NOT A VERY GOOD STORY BUT NOT BORING
To be Honest , if this is a real life story and If I were PhomJai, I would leave Yang because of all the trouble he has in his life, even the fact that Phomjai was rich and have a super supportive parents and caring brother, I would never let a man like that ruin my life no matter how I like him. I was actually looking for a part where Phom Jai's parents must take him from P Yang and it was funny that even Phom Jai's Brother Phojai did not even blamed Yang for every thing that happened to them, like hello ! being abducted is a serious thing ! and they should have reported it to the police no matter what , well they have reported but there was no update from the police (even policemen in dramas are soooo damn slow and always late at the crime ! ), and even the fact that they later found out where P Yang was , it was s o absurd that they did not reported or have given the Police an update ! they reasoned that they will be in even more trouble but being abducted is a a big trouble itself !? and it was funny that I it was PhoJai, Phumjai;s brother who convinced P Yangs lender to leave them alone ! and where was the parents of P Yang ?? they only showed up when everything was better !? and they even have the guts the video call P Yang where as far as I've understood it was their family debt , it was too painful for P Yang to shoulder every thing and to have a pressure to pay all the 5M Baht ?? about PhomJai, it was annoying how much addicted he is of being Fan of P Tammy but I quiet understood it , but it was also absurd that P'Tammy was famous but she seems not famous , I don't know why I said that but based in the drama she was just live streaming and many views her but whenever she comes to the Convenient store she seems isn't famous .. and who did even made her character ? HAHA she was a gold digger and a player hAHHA, I did not agreed with what PhomJai said to P Yang when he asked him if Phomjai would still accept her in spite of her character-- that all of us have something we did not want everyone to find out , yeah that's right but what isn't right is that he still accepts him just because they met and what was that ? Phomjai felt that Tammy Trusted her ? everyone can do that ! HAHAHH. all in all I did not like that story at all AND this is all the negative things I have seen on the drama.About what I like was the team ! specially Jae Bojii she was funny , I only felt a but irritated with the black guy but he was funny also ,,
I only liked the story of the brother of Phomjai, I like sad stories like that , like if I were Tag Phojais' boyfriend I would also feel the same way .. it was right and it was valid that Tag have chosen to have a break of their relationship, it was so so hard to be not proud of . and I also like the character of Phojai , and he is handsome by the way. and finally off course our only DaouOffroad ! like I am actually here because of them ! I just felt that P Daou's acting was not maximized here as on the Century of love but it was okay , and since every viewers here is actually here for the romance of DaouOffroad so , in that part Immana give them 10 out of 10 ! the both of them was great giving us butterflies in spite of the absurd story, they filled it with love so that we may not notice the story as a whole it was really bad . they really so cute together , their height and body difference is something else ! you know what I am saying ?? . so yeah that's all, I don't know If I would rewatch this one but maybe maybe I would do that , it was not boring after all.

Too Much Drama for Too Few Episodes, But It’s a Good BL
A BL where everything happens by coincidence — in other words, it's all plot-driven and forced. But thanks to the charisma of the characters and actors, it ended up being a good BL. The leads have great chemistry. Even though Phumjai is pretty annoying with his obsession over Tammy, I still managed to like his character. For me, the main issue is the need to create drama where there didn’t need to be any — the characters just needed to say what had to be said. This kind of conflict caused by poor communication is extremely frustrating. We get six episodes of Phumjai talking only about Tammy, and then two episodes of total chaos with an ending that makes no sense.
Another thing that really bothered me was the excessive product placement in such a short series. So, I’d say what saved this show were the actors, who are genuinely very good.

