Been there, done that!

So, I can safely say that, as far as MMY series, or MAME's stories are concerned, they are more or less plotless. Starting from TharnType(spectacularly redeemed by Mew and Gulf's scorching chemistry) to Don't Say No(JaFirst were so cutely enamoured with each other) to Love In The Air(Masterclass in kissing), Wedding Plan does not fail to keep up with it's brethren. However, Wedding Plan is the louder, cringier and more annoying version of the above mentioned series. I found it so hard to believe some parts of it that I almost gave up.
I understand parents, I understand traditions, I understand expectations, I also understand that it is sometimes tough to live up to all three, but a long, convoluted and unnecessary plan like this not only was likely to hurt the couple involved (Sailom and Yiwa), but also their partners (Nuea and Marine respectively).
Although the plan is originally Yiwa's the fact that Sailom went through with it, was absolutely ridiculous, especially since he had met Nuea, considering that Marine knew about the plan, but he did not.
Yiwa and Marine, both pushed and permitted Lom to tell Nuea the truth, but he chose to continually prank Nuea, which made them finally coming together quite unbelievable.
I will mention some of the things I liked.
1. Sunny and Pak have pretty decent chemistry, which comes across in the interactions between Som and Nuea.
2. I loved the relationship between Nuea and his family. I have always noticed that people in the provinces are more open and accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, unlike people from the capital.
3. It is the first time I have seen a boss who is so friendly as well as supportive, and I liked that very much, the way she stood upto Lom, when he came to look for Nuea. She defended her employee very well I must say.
4. I also liked the fact that most of MAME's series have such sassy 'bottoms', who never bqcked put of standing up for themseves.
5. The PrapaixSky wedding (although the English vows were a bit much) and the PhayuxRain proposal (the sparkling eyes, the quivering lips, the absolute trust and love that these two have for each other is worthy of a few pages worth of reviews)

What I did not like at all:
1. The crappiest plan of all . It was annoying and pointless.
2. The noisiest and the most horrible and most difficult mothers. If Type's father was a nuisance, then these two were out of orbit, with their screaming and childish tantrums.
3. Yiwa and Marine had sweet moments, but they were sadly not believable. I didn't feel any passion or chemistry.
4. After watching MAME's series, hot scenes are a thing, but LITA took them to another level (Boss and Noeul's tongue lick is one of my most vivid memories, that is going to live in my head rent-free forever!), so Wedding Plan falls a bit flat. I will not say, it's not hot, but....(I think you will understand)

So, all in all, while I will say you can watch it once, if not for anything else but the incredibly good looking people around. But if you are expecting a classic like TharnType, an emotional rollercoaster like Don't Say No or a masterpiece like LITA, then this one is definitely not for you. Move on and get a life... Or better, do what I did,. Read a LITA fanfic on Wattpad!! :D

Its Cute

I mean I liked it. I understand there is some flaw in the storyline but Im willing to overlook it because i loved Namnuea and Loms chemistry so much. If Sunny and Pak are in another BL together, i would watch it for sure. I would say watch it once and form your own opinion. I dont feel like I wasted my time watching it though i know there are much better BLs out there. And if you have seen Love in the Air, you'll get to see Payu, Rain, Sky, and Prapai breify. So I guess you can consider it a sequal.

made it work

starting of drama is slightly wonky but i get why it was needed, but I believe that with the collaboration of a few more writers the storyline would be a little less problematic(?) like the synopsis makes it’s obvious that this is a story worth making but the storyline itself is questionable yet intriguing enough to want to watch the show till the end.

otherwise, the series excels in its scenes, cinematography, and music. The actors truly brought depth to their roles, which played a pivotal role in keeping me engaged despite some morally questionable moments. The authenticity of their performances, from subtle eyebrow raises to genuine smiles, was captivating. Unlike many dramas, the crying scenes didn't come off as contrived or forced.

