Based on a true story…
I’d like to remind everyone watching that this whole show is based on a real case. So if you think it goes “overboard” in any way, remember that a real woman lived through that curling iron horror. That said… I think of the show as a whole, so instead of comparing the 2 seasons, I’ll be putting them together.
The FL’s revenge is near-perfect in its execution. Yes, she gets help from other people, but honestly she’s been alone for far too long. Also, it’s not as if everyone in the world is a psychopath without empathy, so of course normal/decent people will want to help her. The story unfolds very well, and I especially like how the other characters cause each others doom. It was set-up quite obviously if you watch the 2 seasons together. They were never real friends, always felt jealousy/anger towards each other. So it makes a lot of sense for them to turn on the next person. For Sa-ra, she was in withdrawal after not getting her drugs. For Yeon Jin’s mother, she was always that selfish and uncaring. They stayed true to all characterizations.
Shoutout to all the actors playing antagonists, they did an excellent job of making us hate them!
For our main leads, I love that the FL has hope and joy in her life finally! The ML’s storyline was kind of pointless, they should’ve just given background and left it at that. No need to show his detailed revenge as well. Honestly, I notice the same negative comments here that are on every kdrama with older actress/younger actor. Don’t pay any attention to those hypocrites I’d say. They love to watch shows where FL is younger and acts 5 with older mature MLs, but if you flip it they suddenly can’t “see the chemistry” anymore. Funny how that always happens in all such shows huh. For me, I liked both main male characters, they were amazing, and whoever the FL chooses is good for her!
Lastly -1 for the overdrawn plot. They keep stretching it to the point where I have to forwarded the unnecessary scenes. That could’ve been avoided, but overall one of the most satisfying revenge dramas out there!

Top tier revenge drama
I really loved this and watched the entire thing (parts 1 and 2) in a weekend. It’s a truly fantastic revenge drama that delivers on everything you want from the genre - the inciting incidents are brutal enough to put you firmly on the side of vengeance, the villains are interesting and insidiously evil enough to make their eventual comeuppance satisfying, the reveals are well-paced and add new layers of nuance, the plot reaches a solid conclusion that feels right, and they even manage to make a romance work amongst the carnage. One of my favorite things about the story is how openly the revenge game is played. Dong Eun tells them all along that she will make them pay for what they did to her, warning them over and over again that she’s serious and she has put the time in to get what she needs to ruin their lives, and even gives them additional chances to atone and confess on their own before she puts things in motion. And she never resorts to committing any horrific violence herself. Every single person who stands to lose something was given fair warning and it’s their own hubris and defiant belief that they can get away with anything they please that ultimately brings them down. That’s just extremely satisfying from a storytelling perspective.
There were a few things here and there that were not perfect - some of the coincidences were a bit much and I wasn’t too fond of the subplots with the two male teachers - but those are very minor quibbles. Highly recommended and great for a binge watch.

Revenge but she kept her hands clean
I really enjoyed the entire show. The writing definitely could've been better. They explain somethings through flashbacks but context is lacking.Luckily whoever was in casting hit a home run. The acting was a 10. The first half was a slow burn and the second half wasn't much faster. But every single episode the acting was amazing.
I kept thinking to myself where are the police? Why are they only questioning the FL??? Another writing hole.
With how amazing the casting was it could've made the writing look less than. Maybe I'm nitpicking. I still highly recommend if you enjoy a good revenge plot.

Satisfied Revenge
Bullying is something very common nowadays. Many teenagers, kids, even adults face bullying. It has become a trend to bully someone nowadays to look cool. Most K-Dramas that I saw have high school bullying. I don't know if it actually happens in high schools in the country as well. I feel so scared for this generation or the next generation to come that they'll be facing bullying so much. The person who is at fault is mostly the people around who see everything but do nothing & sometimes don't even trust us. We should take a good look at our kids, siblings & friends if they're being bullied or not. If we take one step, we can help them.I loved part 2 the most. A very satisfying ending of 5. The most satisfying part is when Kang Hyun Nam slapped Park Yeon Jin.
The people who suffered most are Park Yeon Jin & Choi Hye Jeong. They both lost something that was precious to them. Choi Hye Jeong lost her career & her voice. On the other hand, Park Yeon Jin lost everything: her husband, daughter, mother & career. The most satisfying ending of all is Park Yeon Jin's. She was abandoned by everything. That's the most painful punishment, more than death, losing something that you love.
I agree that Moon Dong Eun doesn't have to do much. But the things she did or the way she manipulated their lives were enough for them to ruin themselves. They were never true friends to begin with. That was the biggest reason why it was so easy to incite them against each other. In the end, they destroy each other.
Loved how Joo Yeo Jung made an effort to make Moon Dong Eun happy. It was cute when he came running to hug her.
I might be wrong, but the last scene hints at S3.

