Restored Balance through a Renewed Fate

This revenge romance thrill ride hinges moreso on awareness in creating a fair balance against those who have manipulative and distructive schemes. The leads and supporting cast were wonderful in conveying such a layered ebb and flow of tension and emotional impact. Soo Mins character was noteworthy and memorable. Ji Wons character was iconic. The performances were not assumptive or tropie. The chemistry between the leads felt destined which was heartfelt and compassionate. The edge that the writers brought in through subtle twists made every minute and the redemption end satisfying. It was cinematically brilliant at points that mattered most. Well Done, cast, crew and production!!! THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

Romance is A Bonus, Second Half Mess is A Destiny

Marry My Husband. The title seems intimidating. At first, I was thinking that I may get a story full of intriguing and complex marriage. It isn't wrong though. However, the writer packs the story so well that makes it lightweight and easy to watch, yet not missing out the point. The lead Kang Ji-Won gets a second chance to fix his miserable marriage and life. Park Min-Young does a savage job in this role. She takes us into the journey of her second life. We already know the ending, and now she comes prepared. But everytime she does something, she always makes us guess: Will she cause a better outcome? Will the ending change? She brings us into this circle and makes us keep wanting to see the outcomes more and more. We keep wondering, will the villain suddenly regret? And the answer is always a no. Yi-Kyung and Ha-Yoon potray these villains excellently. They all seem innocent from the surface, but once an evil will always be and evil. It may need to take a life for people to change, but going through everything only make them more and more vicious. It is all a really enjoyable story... until the writer stupidly adds Yu-Ra in.

The addition of Yu-Ra is no difference than hopelessly adding a serial killer to a romance story. The stories around her seem hyperbolic and unreasonable even in this kind of fantasy genre. The way she messes up with Su-Min's family does not make sense. Same thing with the threat to Eun-Ho. How does he come into her mind? Eun-Ho barely knows Ji-Hyuk! It is just like a hopeless premises that need to be added for the sake of episodes number. Like there is a straight road, but they decided to take a turn to an unpleasant gravelly path. This show might be better if they focus on the main goal and packed into 12 or 14 episodes.

The overall story is pretty good. Although I think Ji-Won should push Ji-Hyuk more to find out his goal. Because she knows that the reason she get the second chance is to get a revenge, so there must be a reason for Ji-Hyuk too. However, Ji-Hyuk always reluctants to discuss about it. And everytime that happens, Ji-Won annoyingly just gets over it easily. The story then hit by a hurricane, again, after Yu-Ra appears. Every character suddenly has a sixth sense, as they all know other people's secrets and what other people are planning.

On top of that, this is a really good show since it is kinda easy-to-watch. It tells us not to be blinded by other people try to sugarcoat everything in front of you. You need to be more cautious, take a step back, see clearly and look wider. When you feel betrayed, fight it. For me, this show is categorized under incorrect genre: it is more like a thriller. Romance? It is a bonus!

The best time travel drama you will find

It's been a while that I found all korean drams more from the same. Most of them start really good and then goes downhill. But this one is.... a very surprinsingly execption. I was hooked from the day one until the last one. I didn't skip a single scene and I was counting the days to a new episode. And it's been a huge while since I've been like that from the beginning to the end. Why I'm saying this? Well, look around, you will see a lot of comments saying the same and this website is full of people criticizing a drama! That alone says a lot about this drama.

Okay, now that I talked about my impressions of this drama let's get to the real review and the reason on why this is pproblably the best time travel drama.

1) Plot. Although is a very "common" plot in Korea dramas nowadays, this one has a very good execution all the way until the end. The reason for that is simple: it sticks a lot to the webtoon, so besides some execeptions the director doesn't try to change a lot or mix things. So, since the webtoon had a good execution. The drama is as well. I feel like the writers were really careful in trying to stay loyalty to the webtoon. Kudos for them because it turned out very well because of it.

2) Cast. Well, what can I say about them? I think is no surprising that Park Min Young is a good actress, but jesus. I think in this drama Park Min Young set the bar high to even herself. I mean, the girl really nailed! I was so surprised by how good she was in this drama that I even paused for a second trying to understand because I didn't know she was THAT GOOD. Her chemistry with ML was good as well. The actor that played the ML was good, however I may confess I don't have much to say. But not because he didn't make a good job, is just that the others were so impressed that I wasn't so excited for the ML (or even with the romance aspect, even if they did a good job and the couple was amazing).

