Both shows have LGBTQ themes but the romance is not the main plot. Instead, both get increasingly dark and suspenseful as it progresses. Both have manipulative and immoral characters. Paradise of Thorns is more a thriller while Dead Friend Forever is a horror.

In both there is a gay couple but with a woman in the equation. Not exactly the same but you can give it a try.

it follows almost the same story. the protagonist faces the same struggles aka the problems the same gender couples face because of the legal stuff. especially after the death of a lover

the problems of lqbtq couples in society. bonding with the lover's family. taking responsibility to take care of the partner's family after the death of the partner.

Slow burn thrillers with layers of symbolism; There is an underlying tension that lingers throughout the entire movie, the background music that helps convey this tension is very similar between the two movies. Lust and romantic interest is intermingled with dark elements and implications, Also, a minor aspect but the main characters also express misogyny (the fl in burning e.g. gets slutshamed and in paradise of thorns she is, well i dont want to spoil), which serves as subtle commentary on the way women are perceived and treated by men/society. Theres also an aspect of agriculture; in Paradise of Thorns they grow Durian fruits and in Burning one of the characters claims to like setting greenhouses on fire so theres several shots of greenhouses.

The Paradise of Thorns (2024), where the male protagonist is emotionally and financially manipulated by his lover’s family, and Moonlight Chicken (2023), where themes of inequality, emotional betrayal, and the imbalance of power in romantic relationships are also explored — especially how one partner’s background or circumstances leave them vulnerable.

It’s LGBTQ+ related , tell the story of those who got criticised by the society but can’t speak for themselves. The vibe is relatively dark and you can’t predict where the story will go.

In "Dear ex " the died person has written a will where all his properties goes to his lover .This leads to quarrels between the wife and the lover.
