long and boring and basic
i loved both FL & ML they are incredibly amazing actors and really good at what they’re doing, however, the story is too typical for a time travel dramaI feel like we have seen those type of dramas a lot, and there’s nothing really new in this one
only thing that kept me going are the actors I loved their chemistry together
but the storyline it just does not have anything special.
I feel like I have watched too much better time travel Kdramas with a better story( thats just for me at least ) And it was really unnecessarily long. It could’ve ended in 10 episodes, overall it’s not that bad I guess

“The tale of two people whose love is so meant to be that the heavens fought for them”
Lovely Runner is truly one of the greatest and best dramas of all time. This drama really had a mixture of everything, great story, strong plot, character development, romance, comedy, secret crush, first love everything that you could imagine of for a drama. Honestly watch a delightful drama this was. I’m really going to miss waiting for episodes to drop each week. I’m going to miss being happy and excited every Monday and Tuesday. My Mondays and Tuesdays was made exciting because of this drama. I’m going to miss hearing “Sunjaeahh” and “Solah” each week. This SolJae couple was epic.Every character in this drama worked so hard to create this amazing masterpiece. I’m going to miss each and every character in this drama, from Taesung, In Hyuk and our beloved Halmoni. Really what an amazing drama this was. The story was written so well and one of the best time travel dramas I have ever seen.
Ryu Sunjae character was literally a forest full of green flags and Byeon Wooseok did such an exceptional job in portraying Sunjae’s character so well, he really bought that character alive. I also have to mention Wooseok also participating in singing one of the OST’s Sudden Shower really added that special touch, hearing his voice singing this song in the drama really added that extra touch and made this drama whole.
Kim Hye Yoon also portrayed her character Im Sol so well. You can really tell that this drama was really written for her, I can’t think of anyone else playing the role of Im Sol that Hye Yoon herself. She really did such a great job in bringing out her character and it was amazing to see Im Sol go to great lengths to keep Sunjae alive. The ending of this drama was so wholesome as well.
Special mention of Son Geon Hee who plays the role of Kim Taesung. Wow he is such a talented actor and he played his character so well. The OSTs in this drama was also top notch, each OST really shows the character story and the feeling of the drama. Byeon Wooseok (Eclipse) singing Sudden Shower to 10cm long awaited OST Spring Snow that we were all waiting for so long.
Overall, this was a beautiful drama and definitely a drama that everyone needs to watch. Everything about this drama has been written so well that you will be captured by this drama from episode 1. Thank you Lovely Runner for making my Mondays and Tuesdays so beautiful for the past 6 weeks. I’m really going to miss this drama. Lovely Runner you have shown what true love really means and what it feels like to be in love and to be loved by someone.💛💫✨

THE BEST THING THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN TO YOU!!!
Watch this drama!! trust me!! one of the best kdrama ever with insane chemistry and amazing plotline and the definition of ROM and COM... it has truly every trope ever!! Watch until ep2 ending to be obsessed forever."Lovely Runner" is an absolute vibe! If you're into K-dramas, this one is a total must-watch. It’s got everything – romance, drama, and those feel-good moments that just hit different.
First off, the main actors are chef's kiss. They have insane chemistry, and you can totally feel the sparks flying. Their characters are so relatable, and you get super invested in their journey. Like, you’ll be shipping them hard by episode two.
The storyline is on point. It's this perfect mix of emotional highs and lows, with just the right amount of humor to keep things light. The dialogues? So quotable. And the way it’s shot – the cinematography is straight-up stunning. Every scene is like an Instagram-worthy moment.
So yeah, if you’re looking for a drama that’ll give you the best time of your life and keep you binge-watching till 3 AM, "Lovely Runner" is it. It’s not just a show; it’s an experience. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll be thinking about it long after it’s over. Don’t sleep on this one – it’s a whole mood!

Romance is great, story is lacking
I think romance-wise these 2 actors may have some of the best chemistry I've seen in a minute! They carried as much as they could, but the story was a little all over the place plot wise, and im sol's whole shtick of hating on herself gets super old halfway thru. I also agree with some others that the drama didn't need to be as long as it was, and felt dragged out for an unmemorable climax. All in all though, i would still rate it fairly well since it gave me what i wanted out of it, which was an adorable romance, not a well-thought-out plot (though it was an intriguing and semi-original plot device/concept).Was this review helpful to you?

