A K-drama that reminds me of "the good old days".
Reviews are obviously subjective, so please keep that in mind!To get it out of the way: If I could I would give this an 11/10!
Now on the the review - when I say this drama reminds me of "the good old days" I mean that it brings back the feeling I had when I first started watching K-dramas. Everything felt new and exciting, from storytelling, to directing, to acting - it was just pure happiness to explore this new genre. And while there are still shows that get me excited, I've been pretty disappointed with romance and comedy dramas in the last few years (with a few exceptions).
Enter "Lovely Runner", a comedy/romance drama with an element of fantasy/sci-fi that swept me off my feet and carried me all the way to K-drama heaven. I don't remember the last time a K-drama had me this hyped for the next episode and waiting a whole week for the next one is literal torture. But at the same time I'm kinda happy I can't binge it, because I get to enjoy it that much longer.
I initally started this drama because I loved Byeon Woo-seok in Strong Girl Nam-soon and when I read he would be the male lead, I just had to watch Lovely Runner, even though I didn't have any expectations. However, by the end of the first episode I had gone from sad to happy to devastated to giggling and kicking my feet in the air, and with the twist at the end of episode 2 I knew this was gonna be one of my all-time favourite dramas.
The chemistry between Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon is "chef's kiss" (I definitely recommend watching the behind the scenes and their promotional interviews) and the rest of the cast is great too, even the second male lead is really lovable. The story does include more serious topics that might be difficult for some people but overall it's a refreshing romantic comedy with some unexpected twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
So if you have thought about watching it but aren't sure, I would strongly recommend you do yourself a favor and give it a try ;)

Thrilled to the Bone !!!
This is my first review and i am writing based on my personal opinion and the super enjoyment i went through while watching the film Only 2 episodes, yet the series promises a good, funny, highly enjoyable watch. BWS can act and is truly entertaining. I was so thrilled in his scenes as a singer and a swimmer. He can literally and figuratively sang and swam into one's heart. Scenes back to high school days were so hilarious and i super enjoyed them. It also provides for a good trip down HS memory lane. The FL is a good actress. She provided half of the moving as well as funny scenes. Both acting are on point. I already rewatched the first 2 episodes while waiting for the next to come. I just hope that BWS will not die in this series. His horrible death in nam soon was heartbreaking and kept me sleepless and restless over a few nights. Hoping to see more heart pounding moments in the next episodes. Was this review helpful to you?

Bubbly drama for a kdrama beginner
If you are just starting on kdramas then you might like it, it might also be your top drama but if you are someone who has been watching dramas for years then this is just another romcom. Nothing else, nothing special about this. If you like watching dramas with good looking male lead then go ahead and watch it for sure. Byeon woo seok is such an eye candy to look at. He hit his mark so late, i find him so attractive and he is also a good actor. I really look forward to his upcoming dramas!I will complete this drama as i am watching this when it is airing, if you ask me if i will binge watch it…hmm I probably will not.

Unexpected Delight: 'Lovely Runner' Redefines K-Drama Expectations with Impressive Start
Wow!! The first 2 episodes of 'Lovely Runner' left me speechless. Initially bracing myself for the typical fangirl clichés, I was pleasantly surprised by its refreshing take on the genre. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, the visuals are stunning, and the emotions feel genuine. What sets this drama apart is its ability to infuse humor without veering into cringe territory. The pacing is perfect, keeping me hooked from start to finish. With such a strong start, I can't wait to see where 'Lovely Runner' takes us next. And let's not forget about the OSTs—they're absolutely spot on, enhancing the scenes in all the right ways. Hopefully will continue to be must-watch for any K-drama enthusiast! Was this review helpful to you?

Heartwarming and fresh
With still 6 espisodes left I may be getting ahead of myself, but I'm confident saying now that this show is one of the best kdramas ever made. The plot is interesting, well written but not over the top, the characters are captivating and the acting is amazing (high praise to Kim Hyeyoon and Byeon Wooseok). You can see how all the people involved in this project poured their hearts and souls to bring this beautiful story together.
Lovely Runner will definitely make you fall in love time and time again, so please watch it, it's an opportunity you shouldn't lose!

A refreshing drama with hint of comedy
Honestly this drama is so good. At first I did not have much expectation as I just finished watching twinkling watermelon and other time travel dramas but this one was just so good. The story is about the girl Im Sol who lost her leg in an unfortunate accident. She resented the person who saved her and thought she was better off dead but turns out that her idol who gave her the motivation to live Ryu Sun Jae is the one who saved her. When Ryu Sun Jae commits suicide Im Sol is devastated and just wants to save Sun Jae and somehow she ends up coming back to year 2008 where Ryu Sun Jae is her neighbour!! She is determined to change their fate but that is not all turns out that from high school Sun Jae has always liked Sol!!
The way they added a sense of humor in it (especially that c*ndom scene) was hilarious.
The story is good too I didn't ven realise that I finished watching 12 episodes in 2 days!!
As for cast...this drama is just eye candy because all the cast are so pretty. Byeon woo seok just stole the whole show with his visuals and his acting? Excuse me but it was so good the female lead too I watched her other drama too like extraordinary you and I have to say she did not disappoint!! All in all this is a must watch drama!!

Beautiful drama
Such a beautiful drama with unique plotline. There are time travelling dramas like marry my husband, perfect marriage revenge where both the leads travel back in time but here its only the Fl . The most sad thing about the leads is sunjae doesn't remember what happened once imsol changes things in past and imsol doesn't remember anything from her 15 years life once she goes to present... What a unique plot.. Loved every bit of this drama.

Kinda long but was worth it..
Honestly I felt the the drama was too long. The frequent timeline changes and the story going in circles at a point, kinda made it boring for me. The ending of the villain felt boring, could have made it a bit better but I guess it was along the lines of a life for a life. The initial episodes were pretty good, the story was enticing, but like with most kdramas, the middle become monotonous. The series could have been wrapped up perfectly in 12 episodes. But the last episode, enduring till the last episode, made everything worth it. It was lovey dovey for sure but it showed what kind of life they both could have lived if it wasn't for the villain. The cute moments stole my heart. On the characters, I have to say that Taesung was the one who won my heart. I loved his character, it provided the comic relief as well as the seriousness. While Sunjae and Sol were loved by everyone, Taeseung and Bae Inhyuk captured my attention more. Overall, all the actors did an amazing job. Would I rewatch it? No. But if you are thinking about watching it, give it a chance, it's a good story with frustrating, happy and sad moments. But all in all, it was worth it.