Saying that, I can't talk about cast without mentioning Lee Yi Kyung, who was amazing as well and stole the spotlight many times making you hate him a lot. But most of all, I couldn't talk about casting without talking about Song Ha Yoon. Someone, please, bring her an OSCAR! She was brilliant! Her scenes were incrediable and the way she portrayed the character was exactly what you would image for Soo Min! On top of it, her chemistry with Park Min Young was amazing, the scenes itself were the best in the whole drama. Really, this girl should have more lead roles in the future.

3) Music was good. But what I liked the most about the musics is that they knew exactly when and where to play it. So, the music didn't sound too repetitive or too out of nowhere just for the sake of it. Not much to say, but personally I liked a lot. Also, the scene where they discouver their identities with BTS song and then we had BTS playing was really cool. I don't like Kpop, but I found it very nice from them to use it.

4) Rewatch value? Personally I don't like to rewatch dramas, but if you are looking for something to rewatch, this one mighht be a good option.

5) Main characters and their relation - Let's just say that will end up feeling like you want something like this in your life. What MC does to FL is something that every person would dream of. He is literally perfect.

Bonus: There is no loose ends and the final episode end everything well without rushing it.

Side note: I wish they had developed one couple like the webtoon did.

Just what I was waiting for!

After a slew of really disappointing dramas, I was just waiting for that one show that will shake it all up and that was this one for me.

I was intrigued by the premise and was completely hooked by the end of episode one. I know some people love the larger than life characters but I love the quiet unassuming ones best, and this drama delivered that with the two leads. I sensed the zing with them from the very first interaction on the drama and it continued throughout. Some may call it boring, for me this is exactly what I love. I loved Soundtrack #2 for the same reasons.

I did wonder how the plot would keep moving once certain milestones were reached, and the curve ball was a surprise- though there are plenty of cliches in this show… I certainly think its been a while since I’ve seen a white truck of doom so I guess Korea is not ready to be done with that trope yet lol.

The sponsors were so overly obvious lol and I kept thinking bro come on, you can do your sponsorship job just as well, in fact better, by just being in the scene, no need to be so obnoxious!! Oh this Kopiko it tastes like real coffee and it will keep me awake 🤣🤣🤣times by a thousand hahaha.

The music was fairly low key, I mean if you are not paying attention you’ll not even notice it. There were the occasional piano pieces that were giving Crash Landing OST vibes, which was lovely.

Overall I was hooked on this from day one, I feel in love with the main couple - sometimes you see very rigid acting from PMY but I truly felt like she and NIW were very comfortable in these roles. So sweet!

I enjoyed it, on rewatch theres plenty of scenes I’d skip esp the obnoxious you know who who really isn’t even that attractive. I always wonder why money seems to make some people think they are Gods gift to society, cos it certainly wasn’t her appearance in this show. Though behavior/personality can make even a good looking person ugly.

A great show! So glad we had something to rectify the disasters being streamed on Netflix these days.

Best drama of 2024 so far

I just can't even begin to say how fantastic this drama was. The entire cast from villians to the main characters were one of the best line ups I have ever seen. The twists and turns as this drama unfolded kept me coming back for more. Dramas in 2024 after this will have a lot to live up to. I could watch this one again and again!!!

one of the best shows hands down

i had put off this show for so long bc it felt too interesting to start, but i decided to watch it and it did not disappoint. y'all i'm so glad that she got a second chance to live bc i would've fought someone if she didn't. she definitely took that chance and ran w it fr. usually i don't feel like a proud mother bc of dramas but this one made me feel like i was watching her grow up!! her revenge made me feel so much satisfaction bc sumin and min whan were so cruel to her and she didn't deserve any of that. i'm also so glad that she found ji hyuk as her new man bc he is a walking green flag. that man is a straight up yearner and yk who ate that up (me). i swear he looked like he wanted that cookie every 2 seconds and thats what i love abt his actor, his face expressions are so perfect!! like lets say that hes tryna be serious, ATE DOWN!! if he gotta be baby like, NO PROBBB!! he was also a little shameless and it made me so smiley like ji won. eunho and hui yeon are so CUTEEEE OMGGG!! he was so nervy around her and i ate that up as well. i'm glad they kept him around bc he is such a sweetie and so is hui yeon! okay ngl ji hyuk looked better with his glasses 💔.. anyway i won't spoil the whole show but definitely life changing!! 10/10!!

A RACE AGAINST FATE.....

A race against fate....a race against changing for the better, a journey full of healing and self reflection, a fight against your old self...all these can be used to describe marry my husband.

Marry my husband was that drama that won me over in terms of story telling with the consistency displayed and then with the relatable and diverse and complex characters and then the amazing acting displayed by every one in their own right.