Run away from this drama
The story is promising until it becomes unbearable, beginning with some interesting facets, highlighting issues of the wheelchair bound people, parasocial fan culture, mental health struggles, time travel and the rules of this particular version. Once Sol and Seon Jae meet, there is no chemistry though the engaging mystery of the lead figuring out her situation and how it works kept the pace going, but soon there is clearly not enough plot to to sustain 9 episodes, let alone 16 episodes of hour+ runtime because it just relies on tropes to pad out the runtime with all of the interesting set up just abruptly ending, unexplored and unaddressed. What the drama became was like the writer is actually desperate to write a comedy and is also really bad at it. There are so many shouty scenes of endless misunderstood moments, withholding information and intentions, stupid testosterone contests, side characters bickering that go on forever. The acting of the leads aren't good enough to elevate anything either. The second lead Tae Sung is comparatively better than the rest and the character is the only one that has growth and change throughout the story which helps to make his quirky scenes that don't involve the inane one upmanship with Seon Jae, actually funny. Sol has always acted immature even as a 34 year old adult and her entire focus just revolves around Seon Jae when she goes back in time. She doesn't get to have an substantial moments to develop her bond with other people like her family who were also facing some serious problems like her mom's health, her grandma's eventual mental decline, or even her friend and future sister in law. Everyone is just a comedy bit. Even Tae Sung with his father when he rushes to the hospital after his dad was nearly killed by the escaped serial killer, the show just leaves it at a comedy bit. Seon Jae is actually even more immature as a 34 year old in all iterations of his life and also doesn't have a single serious moment with his father. The leads have no dimension in addition to no chemistry, so their relationship has no weight. Truck sama wiping out the serial killer is the ultimate lazy conclusion. They should have had Sol behind the wheel at least. The show hates depth and characterization. The sky high mdl rating as of this writing confounds me, there are dramas that are way better that don't have anywhere as near high ratings.
I do not recommend this drama. If you want a well done time travel back to high school plot to save a guy, watch Love for Love's Sake.

