Suenaga Shuhei is the vice principal of a high school in Kitakyushu. One day, he has a meal at a restaurant where his ex-student Hiraga Minami works, but he forgets to pay for his meal there. It becomes apparent that Shuhei's memories are fading. He feels like his life isn't going to be the same as it used to be. He wonders if his life was great before his memories began to fade, but it wasn't. He has a chilly relationship with his wife Akiko and his daughter Mayu seems more interested in her smartphone than her family.
