The Atypical Family

Both are Timetravel-Mystery Romance dramas,
similar serious melo mood, but not too heavy.

Adult romances.

The Atypical Family also has the psychological genre too, while My Deepest Dream is more mystery-romance.

Beautiful athmospheres and directing in both.

Both are time travel dramas where the main characters revisit the past multiple times.
Todome no Kiss is way darker and less romantic about its subject material. The Atypical Family is more optimistic about its dark themes and focuses on mental health.

Rich family and poor family. The poor family want to take a advantage from rich family, they making a plot.

The ML is being deceived by the family and women (caregiver). ML is in black and sad…drinking lot. He live in a dark room. The family dynamic is dysfunctional and weird. The audience must get through their mask to understand the overall storyline. Both story centers around money and memory.

both are:
- Love-hate romances between a clingy but no damsel in distress FL, and an icy on surface but secretly smitten ML.
- Comedies with a lot of heart.

And, both use:
- fantasy elements to highlight real struggles.

Both ML of this drama has color blindness issues. Also, they can only see colors of the FL.

Both are fantasy dramas as well.

- Leads in both are broken and heal each other
- both have unique music scores
- both have dark vibes against the romance
- both male leads need to heal from previous relationships
- adult romance
- male leads are not attracted to the fl at first because they are forced to be together (parents, contract)

Romantic dramas with handsome and talented leads for those that enjoy beautiful cinematography, healing romantic dramas with great scripts, acting and give a warm cup of tea during a cold day or a refreshing one during summer.

These series offer a blend of action, fantasy, and character-driven stories that fans of "Cashero" might enjoy.

This is also a family with superpowers hiding their abilities. It’s comedy, drama, romance. Good for the whole family.

Time, Reincarnation, and Memory-Based Powers
• Supernatural Burdens: Both K-dramas center around main characters with unique, unconventional fantasy abilities that often feel more like a curse than a gift.
• The Atypical Family: The male lead, Bok Gwi-ju, has the ability to travel back in time, but only to happy memories, and he cannot alter history.
• See You in My 19th Life: The female lead, Ban Ji-eum, has the ability to remember all her past lives spanning nearly a thousand years of history.
• Park So-yi: The most direct connection between both shows is the brilliant child actress Park So-yi. In See You in My 19th Life, she plays the young Ban Ji-eum (the main character as a child). In The Atypical Family, she plays a major role as Bok I-na, the daughter with mind-reading capabilities.

The The Atypical Family makes reference to Christmas in August in episode 10. I just wanted to make a note of this for any watchers who are curious about it.

• Romance/ pshycological genre with hidden identity female protagonist.

• Deceitful female lead with a love/ hate relationship.

• Family relationship as a key point for both dramas.

Characters have special powers in both shows. They use their powers for their own gain at first but eventually learn how to use them to help others. They lose their powers at some point. Some characters aren’t what they seem.

Chun Woo Hee plays the FL in both, and although the stories aren’t that similar, the FL in both starts out as a con artist. ML in both also really wants to save/help FL.