Simple Pining Love Story
**Brief Synopsis**B (Employee): Phumjai
T (Boss): Yang
- Beginning: B and T work at the same convenience store with them also being business partners. T owns the store and B owns shares. T is chinese so when B needs to learn chinese to flirt with a girl, he goes to T. The more time they spend together, the more attracted T is to B and wishes they could be more. In the name of helping him get the girl, they go on dates so B will know what it's like to be on a date. By that point, it is obvious that B is also attracted to T but hasn't realized his own feelings yet and is still hung up on the girl. However, when he is on the date with the girl, he keeps thinking about T.
- Middle: B confesses that he keeps thinking about T when he is on the date and T, thinking this is B telling him he liked him, kisses B and B freaks out. He runs away and spends the next few episodes avoiding T, which hurts T deeply. After a while, B finally realizes that he actually likes T and gets together with him. They are happy for a while until T's past catches up to him. It is revealed that T is actually hiding from creditors. Realizing they've finally caught up to him, T breaks up with B, tells him he has no feelings for him and was only joking, in order to protect him. At first B doesn't believe if but when T starts acting like that, B slowly gives up, even deciding to give up his shares and leave the store.
- End: Just as B was leaving, T realizes that he'll probably lose the best thing in his life and goes to stop him and begs for him to stay. B, still in love with him, didn't ask for any apologies before accepting him and they get intimate in the store. Later on, T explains to B what was actually going on and B promises to be with him every step of the way. The story ends with them still in love and opening a company together.
**My Opinion**
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT:
- The actors playing B and T. Their chemistry was amazing and their interactions were cute and sweet. They also do a great job in portraying the affection between the characters.
- I really like the foreplay/flirting. B's reactions are very cute as well.
- The characters are very likeable despite each having their own flaws.
- The writing is okay. The story flows well despite the plot being very weak as all the attention is put on the development of their relationship. The story does well in portraying its bittersweet aspect. It's shot really well and we can really feel T's pain when he has to support B in getting the girl he wants when he wants B for himself.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT IT:
- Plot as a whole is ok but there aren’t any plot twists or memorable moments. It is however a very cliche and predictable plot.
- Use of lack of communication and misconceptions as source of angst is overdone. A lot of issues would have been resolved if B and T just talked to each other. T made the universal mistake of making B's decision for him, not even giving him the chance to stay with him. Because of this, T hurt B deeply. I felt that B forgive T too easily but I guess that's because B was desperate for a reason to stay and didn't care about the pain T put him through. The fact that T has given up on B so easily and had to wait until B was leaving to wake up makes me question the sincerity of his feelings.
- Acting is okay overall but there are some scenes that are awkward and some reactions can seem unatural. The scene where B finds out T has been kidnapped, the reaction looks very unatural; the actor failed to communicate the character's worry to the audience.
- The intimate scenes are relatively tame with focus on kissing.
**Conclusion**
An OK watch but probably won’t be revisiting.

Good. Sweet.
Love In Translation is the first BL show of Daou and Offroad together and I really wanted to watch this show because I know that they are famous in Thailand and I saw them there when I first went there and did not know who they were but I will have to say that this is a really good start and I enjoyed this show so much. Okay, the story is about this Chinese guy who just moved to Thailand because of something mysterious but he is wanting to do business in Thailand so he needed someone Thai to help him with it and found one. They did not start okay with each other but the story progress until they become the lovers that they are now with the intense kissing scenes. Now, Love In Translation is a BL series that is trying to launch a BL couple which they did successfully and I will have to admit that the chemistry of Daou and Offroad is just really good. I am enjoying the moments that they have together because they really seem to be enjoying. Daou’s character is a bit more serious so the scenes where he smiles is what makes him so cute and lovable. I slowly fell in love with his character and I will have to admit that the reveal of what he is really doing there and how they were able to resolve it may seem to be a bit sketchy. I think that there is such a much better way to handle the storyline. I think that they really rushed the ending of that story but I can somehow forgive them because the flow of the story is quite good and it is really wanting to focus on them. Phunjai which I the character of Offroad had a stronger narrative with his huge crush on Tammy which pushed so much of the story to move and Offroad is really cute. I mean, the guy really looks like he is the kindest person on Earth. We also have a strong secondary couple in Phojai and Tag. They are really cute together and I wish that their storyline is somehow given more time to really grow but I am glad with what they did here. I will say that this show had ups and downs but a good mix of that really made this enjoyable to watch especially with the chemistry of the lead characters. I like how good the rapport felt and how they are just so sweet together by the end of it. There are some questionable plot storylines but we also had a good one here. Was this review helpful to you?