Slow
The first half of The Glory came at a very slow pace. I thought the second half would pick up but it continued to be slow as well.At first the main FL came off as a stalker to me. The way she talked about her tormentor didn't sit well with me. Yeah, they really captured the most heinous bullying ever but I wish there was a stronger sense of revenge than there already was.
I thought the main FL was going to pick off her tormentors one by one but they got off truly light. The second FL who was the main bully didn't get enough 'just deserts' for me. I don't know what I was expecting but I wasn't expecting a slow mediocre burn.
I didn't feel any sympathy for the main FL because in my opinion if you can't at least pick up an object and use it then you deserve what you get. How on earth could these people who got bullied not stand up for themselves?? I was expecting them to rally together and do what needed to be done. Again, it didn't happen. Some of the tormentors got off light, some were helped and in the end two were forgotten.
I did however love Ms. Kang and her small justice in the end.
The last episode as usual was a let down for me. There was too much unnecessary stuff going on. I wanted to see the guy who killed that doctor get what he deserved but it barely happened.
The way it ended made me wonder if they're going to do another sequel. If they do I hope it'll be stronger than what I just watched.

The Glory 2
The Glory Part 2 doesn’t change the tone of the story—it **deepens it**. If Part 1 was about enduring pain, Part 2 is about watching that pain finally echo back to the people who caused it. Quietly. Ruthlessly. Inevitably. This season is where Moon Dong-eun’s long, frozen patience pays off. The revenge isn’t explosive or dramatic; it’s methodical, almost surgical. Every move feels earned because we’ve already lived through her suffering. Song Hye-kyo is even more haunting here—her calm is terrifying, not because she’s cruel, but because she has nothing left to lose. Her character never asks for sympathy, and the drama never forces redemption where it doesn’t belong.
The villains begin to crack, and that’s where Part 2 shines. Their downfall isn’t sudden; it’s psychological. Guilt, paranoia, and fear slowly consume them, proving that the past doesn’t stay buried—especially when no one ever took responsibility for it. The show refuses to soften its stance on bullying and abuse, and that honesty makes the payoff feel heavy rather than triumphant.
What’s especially powerful is how *The Glory 2* treats justice. It isn’t clean. It doesn’t heal everything. Dong-eun doesn’t magically become whole again—but she finally gets her life back on her own terms. The drama understands that revenge doesn’t erase trauma, it simply closes a door that was left open too long.
By the end, *The Glory Part 2* feels less like a victory and more like an ending that had to happen. Cold, painful, and necessary.
It doesn’t glorify revenge—it shows why some wounds refuse to stay silent.

Excellent Part 1, Unsatisfying part 2
Story: I feel like part 1 set us up really well and made it seem like there would be a long, well drawn out and elaborately satisfying revenge. Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun kept on hinting at what she would do, however; I don't feel like part 2 lived up to the hype of part 1.Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun was absolutely tortured during her younger days, so I feel like the perpetrators did not receive the same amount of punishment. Even ruining their careers, public image is not effective because they could easily get it back with some money, influence and connections, which they all have. I feel like the perpetrators did not feel the same pain as Song Hye Kyo/Moon Dong Eun. Tbh, the deaths of some of the perpetrators meant that they could never fully repent and atone for their harm done to others, so I feel like that punishment was an easier way out for them.
Acting: This is by far Song Hye Kyo career best performance. She was utterly convincing in showing the deepest and darkest sides of someone who is solely living to exact revenge on her perpetrators. You root for her all the way, but also feel sorry for her that she was tortured and is now living her life just to bring about justice. She also showed great character growth and development by slowly allowing for feelings other than hatred and anger, as she slowly allowed for some love and light into her life. This gives a message that there is hope to live a good life and to look forward to the future, no matter what we have endured in the past. Brilliant acting from all the cast, the perpetrators acted superbly without shame, never holding back their terrible nature. The supporting cast really made you emotionally invested in the story and in seeing justice prevail.
Overall, a solid production that had some excellent moments. Unfortunately I finished the drama feeling so unsatisfied after seeing everything that the perpetrators put the FL and other victims through. Another unsatisfying end to a kdrama with so much potential.

