Both involve FLs who see ghosts. Both stories also involve FL & ML solving ghost's past and resolving their unfinished business/grudges.
In SSW thought the FL only really sees one main ghost and it's mainly because that ghost can also possess her body. Think of Cinderella if a ghost could possess her body type of story.
TG is more about a girl that can see ghosts, but she sees visions of this one ghost while working on ML's home; which she and him then try to help by looking into her past. She can also sometimes predict people's deaths.
