DAMN this was so good
first of all guys we had such a beautiful journey finishing this series cause we waited for 3 years im gonna re-watch it soon!!! and lattekim, there chemistry was so good and kim really served face card here i have cried for what episode 11 and 12 most the scenes where phop was yearning for klao damn this is series was everything and There nc scenes they were so good I almost died watching that I love how they didn't rushed the ending and it was smooth.if you are thinking if you should watch it or not we'll it's slow burn so if you don't like that you can skip but I would not recommend it cause that slow burn will definitely pay off after episode 7 and phop is such is cutie and green flag you shouldn't miss that so give it a try.
(AND OF COURSE WHOEVER PUT GLASSES ON NET I LOVE YOU PLEASE MARRY ME)

I Still Believe in This Story
I came into LUAT with high expectations, and I can understand why some viewers might feel disappointed after the first episode or two.The pacing at the beginning is a bit slow, and the tone leans more into light comedy than what some people expected from a historical BL. These points are valid and worth acknowledging.
However, I don’t think it’s fair to judge the entire series this early. There is clear potential in the storytelling, and the production quality is actually quite solid. The cinematography and setting are visually appealing, and Net’s performance brings emotional depth that keeps the story engaging.
Like many series, this one may take a few episodes to fully establish its direction and emotional weight. Dropping it too soon might mean missing the development that comes later.
Overall, instead of labeling it as a failure, I see LUAT as a series that is still building its foundation. It deserves more time before a final judgment is made.

ITS A 10/10 AND ITS NOT EVEN COMPLETE YET
1000000/10 series. I love Love Upon a Time!! As of April 5th there’s only 2 episode and it’s genuinely sooo good. It’s building up to the greatest angst story ever. And NetJJ and LatteKim are phenomenal!!!You’ve never seen such a relatable main character. How would you react if you got sent to the past— 400 years!! You’d probably freak out, maybe be in denial or even believe ending it would send you back home. So did Nakhun HAHA!! He’s relatable freak out to suddenly being in the past was the funniest thing ever. I loved seeing it because that’s how I’d react

✨Love Upon A Time✨ - A beautiful love story which continues from the PAST!!
Love Upon A Time, omg this...... this was straight up perfection!!! I love this series so much that it is so hard to let go of this.... Nakun (aka Klao) just sparked up everything to the present..... I just love the way he changed Kaew's curse to Jom to making that curse, a curse of falling in love!! He did anything just to protect his friends!! As of for P'Phop, ohhh the man you truly are.... He raised my standards so high, that I don't think so anyone in this world can beat it!! He yearned for Nakun, loved him ever since a young age, and kept his promise... 'until I find you and seek you again, I'll love you once more.' this line changed me, my whole perspective of this world of hatred. I just love him so much, that I couldn't bear to see him die!! He waited, waited for his loved one to come back, yet he disappeared once again.... leaving him all alone... I felt soo bad for Klao, getting killed all cuz of the stupid opium trade case. As of for Nakun, from wanting to go back home to wanting to stay with P'Phop.... Even if it was for an hour or less, it felt like an eternity, time moving along with the pace of their relationship.... After 400 years, they finally found each other and once more fell in love and got married!! Jom, being the physician was so hot.... like his attitude was understandable towards Kaew in the beginning cuz of the incident between Roong and the high lord's son.... I just wonder, if they met again in the present world and fell in love again??? I rlly wish that happened but it's fine..... we hv ChermChey now!! OMG Kaew was sooo pretty, in the past and present.. And I just loved the way Jom stood up for Kaew.... in the present life, Thee yearned for Pun, with everything he could do, just for him to be with Pun.... and their NC scene was sawr hawt that I fainted.... Same goes for PhopNakun, both the past and present!! Ahh DOMUNDI, you've gave me another drama which I will never forget..!! All the side leads were soo good in portraying their characters, they made me laugh and cry and hate..... I will miss my ancient gang from the past. All of them connected,, ahhh I want a friendship like them!!Anyways abt the drama, the acting and script was top-notch!!! OST's sounds beautiful and the colour of it is just amazing.... TYSM LUAT TEAM FOR MAKING THIS MEMORABLE...... u will always hold a vein in my heart.... ITS JUST SOO HARD TO LET THEM GO... and I have also learned something new, 'To a love unbound by gender, standing resolute against the tides of time' this proves that true love can be in many lifetimes, whether the past or present or future!! Phop and Nakun didn't fall in love with each other just cuz of their looks or gender, BUT THE LOVE WHICH HOLDS THEM TOGETHER, like the red-string theory!! LOVE ISN'T JUST A RANDOM THING, ITS THE POWER WHICH MAKES YOU FIND A TRUSTWORTHY PERSON FOR YOUR ENTIRE LIFE!!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Goodbye Love Upon A Time, you will hold a place in my heart forever... until we meet again, in my next life!! 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ (yellow mango and espresso petroleum forever 😂⭐)