Everything about her reminds me of him
I just sighed when I saw this was next on my list to review. This show is terrible, but Daou and Offroad are amazing. I dont know why they always get put with goofy ass fuck ass plots, like oh my lord. I would give an 8.1 out of 10. I am going to say what I liked, what I didn't like, and then an overview. I started this August 19th OF 2024 HELP.Daou and Offroad have some of the best chemistry in BL I have seen in a long ass time. I will give them that. I think they are both great actors, and they are great together, specifically. It is just a damn shame, is all I have to say. THE BLACK GUY. I AM BLACK SO I WAS JUMPING UP AND DOWN WHEN I SAW HIS ASS. He was the second-best thing in this dumpster ass show lmao. Oh, and Ngern is in this, and that is my goat. I also liked the guy he's with in this, but their chemistry isn't the best. I can't lie, but they are both good actors and were a pretty fun side couple, I guess. THE SEX SCENES FROM DAOU AND OFFROAD WERE AMAZING. Fantastic, were they very random, yes, but they were still great. Daou is very good at playing nonchalant characters, and this was no different; he played this guy great. I liked the sunshine x grumpy vibes from our main couple; that was a fun dynamic to have. It just wasn't executed that well, but I saw it for what it was.
Daou looks scary with hair, and I didn't like his hair, lmao. Where is my bald or slightly with hair man? NEXT. I don't know why these two always get bad shows. This show, and Century of Love are my examples (I haven't finished Wicked Game yet, but people said it fell off towards the middle, so my point still stands). Like why? Just terrible fucking plots for genuinely no reason. The start was so incredibly weak and set up the show right off the bat for being bad. They dragged the fuck out of the first episode, and that is supposed to be the foundation, and they messed it up, oh my god. It felt so boring and just like we could have said that in like 10 minutes, but no, we just had to drag it out for an hour. And to be honest, that is how the whole show felt. THE WEIRD THING WITH TAMMY. That was very parasocial and weird, and I dont know if that was the point, but it felt, while it was the major point, so irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and made this show lowkey boring from the start. We also started falling in love way too fast. By the second episode, I am like, there is no way. I think maybe if they set the episode up a bit better, that would have worked, but they didnt, so it didnt work at all. The pacing was awful. Like geniuely awful. Jumping off the whole thing with falling in love too early, the romance building and pacing were awful, and they jumped the gun too early without the proper setup, and it ran this show through the mud, I fear. Also, bad character writing when they were making the characters, this weird possessive out of nowhere, bro. Like, why are we even doing that? It doesn't add to the plot; it just makes stuff annoying. They also had these weird jumps in this that I really didnt like, oh my god, it made the story and plot so hard to follow, even if there wasn't anything to begin with. Okay, that's it.
Okay, my episode thoughts. "It felt very long and not a lot of stuff happened, like it could have done this whole episode in 10 minutes, but dragged it out. This is an interesting concept that I don't think I have seen before, so I am excited. I have no expectations for this show if I am being honest, but it should be funny, I guess. I like the couple's off-screen chemistry, and I just finished their other show and saw they had this one, so yeah. Interesting but very weak start and lots of potential. Also, I wouldn't know how to feel with my best friend dating my older brother behind my back, but okay." "him and his weird thing with Tammy made me step outside myself and ask Am I like that with these actors? No, the answer is fuck no." "FACEEEE CARDDDD. He's starting to fall for him, I'd say a little too fast, but what can you do? Okay, that's it lol." "I think that Tammy is going to like whatever Daou's character's name is, and that's going to cause problems between them." Bingo. At least I think that is what happened, I can't remember lmao. "These weird jumps are not smooth at all. I might need to take a break from this show." I took a month break. "They have good chemistry, just always get bad storylines. They have so much tension, I love them. Sunshine x grumpy, we love it. Fake date is what I am getting from this." "Confused about his feelings because Yang's sexy ass is making him feel some kind of way. Yang sleeps like he is waiting for his prince lmao." "THAT MAN IS NOT YOUR MAN." "Utter fucking shit. Me when my actions have consequences. Got his fucking heart stomped out, dude. "I'll handle it very soon." Your feelings? Dude, it is okay to be gay. Very awkward love triangle. Yang had always liked him, but he just wanted the best for him." "I don’t know if I should stop while I’m still ahead." I, in fact, stopped while I was still ahead and came back a year and a month later. "I do not know what is happening, and I dont give a damn, all I know is daou and offroad are in this, and ngern is too. Okay, I remember what is happening ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING." "Ngern has in his contract that he has to be with pretty guys on g. I feel like they argue about this issue so much, like my lord. WHY ARE WE SHOOTING DOWN COUPLES AT THE SAME TIME? THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. I'm crying, WATCHING THIS WITH NO SOUND, I'm GONNA FIGHT DEMONS. Yang, when his actions have consequences, like you said you dont like him, and now you are wondering why he is leaving, dumb ass. SMACK HIS ASS OR I WILL. Wait, why did we stay? PLS DONT. NO CHINESE, I WILL GIVE THE EPISODE A ZERO." "Tell me why he lowkey got kidnapped and put in some kind of modern-day slavery." "Daou is so sexy, and I don't appreciate his beauty enough. Lowkey have lost the plot from the start bc it's been so long lmao. WHERE DID WE GET THIS MONEY? WHAT THE FUCK. Daou is so fucking hot, the way his eyes sit on his face is so hot on god. And just like that, the beauty of daou and offroad was born."
Do it for the love of the game, not for the plot. Okay bye!

The story needs a little bit tweaking to match the perfect chemistry
*happy ending*First of all, the main couple has fire chemistry. Even the kissings are so natural. Yang is also a great actor. I loved his crying scene where I can really see his lips tremble as he breaks down.
I hated phumjai's personality at first. The series being 8 episodes helped a lot in me not hearing another 'Tammy' come out in Phumjai's lips.
Tammy is soo beautiful, I really liked how her character is portrayed.
And, yes, my baby Ngern. I missed him so. That fanservice in episode 8 is chef's kiss hahaha.
Also, his acting is still top notch. I even cried in their breakup scene rather than the YangPhumjai one. Hoping to see more of him in the future.
All casts are really well casted and great that I felt somewhat disappointed that the story didn't utilized it more. Episode 8's first few minites was weird and ridiculous. The feeling of 'responsibility' towards money is also a bit stupid. Hello? There are rich parents over there. Can't even care to tell them that their son is kidnapped? Hello? Still owning it to responsibility? Urgh.
Still, I loved the OPness of Ngern's character. I hope they elaborated more on that as well and also Phumjai's chinese.
Casting and acting is really great on this one. I really liked that they really are speaking in chinese most of the time. I really felt the 'love in translation' part and that made this series great.
Hope they cast these actors in a more thought of series next time. Will still rewatch this though.

