Both dramas share a lot of DNA:
- **Same leading man** — Li Xian stars in both, playing a grounded, small-town love interest opposite a career-driven woman going through a hard time.
- **Loss as the catalyst** — Hong Dou (Meet Yourself) is grieving her best friend's death; Zhuang Jie (Will Love in Spring) is recovering from a disabling car accident. Both heroines leave their old lives behind to heal.
- **Healing over plot twists** — Neither show leans on melodrama. They're slow, character-driven "healing dramas" more interested in emotional growth than dramatic conflict.
- **Small-town setting with a found family** — Both send the female lead to a close-knit hometown/village, complete with a warm, meddling grandmother figure who adores Li Xian's character.
- **Slow-burn romance** — The love story simmers gently in the background rather than driving the plot, building through everyday moments instead of big declarations.
- **Real-life themes** — Both tackle burnout, grief, and rebuilding a sense of purpose, which is part of why viewers describe them as comforting rather than escapist.

The couple chemistry is similar to Lighter& Princess. The ML appears cold but the FL knows him. They understand each other. The leads make it real. Just like in Lighter & Princess, the chemistry between the leads is amazing the point it makes it real. It feels natural and believable.

Romantic dramas with handsome and talented leads for those that enjoy beautiful cinematography, healing romantic dramas with great scripts, acting and give a warm cup of tea during a cold day or a refreshing one during summer.
Healing and relaxing mood,
both about a romance between a woman and man in 30s.

When watching Will love in Spring, it kept reminding me of another chinese drama which Fake it till you make it is an easy going drama with amazing chemsitry and romance has similar vibes.
Both dramas feature the slice of life genre with a warm, rich cast where even the ensemble roles are lovingly developed. Both feature romance, especially romance between reunited childhood friends. Cinematography features warm colors and intimate shots. Mix between emotional and soothing OSTs. Both are feel good shows.