ITS SOOO GOOD!!! only 2 episodes in and I’m loving it! Net and Jj fit perfectly into the story and their acting is amazing. It’s a perfect mix of romance, comedy and emotion. I waited too long for this series. Especially when seeing all the hardships NetJj, LatteKim and the whole crew went trough, I appreciate it even more!!! definitely a 10/10 already for me! I’m super proud of Net and Jj and everyone else who participated in this project!❤️❤️❤️Was this review helpful to you?

Yes, it was okay
I'll make this as direct as possible. They tried. Mostly delivered in script, acting, pacing and cohesiveness. They lacked in conciseness of ep, length of series, unnecessary moments, circular story patterns and there were some moments that gave pause for the purpose. Why? Like tone down Meng (voice) and LatteKim nc (rushed slightly non feeling performance and Kim's expression). Less is more.
Net, JJ, Tonnam, Kim and Latte in that order. Net gave a plausible and endearing performance which I loved. JJ comedic skills were nice but stretched on for too many episodes. Were there kinks still to be smoothened in their responses to each other? Yes. Are they beautiful and full of chemistry? Undeniable. There was not a moment that they did not light up the screen when they were together. Tonnam (Chuai) was a delight everytime he was on screen. Perfectly cast here. Kim did well for an effeminate male in the past and Latte, hopefully, with more experience would grow smoother in delivery. Though I did like his more pensive moments than the clownish.
Side note: Writers please retire any name that will be shortened to Thi/Tee. Enough of the Phi Thi, please.
Resolving a time travel plot would have issues if not handled correctly. Having a character re-appear in the past is more easily explained than him disappearing right before your eyes and from your grasp. That is grounds for a mental institution for life or constant care from Dr Jom. Their meet in the future was really cute tho. Then the resolution at the ruins solved the modern day ache.
I didn't expect much and it stayed in that scheme so I was not disappointed. Would I recommend to watch, yes.

A perfect time-travel journey: artistry, chemistry, impeccable pacing, and pure BL heart.
Love upon a Time (ภพเธอ) is an absolute visual and emotional delight that solidifies the incredibly high bar that period dramas are setting for the genre. The series immerses us in a beautiful story about two souls trapped out of their own time, whose eternal love feels so real it transcends the screen.Visually, it’s a masterpiece thanks to Den Panuwat’s direction. The cinematography is gorgeous, every backdrop looks like a painting, and the costume design is meticulously detailed. But beyond its technical beauty, I found the way it addresses its context to be very brave. While I don’t know if homosexuality was well-received in Thailand 400 years ago, I deeply appreciate that the series shines a light on homophobia and the suffering of those who aren't accepted. It’s a necessary reminder that we should all be free to love whoever we want.
To my surprise, the show completely hooked me from the very first episode; there wasn't a single boring moment. It has a bit of everything: romance, tension, and mystery. It’s so well-written that it leaves no loose ends, featuring a perfect pace where every scene feels intentional and drives the story forward. The balance between humor and drama is impressive, with absolutely no unnecessary filler.
The heart of it all is, without a doubt, its cast:
Nett (Phop) is an incredibly talented actor. He fascinates me in every role he plays, and he is spectacular here; he has a brutal ability to convey a whole world of emotions with just a single glance.
JJ (Klao) makes the perfect partner for him and is utterly charming. Although his performance might seem a tad forced at first, he completely wins your heart in the end. His natural charm is captivating and his sense of humor is impeccable. As someone transported to a completely different era, his reactions of confusion and curiosity are both hilarious and endearing.
Latte (Jom) and Kim (Kaew) are the ideal complement. Kim is gorgeous and completely captivated me. Together, they make the perfect second couple, bringing a wonderful and highly enjoyable dynamic to the story.
This is definitely a series I will rewatch. If you haven't seen it yet, it is 100% worth checking out.