The world needs more DaouOffroad in it!
There are few BLs airing now that get as much right as this one does. Was it perfect? No..
But I think what is also important is the feeling we get from watching a good BL, and if we have good memories of it afterward that stick in our head.
Daou and Offroad have great chemistry built from years of friendship as band mates, and in LIT, it can make up for the little flaws in storyline, and other minor technical issues that this show has.
The entire cast put in some great performances, regardless of the sometimes over the top, goofy plot. The production value, cinematography, and OST were also pretty commendable.
I’m sure others can/will poke holes in the quality of this BL for this and that, if they try hard enough, but it really is subjective. As someone who has watched close to 200 BLs over the years, I will still put this in my top 20.
And lastly, I really hope Daou and Offroad have more projects together in the future!

DaouOffroad chemistry and
This is my #1 show from 2023. The first episode was kinda bizarre, but it made me genuinely laugh so I kept going and I'm SO glad I did! The main couple are good actors and have excellent chemistry together (they're played by tpop idols Daou and Offroad). The supporting characters are fun, silly, and add value to the show. The storyline is simple but solid. No glaring plot holes or inconsistencies. The drama knows what kind of a story it's trying to tell, and does a good job at not taking itself too seriously. There are emotional moments, comedy, great kisses, tension, family ties and friendships, overall this is a lighthearted and easy watch.
Yes, there is product placement, but it's cute and integrated into the story well. It's obvious there was money behind this project, so I'll take the pp in exchange for good sound, camera work, editing, all the production stuff that makes a quality show.
Love in Translation is worth watching for sure!!

Can't Believe I Bursted Out Crying After Just Finishing The Series
I am writing this right after watching the final episode so I might be a bit emotional and my thoughts might change after some time, but they might also not so bare that in mind while reading my review.Storyline/ Plot: First of all the series has 8 eps which I wish was more. But in my opinion, they managed to have a normal storyline, a peak moment (where everything gets complicated), kinda quick solution of the problem and a happy ending. I never got bored of it, never wanted to drop it (in fact I was always counting days to the new episode). Some might think the opposite but it wasn't rushed for me either. I don't like when it takes too much time to resolve the main problem. Everything was on time and on place for me. The main couple didnt kiss from first ep and then take time to confess either (unlike some gmm series) About plot, it wasnt something unique but I think they managed to add some spices to make it unique.
Cast: Okay, everyone was great but DAOU AND OFFROAD?? THEIR CHEMISTRY? IT WAS LITERALLY ON TOP! Ehm okay Im calm. All of their scenes together were so natural, especially the last episode where they were either hugging, patting each other's head, looking at each other with intense love and affection gosh!!! The other actors did an amazing job as well, loved how they had different interesting characters.
Overall: It was literally the first time that I started crying after understanding that it ended. I think I really got attached to the series and the characters. Everything was soo natural, i loved how they didnt make the main(?) female character a bad one. Instead, she kinda made them make moves to each others. No more comments, if you give it a chance, you might maybe question it in first eps but if you continue, you will like it for sure. You will even find yourself holding your screams while watching some scenes. You will find yourself smiling like a crazy for a good 10 minutes (final ep) you will hold your breathe, you will pause in between to make sure that you are actually alive. You will literally feel overwhelmed of the love that comes out of the screen of your device.

So cute and funny - great actors
I find this story so cute and funny. Yes I can see how his obsession with a popular internet celeb at the beginning can be seen as weird but you find out why there is one later one in the series which makes it better. I love the cute humor and the fun actors. The main leads are both super attractive too!! I also love how good of cryers and kisses they are!! I cried a few times in this series !!Was this review helpful to you?
The CHEMISTRY
Listen. Was this show like 98% an ad comercial for products? Yes. However, the chemistry between our cast but especially our main leads *insert fire emoji*. If someone told me they were like in a deep relationship for years then I would believe it *insert crying emoji*.Yes the plot had some holes in it and felt rushed towards the end but I still enjoyed this drama nevertheless. Actually one of my favorites. It’s not even because it’s so good but man the main leads really made it that way for me lol. Like yes the younger male lead was quite annoying but he wasn’t as bad as the character in Tin Tem Jai so I consider that a bonus. Definitely gonna need more from our main leads!!!!!