Additionally, the cast, including the leads, are undeniably attractive, which added to the overall appeal of the series.

holy also the last two episodes are so heartwarming i loved them. all of actors brought immense justice to the character they played

cute yes
heart string tugged: defo i dont write reviews unless every heart string is pulled to the point i need to profess it every possible where

The first Memindy show I’ve ever enjoyed watching

I’m not a fan of Meminy shows. They never get me… This show was pretty good tho. It had some potential but it wasn’t bad. Even tho I don’t like Love in the Air, I would’ve enjoyed it if they gave PrapaiSky and PhayuRain a bit more screentime. Same for the lesbian couple (I forgot their names). The actors of the two main character had such good chemistry and their acting was so good. The show was also made very nicely. I’m not an expert but this show was pretty addicting just because of the cinematic (if that’s a correct english sentence 😭). I enjoyed watching it while it was airing but I don’t think I would rewatch it.

It's better because it is only 7 episodes

*happy ending for both couples*

Firstly, i liked the flow of the story. Mame does not disappoint in this regard. The NC scenes and plotline flowed naturally for a 7-episode series. However, I think the NC scenes are too thirsty? They are sooo rushed that I felt they are more lusty than in love.
The actors' acting also needs improvement. I felt throughout the series that they only have one to two expressions. A weird smile and a talkative persona as if the script is memorized.

Liked how the plan went smoothly as it does not sit well with me if they continued with the marry plot thing. I just think that it was necessary as there really are some parents who needs those heavy measures to help finally understand their children.

This is a cute series, but definitely not one of Mame's best. Still, better than tharntype though. Hoping to hear more on the main couple and see more improvement from them.

Another BL With NO Communication!

The idea behind this series is creative, original, and noteworthy. And its execution has elements of brilliance, poignancy, and also agonizing frustration that in a few spots I threw a proverbial rock at the screen. Why? Because it is the same issue over and over in these series, especially Thai BL series. COMMUNICATION! To be more precise, exchanging information in a clear and precise manner forthrightly. If this had been done near the beginning of this story, we could have had a real classic on our hands. Instead, it became yet again another ‘safe’ Thai BL series with a good premise but less than memorable delivery and a whole lot more angst than is absolutely necessary.
You can read my full review of this series at BLBliss.com.

I hated the homewrecker vibes!!

Some may call it romantic – Sailom makes plans to get closer to the guy he likes, and pursues him via these different (planned) encounters. But you can also think of it this way – it’s quite creepy for someone to pursue their wedding planner??

The bulk of the first few episodes is Nuea desperately trying to get the couple – who are clearly not interested in marrying each other – to provide him with all the information he needs to plan their dream wedding.

Nuea, who is hopelessly attracted to Sailom, is faced with an uphill battle: 1) Plan a wedding for 2 people who have no idea (and possibly don’t quite care about) what they want, 2) DON’T FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEBODY ELSE’S TO-BE HUSBAND.

I wish the plot didn’t involve an elaborate lie just so I could properly enjoy the budding relationship between Lom and Nuea. Especially since the chemistry between Nuea and Lom was pure fire.

First Bl

Well this is my first Bl and tbh this series diden't disappointed me at all. Well their acting was very good. But the side couple I think they're very dramatic and kinda over over. Tbh i really felt annoyed cuz of them.
The story was kinda good. Not that bad. I think the music made the series aesthetic.
I love the friend circle the most. They Were there when bottom main lead was at lowest. God wish could find some frnd like them.
Beside his family members were very Understanding. And open minded. I mean he liked a man but his family said nothing to him but were supporting him. It's really great to think abt it.
Overall this series is not that bad. Well honestly as It was my first bl i really like it alot.

Good idea, bad execution

I'm going to preface this by clarifying that I'm not a fan of Mame's shows, but I liked loving the air and I knew both shows were in the same universe, so I wanted to give this show a try. I would say that the first two episodes are very well done, they look very promising and I enjoyed them a lot. Now, after this, the development of the story becomes a little bit messy for my liking, especially because the way that the issue of the fake marriage gets "resolved " could've been done way better (and way sooner). In repeated occasions I found myself wondering why Lom wasn't being honest with Nuea; that would've saved them way more time, and would've given more space to show how their relasionship developed. Maybe this is a personal interpretation of the show, but by the end of it I still didn't know how the couple got together without knowing practically anything about each other...
Lastly, the actors are playing the main couple have good chemistry and look good together, but at the same time I feel like there's something off. I still can't pinpoint What it was, but there was a spark missing when they were being lovey-dovey on screen. To me, a good acting is when the actors make me believe 100% the characters love each other to the moon and back, and here I could see that they were trying very hard to do so, but there was something missing.