The natural and unforced chemistry between th leads accompanying their beautiful and heartwarming story....

This drama will receive a full score for me because it kept me entertained all throughout....it gave me a sense of connectivity to both the story and the characters.

The ending was so beautiful and heartwarming and emotional and satisfying and amazing and poetic and I can use a million words to describe it.

The emotional and we'll thought out dialogue was also a major strength to this drama.

It has been a roller coaster ride of emotions and Iam glad to see everything being wrapped up beautifully at the end.

Marry my husband is my first kdrama of 2024 and definitely an unforgettable one....it was HOME.💜 Iam gonna miss my home

WOW!

What a great, great series! The story is absolutely brilliant. The actors are phenomenal and have great chemistry. I don't even remember the music (sorry) because I was so enthralled in what was happening.

I plan to watch a second time because I am sure there are things I missed the first time.

I appreciated the attention to detail in each scene. It truly made me deal with big emotions - deep sadness, tears, firey anger, and the thrill of revenge.

I highly recommend this series. It's a definite watch!!!

Feminine rage, revenge and karma

This drama is based on the webtoon by the same name but there are a few differences. It follows Kang Ji Won who is sent back ten years into the past after being betrayed by her husband and best friend. When she finds herself in 2013, she decides to change her fate but finds out that what once happened, needs to happen again in some form or another. The story is quite well-paced, but there are a few details that felt unnecessary; just some drama that felt like it was added so that the creators could reach the 16 episode mark. A few details were different from the webtoon, which was a little annoying like the fact an entire character was introduced into the drama while another one was never shown.

I've been a fan of Park Min Young's dramas for a few years so of course, I was happy to see her in this one. She did a very good job of getting you to root for Kang Ji Won. I found myself cheering her on, hoping she would get her revenge. Na In Woo does such a good job of playing the supportive male lead that will do anything for her. The two made such an adorable couple in this drama. Lee Yi Kyung, who plays Park Min Hwan (Kang Ji Won's boyfriend/2023 husband) did such a good job of playing such a trash person. Wow, I've seen him in other dramas but god, I hated his character in this. Song Ha Yoon, who plays Jung Soo Min (Kang Ji Won's horrible best friend) was so convincing as a psychotic unhinged person. I don't think I have seen her in anything else but damn, her character was so hateful in this!

I don't usually rewatch a drama unless it is one of my ultimate favourites like 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' but I think I may rewatch this in the future. The main couple are just so cute together! I also would enjoy going back and seeing all the things that were different because Kang Ji Won went back in time.

If you are looking for a cute romance, satisfying revenge, unhinged characters, and time travel, then this is the drama for you.

If you're given a second chance, don't run from it, SEIZE IT!

Hello readers!!
If you've been watching edits on your TLs of any platform, I suggest you bag it and actually watch this series because I can never express how I felt from ep1-16.
Marry My Husband is the adaptation of a webtoon of the same name and there are contexts of marriage, cheater scumbags and teenie tinie love triangle that was so perfectly dodged. Must I say the fantasy adds so much meaning to the storyline. The overall philosophy of adulting, work-life balance, friendships, judgements of characters and karma is too perfect
Personally the negative characters ate too good with their roles. It'll forever scar me to see them in a positive light which is the beauty and trademark of the drama.

While it may not be everyones cup of tea personally I mark this drama as probably the best kdrama of this year alone and once you're watching it, you'll see it for yourself!!

The Perfect Revenge

This drama didn't disappoint me from the start to the end! But ofc i was so nervous and angry because of characters like Min Hwan & Soo Min ●__●
Anyway, Loveeed it .
I want to review it in a few points:
1- every episode was full of emotions and i loved to watch Kang Ji Won raise up for herself, making some real friends, and fighting for her life.

2- every girl needs her Ji Hyuk ! What a safe place you are ㅠㅠ he was really there for her.

3- the chef and the foodie girl ( Eun Ho and Hee Yeon) were a great energetic couple, i wanted to see more of them. So cute !!

4- How charming is the lawyer : Lee Suk Joon ( ahh one of my fav men in this drama)

5- The acting was amazing, i think everyone in this cast did a great job, so well done.

6- i love how they took the wedding photos so seriously hehe, it was so elegant that you might believe it's a real wedding.

7- the perfect drama if you are bored.

I don't know why i see many negative comments from the web novel readers, so let me tell you as a reader, it's okay if tge novel and the adopted work art not the same, it's not supposed to be a copy, so enjoy them both and stop being so serious ♡