SUNJAEYAAAAAAAA
Ughhhhhhh GUYZZZ where do I even start with this k-drama. I enjoyed watching every episode and had a smile on my face every time. The story was just so so cute and well thought of not to mention it was actually funny and entertaining. I just love how sun jae chose im sol in every life time no matter what. Their chemistry and love story was so cute from going to the same high school and being neighbors, to being his k-pop fan and meeting at the film company she works for. Like seriously I want a love like that the way he would die for her in every life time and sacrifice his time to be with her is BIG GREEN FLAGSSSS and what a MAN should be. The way he always took care of her, was looking after her and worrying about her was UGHHH so cuteeeee. I also love how he was pretending to not be into her but give her these small signs until he told her. It's just so OMGGG like they were destined for each other no matter what and it just gets me every time. The only bad thing I was say was Im Sol was DTMMMMM DUDE like she wanted to protect him soooo bad even tho he told her he will die saving her and she just would keep disappearing and letting go of him and not wanting to see him, meet him and I was like okay thats enough like literally all the way til ep 15 and thats going on??? I wouldve gave in if thats my man bro and thats why I rate it a 9.5 for the story. As well as, the guy who hit her it took forever for them to catch him like ummm yall couldve finished that a while ago ... but I get it bc every time she went to the past its based on that so it makes sense but I just think it was repeated a little much. Nonetheless, it was so so fun to watch and I am OBSESSED with the OST and sun jae ;) SUCH A CUTIE DAMN. The time travel was a cute idea and I love how Im Sol got to change some of her fate. AND PLEASE THE ENDINGGG UGH I love love the ending which I feel most k-dramas be mid with the endings but this was seriously so cute and I loved how he proposed to her and they showed the future of them getting married in time travel form. like SO SMART!! Pleaseeee watch this its seriously the best rom com I've ever watched and top 5 K-dramas I've watched so far (sorry if u disagree u just gotta get me) you guys will enjoy it TRUSTTTWas this review helpful to you?
WHY ARE YOU FINDING LOW RATED REVIEW THERE IS NONE !!
Let’s take a moment to thank the cast and team behind this amazing show, which has managed to win our hearts for the past eight weeks. After everything this show went through to reach us, its success is even sweeter.Im Sol and Sun-jae finally got their happy ending. It was a good call for the writers to make the last episode solely about their happiness. There were no eleventh-hour villain stories. They allowed us to see SolJae thrive in their couple era and gave us a glimpse of their wedding. It was the perfect way to end this iconic show.
Everyone got their happy ending and our never-ending theories can finally be put to rest. Let us know what are some of your favorite moments from the show. We now officially bid a bittersweet farewell to our beloved characters as Lovely Runner takes its final bow, receiving a well-deserved standing ovation.
Lovely Runner: The positives
What a remarkable journey Lovely Runner has been! Each moment of the show feels like a blessing on our screens. From its humble beginnings as an idol-fan romance time-slip series, it has taken us through a myriad of tropes and timelines, imparting lessons on love, grief, healing, fate, and so much more.
Let's pause to express our gratitude to the cast and crew behind this incredible show, which has captured our hearts over the past eight weeks. Despite the challenges it faced in reaching us, given its production and casting issues, its success is all the more rewarding.
Each and every character in the show was amazing, from Sol and Sun Jae to their families, friends, Tae Sung, and even our villain. Each character received a well-deserved ending, and each character with their plots brought a perfect balance to the show.
The decision not to drag out the villain's plot and to resolve it within the 15th episode added to the excitement of the finale, allowing us to focus more on witnessing SolJae as a couple.
Their antics as they attempted to date in secret, Sun Jae's unwavering supportiveness as a boyfriend, and Sol finally achieving her dream were all highlights of the series. Additionally, Tae Sung deserves the 'Best Second Lead' trophy of the year for his portrayal as the perfect friend and Im Sol's second lead. From saving Sun Jae to catching Young Soo, he truly did it all!
Lovely Runner: The negatives
The show delivered a multitude of tropes and stories all at once, offering a refreshing break from the tired clichés often seen on screen. However, now that the series has come to an end, fans are left with bittersweet goodbyes.
While we were never fully enlightened on the true reason behind Young Soo's persistent interference in Sol and Sun Jae's destiny, it's perhaps a blessing in disguise that the show wrapped up swiftly without unnecessary dragging.
The ambiguity surrounding Sol's grandmother, whether she is a time traveler or not, too is a drawback as it was never resolved. Her possession of the watch and the meaningful conversation she had with Sun Jae suggest she may indeed have a role in their story. Despite a few unresolved elements and minor loopholes, the series couldn't have been more perfect, making farewells all the more difficult.

A very ordinary time travel story
I had high expectations or maybe because the drama created such a hype, I was hoping for something phenomenal like something hilarious, some healing and a love story to remember but nevermind.it was an average rom com story with time travel twist which become very obvious and boring towards the end.I like the male lead but that isn't enough to be attached with a character or show. I couldn't feel connected to the main characters. I like sun jae at the beginning but his character became unimpressive towards the middle of the show. And I got out of his charms very quickly.
I felt the same for Sol, as someone representing a disable women, I had high hopes for her character but it felt like she didn't cared enough for herself. That was a let down. Both Sol and Sun jae lacked depth in their characters. And there was no relevance of the 2nd leads
Apart from characters, there was no extraordinary plot either. I was Hella bored in between the show. It got super slow. Nothing that amazing happened in the show as I expected. .

Lovely Runner: Almost there to the finish line
The cast of Lovely Runner shines brightly. The main leads deliver strong performances, and the seasoned actors hold their own, creating engaging dynamics. The supporting cast does a good job of...well, supporting the leads. However, the show stumbles in its writing.Clichéd Cupid: The romance between the leads, while well-acted, drowns in a sea of overused tropes. What starts as cute quickly becomes repetitive, leaving viewers yearning for something more original.
Time Travel Troubles: The central plot device, the time-slip, is a missed opportunity. The show fails to explain its core mechanic, leaving a gaping hole in the narrative logic. This lack of explanation is frustrating, hindering the audience's ability to fully invest in the story.
Conveniently Ever After: The ending feels rushed and predictable, opting for a simple "happily ever after" conclusion that ignores the complexities established throughout the show. It leaves viewers wanting more depth and a more satisfying resolution... and explanation.
Overall: While the cast is commendable, Lovely Runner banked more on the cutesy romantic feels and that's it. Clichéd romance, unexplained plot points, and a predictable ending prevent the show from reaching its full potential.