A Masterpiece Built on Talent, Brought to Life by Net & JJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the best work ever made in BL history. I loved every single second of this show. It's a masterpiece from start to finish. The story, acting, characters, music, and cinematography are all absolutely top-notch. Every episode had me completely hooked, and by the end, I was left wanting more. Now let's talk about Net and JJ because WOW. These two are the heart and soul of this series. Their chemistry is genuinely unreal. Every glance, touch, smile, and emotional moment felt so natural that they didn't just play characters in love—they made you believe in them. They stole every heartbeat of mine, and honestly, I still can't get enough of them.
I've been following Net for a long time, so I've always known how talented he is. I've always believed he's an incredible actor, but for years I felt like he was still waiting for the perfect partner—someone who could truly match his talent, challenge him, and elevate every scene. After watching Love Upon a Time, I can confidently say that person is JJ. No one comes close. JJ is, without a doubt, the best acting partner Net has ever had. Together, they bring out the absolute best in each other, and the result is pure magic on screen.
And then there's JJ. What an absolute revelation. What an actor. He made me laugh, cry, yearn, and fall in love right alongside him. Every emotion felt real. His performance as Klao/Nakhun was extraordinary, and I genuinely cannot imagine anyone else playing this role. He didn't just play the character—he became him. JJ has incredible screen presence, emotional depth, and versatility, and this role proved exactly why he is one of the most exciting actors in the industry right now.
The NC scenes and kisses are some of the best I've ever seen in a BL—not just because they're beautiful, but because they're filled with emotion and intimacy. Every moment between Net and JJ felt authentic, meaningful, and unforgettable.
I also want to appreciate all the side characters because everyone did an amazing job and helped make this story feel alive.
Love Upon a Time has set the bar so high that it'll be incredibly difficult for other shows to catch up. This is the kind of series that reminds you why you fell in love with BLs in the first place. A once-in-a-generation BL.
If this show, Net, and JJ don't sweep the awards this year, then I'll seriously have to question every award show out there.
10/10. A masterpiece. I don't think I'll ever be over this show.

War is Over
Nel senso che finalmente ho trovato una serie della DMD che mi è piaciuta. Come dire, basta leggere quello che ho scritto di DWY e di CP per capire il mio rapporto con quella casa di produzione (forever una GMMTV girlie). Detto ciò finalmente posso dire war is over perché ho finalmente trovato una serie a cui posso dare 10. Was this review helpful to you?
BEST SERIES OF 2026 AND BEST DMD SERIES EVER
this series blew me away. i really didn't have high expectations because i typically do not like DMD series all the way to the end but man, i was in love with luat all the way through. it never got boring, it never got too confusing, it never got too cringey, the chemistry was always there, the nc scenes were good, the acting was good, the story was interesting, the costumes and setting were good - just a 10/10 across the board. the only complaint i have is that there aren't more episodes!!i am sooo happy that they were in the past for a majority of the series. i was worried it was going to go back and forth but im glad they didn't do that. they really were only there in the very beginning, the end and when Nakhun was thinking back to his teacher's lecture about time travel. some people are saying they didn't care for the explanation of the time travel in the last episode but i liked it and it was very clear - i am not sure why some of you guys don't understand it. it is simple to understand. and i am usually the last person to comprehend time travel stuff.
anyways, i dont want to say too much - im just gonna say, please watch it! i never recommended a series more than i recommend this one. the story, the romance, the chemistry, the ending, its just all soooo good.

°-°
I honestly think that it was a really great series. The acting was great, and the chemistry between the actors was amazing. I’m hoping that in the future NetJJ and LatteKim will get more recognition because they both did an excellent job bringing their characters to life. Even though I don’t usually like BLs that involve past lives and time travel, I really enjoyed this one. The story kept me interested, and it was fun to watch. The emotional moments felt genuine, and the characters were easy to connect with. I also liked how the relationship developed naturally throughout the series. The production quality, soundtrack, and overall atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I really liked this series and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a BL with a great storyline, strong performances, and great chemistry between the leads.

A way to brighten up your day whilst your mind race with endless possibilities
This series has everything! The crew and cast understood are expectations and absolutely delivered. Everything felt natural from the acting to the settings. I was immersed from the very beginning and that says a lot because I usually drop a series on the first episode if it gets boring. This goes to show just how hard work gets acknowledged in the end. NETJJ, even though it's your first time as main leads, your acting gave me goosebumps. Chemistry is natural and Netjj is the perfect example of that. Was this review helpful to you?
