don’t think it needed 16 episodes but it's definitely worth your time

really enjoyed this drama, but i don’t think it needed 16 episodes, it could’ve ended just fine at 12, since some parts felt a bit repetitive. I loved the destiny theme, every time they met again it gave me such a warm feeling. The way Sungjae looks at Sol is so sweet and comforting! I did feel a bit sorry for Tae Sung, but it was nice how Sol cared for him too. And the final plot twist, where the story turns into a movie script, was just amazing, i loved it so much.

Eu realmente gostei muito desse drama, mas não acho que precisava de 16 episódios, poderia ter terminado tranquilamente com 12, já que algumas partes pareceram um pouco repetitivas. Ainda assim, eu amei o tema sobre destino, cada vez que eles se reencontravam era reconfortante. O jeito que o Sungjae olha para a Sol é encantador! Eu fiquei com um pouco de pena do Tae Sung, mas foi bonito ver como a Sol cuidou dele também. E o plot final, que a história se transforma em um roteiro de filme, foi simplesmente incrível, eu amei demais.

A lovely drama that keeps me hooked all the time!!

Actually at 1st I didn’t plan to watch this drama. Personally I don’t like drama with characters portraying idol. However, this drama is exceptionally beautiful n really out of my expectations. My sister who watched it 1st but later is me who fall harder. Everything about this drama the characters, storyline & OST is soooo GOOD. You will not get bored in each episode. There were no evil characters. Every character shine their own way. There were no other characters cuter than our SJ. His unconditional love to IS (Same goes to IS). SJ was so lovely n cute in all the scenes n exceptionally handsome on the last episode makes my heart fluttering nonstop. 🥰🥰🥰

Amazing!

I started this show after putting it off for a long time, and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

The actors did an amazing job. Whether it was for a funny scene, a heartbreaking scene, or a romantic scene. I loved it all. I think that they were perfect for their roles, as they all acted as their characters so well.

This is actually my first time watching something with Byeon Wooseok and Kim Hyeyoon (separately). I knew about them and knew that they're loved by many, so I had a feeling that this show would be good. Glad it turned out to be much better than "good". Also, I think that the producers/ director made a good choice by casting those two together. I honestly felt every emotion they portrayed. The love they had for each other felt so real that I really considered the possibility that they might've been crushing IRL lol. I will definitely check out their other dramas as well.

The side characters were really funny, and I enjoyed every little weird thing they did. They made me laugh a lot more than I'd like to admit. When Im Sol's brother and friend started to do aegyo with each other, I cringed so HARD haha.
Although the grandmother didn't make me laugh as much, she definitely surprised me. I know that actors are supposed to be able to play multiple characters with different personalities, but the fact that she played the same person but differently (pre-dementia and post-dementia) made me respect her a lot.
The bad guy wasn't always there, which I think I like better than them being in every episode for longer than they should be. He was a little mysterious and ominous, which I quite liked. He didn't act like some super villain with the biggest ego. Instead, he was tricky but still careful with his actions. For the record, I'm not praising the character lol, but rather the actor. He did really well.

At first, the whole time travel and different timelines made sense. But in the end, when Im Sol went back to erase herself from Sunjae's life, I had a few questions.
For starters, how did Sol's brother and friend still end up together? In the original timeline, they weren't together. They only started to have feelings for each other because Sol and Sunjae got closer when she went back in time. But then she changed the past by making sure he never met her. So how did they catch feelings again?
Second, Im Sol's mother's hand. Again, in the original time, it was different since her hand had a big scar on it from the fire, but Im Sol prevented that. How did her mother's hand come out perfectly fine in the final timeline? Did Im Sol go back again?
Lastly, how did Im Sol stop her own accident from happening? She tried a couple of times before but failed. So what changed this time for her to be perfectly fine in the end?
I actually have a few more questions, but I will keep them to myself.

In conclusion, this show is complicated in a good way. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but this show warmed my heart and left me with a big smile on my face. I loved it so much and would absolutely watch it again!

I rarely give a 10/10 rating for a drama the tallest 9.5/10, but Lovely Runner deserves a 10/10 rating because this drama is really good in terms of the actors' acting, the storyline, especially the OST especially (Sudden Shower, Run run, gift, spring now, may I love you, I think I did, and a day ).

every time I listen to it again it makes me remember this drama so it makes me sad for those who started watching it for fun on Viu when it was still eps 2 and until the end, I like it That's the original drama that made Failed to move on , where is my drama list no longer available to be able to move on from those that at the beginning were Monday and Tuesday, I just used it like a normal day, but since this drama aired, I like Mondays and Tuesdays.

But after this drama ended, it became sad and felt really empty😭 and this game will last for weeks🥲

Do you know a series about a girl that loves a boy so much, she goes to the past multiple times just to save the boy she loves? Well that series is called lovely runner! Its my favorite K-drama right now! This series was directed by Yoon Jong-Ho and this series came out at April 8 2024. The actors that played in this movie are Byeon woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon, these are the actors that played as Sunjae and Im sol, they are also amazing actors! And the genre of this series is romance and fantasy.

In my opinion lovely runner is the best and most popular K-drama this year. I also have 2 reasons and evidence for this, first, all the actors are really good and actually can act well, if you watch the series yourself you can see how they can act well as the character they are playing and all their expressions fit the scene. Second, The movie is actually very popular and the actors are popular too, one of the reasons are lovely runner was top 1 in viki for 6 weeks! That’s a long time isn’t it? In addition to this, the actors are also popular, one of the evidence for this is Byeon woo-seok became the top Korean celebrity in brand rankings and also won the Outstanding Asian Star Korea Popularity Award (Male) at the 19th Seoul Drama Award in 2024. Lovely runner also had another version, the webtoon version, however I didn’t read that version of lovely runner so I personally feel that lovely runner series is better.