The Glory – 10/10
This drama had me hooked from start to finish. The revenge? Absolutely satisfying. Every single thing was planned so well, and I loved how calculated and patient Dong-eun was. She didn’t just want revenge—she wanted justice, and she made sure they felt every bit of what they did to her. Slow, painful, and absolutely deserved.Every character had depth, and even the villains were so well-written that I hated them with my whole soul. Yeon-jin? Pure evil, but an amazing character. Every time she got cornered, I felt pure satisfaction. And don’t even get me started on Jae Jun and Sa Ra—I was counting down the seconds until they got what was coming to them.
But what really stuck with me was Yeo Jung’s revenge. His pain was just as deep as Dong-eun’s, and the way he stayed by her side, waiting for his turn, was insane. He was sweet, kind, and gentle with her, but when it came to his own revenge, you could see how dark and broken he was. And I loved that. I just wish we got to see more. His revenge had so much buildup, and while it was satisfying, I needed another season to see him fully unleash all of that rage.
The cinematography, the OST, the acting— all top-tier. Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun were incredible. Their dynamic was so well done because it wasn’t just romance—it was two broken people choosing each other and walking through hell together.
I just wish we had gotten one more season to fully see Yeo-jung’s revenge play out. He deserved that closure just as much as Dong-eun. But even with that, this was one of the best revenge dramas ever.

As expected I didn't quite get all the details after having that forced break from part I. But I remembered enough to get into the story again. Thank god.
And I still love the whole story. The concept, the storytelling, everything was well planned, well written and played out almost perfectly. I loved the methods the FL used to get her revenge, the people she approached, the way she made them dance at her tune and how everything was slowly unraveled. The characters were well crafted and every actor/actress did a great job with their performing, because it made the story so much more enjoyable.
I don't know why but the husband got some special attention from me. I just wanted to hug him all the time. At the same time he had a strong demeanour which attracted me quite alot, and it only slowly crumbled piece by piece. I really liked his encounters with the FL and it's a pity, that he didn't get more screentime. The only thing I couldn't agree with was his last act. That just didn't fit his character and would have been better to be left out.
The ML was also some interesting character. Being the headsman of the FL worked well despite his bright personality most of the time. Though I do think that the actor could have put some more darkness into his ego, make him more branded. The one thing I couldn't comprehend at all was the love story. It felt forced, I didn't feel the passion. Every bit of intimacy felt out of place, even though I liked the concept of them supporting and using each other.
Definitely something worth re-watching.

Such a thrilling show,
This is my first ever review on this website and i highly recommend the glory to anybody who loves revenge, mystery and thriller. I was very hesitant about watching this show and i would forget my memory to watch it again. This show kept me hooked till the very end. I love how the villains's lives were also portraited as much as the main leads lives. Two of the villains specifically had amazing chemistry and i would love to see them again in another show. Also the romance was kept minimal which i appreciate very much. Song hye kyo and lim ji yeon killed here. I've become a huge fan of them. However i must say this show was a bit confusing at times for example some scenes didnt give proper answers to the previous ones and some questions were kept unanswered. If you get scared easily and bullying/ violence is not your thing then i would say this show might not be for you but overall i think its a beautifully produced and directed show even though i think it would've been better if the main fl punished her bullies with her own hands.
If you want to watch this show or have been thinking about watching it then trust me go watch it rn you wont regret it at all. Its the perfect time to watch the glory now as its November and the glory goes so well wih this weather.
Thanks for reading my review. I hope this helped make up your mind. Have a wondeful day bye ♡
