relationship, but it's difficult to follow, with a script that lacks depth and coherence. The plot feels disjointed, leaving viewers confused about its true direction. The performances by the cast are mixed, with some actors delivering weak portrayals, which only adds to the series' lack of impact. The characters, particularly the leads, are underdeveloped and often come across as unrealistic. At times, the series lingers on pointless, drawn-out scenes that seem to have no purpose, while other times, it abruptly skips forward in time without explaining what has happened in between. This inconsistency makes it hard to engage with the narrative. The tone of the series is also inconsistent, often wavering between what feels like a serious drama and a farcical comedy, leaving viewers unsure of what to expect.
The lack of a solid storyline and the confusing character dynamics ultimately made it difficult to stay invested. By the end of it, I found myself fast-forwarding through the last few episodes, which says a lot about how little it managed to hold my attention. Unfortunately, this is the worst Thai series I’ve watched this year.

Was this review helpful to you?