Lovely runner seems like just a normal romance K-drama, but it also has something we can learn from it. Firstly from this series we can learn how God already planned our life, like how Im sol erased her and sunjaes memories together but they still ended up together, that’s how God already planned them to be together, a bible verse for this is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future". It means how God already planned everyones life before they were born, like how Im sol and sunjae are still together after everything that happened, its fate. Second, we should trust in God for everything since he already planned our life, our future, we have to trust in God because everything he plans for us is good and is whats best for us.

To sum up, If you want to watch a romance movie with great actors you should watch lovely runner!! I would give this a 5 out of 5 stars because I really think this movie is interesting and fun to watch, I just love everything about this series and I really recommend this series, try to watch it!!

this is one of the best Kdrama of 2024. and tagal kong inignore tong palabas na to kahit lagi kong nakikita sa feeds ko kada scroll ko sa fb naspoil na nga ako dahil sa mga post, memes, and clips na nagkalat. i really don't have time to watch Kdrama at the moment pero luckily nagka long weekend kami di ko na rin natiis kaya pinanood ko na kahit on-going pa. sobrang nakakaadik talaga bawat episode never akong inantok never akong nagfast forward unlike sa mga previous Kdramas na di ko na papangalanan pero di ko talaga matapos tapos ang dami kong pending sa listahan ko hahahaha pero ito? juskolord tinapos ko talaga within the day hahahaha sobrang nakakatuwa yung mga silly funny moments nila. yung saya ko dito kasing level ng saya ko sa funny moments ng Waikiki at Weightlifting fairy kim bok joo. tbh di ako nagagwapuhan kay byeon woo seok before ilang beses ko na sya napanood sa Soulmate pati sa 20th century girl saka strong woman nam soon.

The Ultimate Romance Kdrama

This kdrama was the best kdrama I ever watched and it’s absolutely perfect ahhh 😌. If you like romance kdramas, you must watch this. The plot was really exciting, unexpected, well-paced and I never felt bored watching this show. The actors were so talented and attractive and had great chemistry together. Ryu Sun Jae was especially dreamy and soulful… he’s really the ultimate lover. The production and writing was top tier and every episode left me wanting for more. This drama will take you on a wild emotional ride. It can make you laugh, cry, and feel all the butterflies that come with falling in love. Every episode is filled with moments that touch your heart and keep you wanting more. The characters and their story feel so real that you can’t help but get fully pulled in. By the end, you’re left with a full heart, maybe a few tears, and a drama you’ll never forget.

Some parts of the story feel a little slow or don’t make sense right away, but later everything comes together and it all fits. The show makes you feel all kinds of emotions, and by the end, you’re left with a full heart and maybe even a few tears. It’s the kind of story that stays with you long after it’s over.

Some parts of this series, particularly in episodes 3-4 and 11-12 exhibits uneven pacing. Episodes 3-4 introduce slapstick humor and exaggerated situations, such as the time Sol knocked Sun-jae into a fountain ensuing chaos. Episodes 11-12 feature prolonged comedic gags, including the subplot where Sun-jae's father is trapped in the bathroom, which some people (myself included) found quite excessive.

There are many times in this drama that makes you question "why?"
- "why is there a love triangle that never ends up occurring?"
- "why didn't he end up joining the band that he would've joined before Im Sol meddled?"
- "why was the murderer THAT interested in Im Sol?"

^These are questions I have asked myself while watching this drama.
But despite this, I feel like Lovely Runner ultimately delivers a satisfying conclusion, one where it didn't need to answer these questions. It was like this drama came full circle and made sense without answering them.

The finale episode ties together the various plot threads, providing emotional closure and left me with a sense of fulfillment.

p.s. a good quote for this drama would be: "I didn't know how much I missed you until I saw you." i was thinking about this quote when Sun-jae told Sol he remembered everything.

Still a 10 but some things could have been explored a bit more

I love this drama and the story. My rewatch value is 7.5 just because of the time travel. That suspense won’t hit the same the 2nd time around for me. But I definitely recommend watching the series if you haven’t already!

People are saying it’s a star falling in love with a regular person but that’s not true. ML has been in love with FL since the beginning. But the story showed that sometimes no matter how your try to change a situation, the person may remain the same (Leads being in love, the murderer being a murderer)

I what I think should have been explored more was:
1. Living with disabilities - FL was able to change her fate but a lot of disable people can’t and while it was an important message in the beginning for everyone not to give up hope no matter the circumstances; I would have loved to have seen the FL interact with someone who’s disable. Maybe hire them as one of her staff members on the short film project and show that even though this person is disable they still deserve work and treatment and not how she was discriminated against for being in a wheelchair at the beginning which caused her not to get the job initially. Even go as far as having ML who’s rich ensure the place where she worked or other places in the city had for example Elevators or Ramps for easy wheelchair access. It seems like a lot but disable people go through a lot and as FL would have had those struggles it would have been nice for them to touch on that a bit more in their own way, even if it be a few minutes of the last episode.

2. Granny’s knowledge - I don’t know about you guys but it was clear to me after a while that the grandma was aware that Sol had been time traveling with the watch. The end also made it seem as though she knew Sun Jae from a past life (I could be reaching). But nevertheless, the fact that she threw the watch into the river at the end means she knows it’s no longer needed. I would have liked her connection to the time traveling to be explained a bit more.

Overall, I still give this series a 10. The story was heart pulling and tear jerking. It showed the sacrifice of Sol who just wanted what was best for the person she loves even if that meant staying away in order to save his life. And it showed the other side pertaining to Sun Jae where it doesn’t matter what happens to him because why live if I don’t have love? A lot of complex decisions were made that always affect everyone around them. Great romance, thriller, time travel and goofy series.