Disappointed
I expected so much more from the 9.2 rating it currently has on here, and 9.8 on Viki. And I’m a sucker for time travel kdramas. But after about halfway through the series it just got repetitive andBoring. FL cries every episode, and chemistry between her and ML is low. I didn’t even want to watch the last two episodes but did just to say I finished the show. Only saving grace was the 10cm
Music. Such great potential in the beginning few episodes. I’m really sad it went downhill for so many episodes.

The butterfly effect or we can just call it fate...
so at first i was pretty skeptical about it since im not a fan of dramas that have going back in time or that kind of stuff, cuz it just feels repetitive, however that was the whole point of the show. it was a bit repetitive in middle but, that itself potrays the character development and how the choices can lead to different thing.so basically everyone is convinced that she was able to change her and his fate, well thats not true. yes she may have gone back to the past a few times and made some changes, but those changes were never meant to be changed or moreover she had no right to choose.
why i think this?
well the Main lead's friend, who had become a mother tells her that, fate cannot be changed, and even if she was able to go in past she wouldnt change a thing, because everything is already in motion.
so if we take that in account, dosent that mean there are more than 100 timelines, no probably more than that, because how do you truly know that you are in the present?
its just events in a paradox.
and that paradox will continue, sun jae's death is inevitable, because he will die one day.
like i said, im sol changed nothing, she was dancing on the palm of so called fate.
to support my statement, whether she is in present or past, you can go all the way to episode 16.
(SPOILER) ep 16
They both see themselves getting married, which is strange, because similar things happened to sun jae when he was recovering his memory from a different timeline, and same with im sol, when she was gonna catch the killer.
meaning that the memory they saw was either from a timeline, took place in future or a premonition, similar to when im sol was at the restaurant waiting for the killer.
why i made this post?
well, there are alot of people who kept on going on abt how its poorly made or how she did nothing even though it was obvious that she could save sun jae. No.
she had no right to mess with the timelines from the beginning and if she did, nothing is bound to change, either the events will take place later on, or in some other way. but they will happen whether she changes her choices or keep them the same.
"lovely runner"
could have many interpretation. for me I'd say it means that she is denying fate to protect her loved ones, but you know its 'runner' its as if its telling us that someone or something is running away from something terrible or unfortunate which cannot be outrunned or matched, because of how complex it is. it also shows the endurance of im sol backed up by runner, because she dosent give up no matter what.
i can keep rambling about it, but this series was very well written, they chose the story carefully and there were some hidden hints yall missed while watching the show, if you still call it shit despite not noticing all of that, you must be one biased individual.
producing a story with such a complex concept can be veryy challenging, especially dealing with timelines, but yes there were some loopholes, tho with enough thinking and common sense, it all adds up in the end. i would have given this a 10 if it had no loop holes, however no show is perfect imo. but this series really captured me because of its repetitive (that i dont like) it's music and Ost, truly 'crush'ed it lol.
my fav ost: spring snow by 10cm and sonaki.

Very cheesy drama with plotholes
Started off as one of my fav drama but after ep 12 the story felt dragging and many points were missing from the drama like the story of the taxi driver , the grandmother, how the watch helped Sol to travel back in the past and why did she get another chance to save Sun jae and I felt that there wasn't any personality of Sun Jae other than being a loser for Sol..I wish that it was a drama where Sun Jae actually committed suicide without the taxi driver plot and in the end Sol had to become disable as it is an inevitable fate like they did in Twinkling watermelon and Sol and Sunjae would help each other to overcome their depression...I thought that the drama will be like this but then I was like no it's again that same serial killer plot...my fav character is Tae Sung ...he had the most significant role in the drama because without him Sunjae and Sol wouldn't have a happy endingWas this review helpful to you?