About the good parts, the side couple was really lovely and I enjoyed everytime they appeared on screen. The wedding planners were a family, and I loved how one of them was fiercely protecting Nuea. Although Lom's family wasn't the best, Nuea's was supporting enough for both of them.
Oh and my favorite part, the LITA cameos were amazing and had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout those 5 minutes of screentime they had.

Overall, it was an entertaining show and something nice to watch if you have free time to spare, but it's not one of my go-to recommendations.

I have to say, I didn't expect to like this series THAT much. It's a silly plot... but it's amazing, adorable and so funny.

As I said, it's a silly plot, but it works because they didn't try to make it look like it wasn't. It's silly, and that's it! I love Nuea a lot, he was so cute and had such a good heart. And he was so funny. About Lom, he was a little... I understand his reasons but I think that he chose the worst way to do things. But it's a series so makes sense...

About the acting, Pak (Nuea) was good. He is exactly what Nuea has to be: cute and funny. Sunny (Lom) it's charming like a drama protagonist and it's exactly what his characters need. Aya (Yiwa) also did a good job. My problem is with Kate (Marine). She's so fucking bad. Every single scene with her was emotionless. Seriously. I know that it's her first acting gig, but still... Damn. It was annoying.

The ending was cute too, overall, it's a good series to watch :)

Peek in on LITA

If you loved LITA, you'll enjoy the peeks of PayuRain and PaiSky. This was a lil more romcomish than LITA though. I mean, the one Mom with her helmet hair alone!

You'll may also enjoy that the two leads make some of the same facial expressions of the LITA stars.

I loathed the "cheating" aspect but I was able to move pass the manipulation of Payu and the stalking of Pai so I was able to move pass the cheating too.

I liked it well enough to binge it all in one sitting.

I would love to see more from these actors as well as see a complete romcom of SunRay.

It was nice

Just like most Thai BLs the story and acting is not very deep or especially thought trough.
But i did like it.

First, the positive things:
- The LITA characters. I was so exited when they appeared and they were the reason why i found this series in the first place.
It was nice to see their stories conclude with such a pretty wedding and engagement.
- In the first episode we see Namnuea observe couples in the mc restaurant. Him having this observation skill/hobby was a really nice touch considering he works with couples. Sadly they didnt really use that throughout the whole series.
- I personally really like the Intro. The music, the aesthetic the colors and collage art was so interesting!
- There are not many GL dramas, so i liked that they included a lesbian couple (They could have done so much more with them tho...)
- i think Lom wasnt the typical stoic, characterless and mean CEO type of guy (especially in the last episodes he was very golden retriver-like)
- there were spicy NC scenes but not too much and too intense
I think the writers and director found a nice balance
- ep 6 had a really nice message and actually touched my heart(struggles of lgbtq, conservative thinking of Loms and Yiwas parents, etc)
- the male actors had chemistry and were good actors (i suspected it was their first drama, but they did a good job)
- i liked the end. It all worked out but it was no forced "everyone is happy and married" last episode.

Now the negatives:
- The series has the usual basic thai BL humor: you either like it or you dont (i dont but they didnt have any forced, stereotypical Trans people so that was nice)
- During the first episodes it was difficult for me to like Lom at times because he kept giving Nuea mixed signals. It was just frustating because he could have hinted at it without "exposing" Yiwas and his sceme.
He was just a cheating, lying and horny bastard in Nueas eyes and it could have been resolved soooo easily...

In the end, it's a drama. It was frustrating but still fun and cute.
On youtube and tiktok, Wedding Plan the series didnt seem super popular (and i get why) and i think it got what its worth.

A rather average drama. But what can I say...
I enjoyed it.
