Ji Yong hides Shou Gu to keep her safe after Song Mo is imprisoned. Eunuch Wang gives Song Mo a hallucinogen that tortures him and keeps the poison already in his blood activated. Shou Gu's father, Dou Shi Ying, publicly cuts ties with his older brother, who is then used as a scapegoat by the Empress.
