Fortune writer like a scent of time is a hidden gem that is really well made.

Both FLs are villains in fictional stories who get a chance to fight against their fate and find unexpected love in the process. Both are short length dramas.

- In both of this drama is based on a script book where fate is chosen.
- Each character has to play their chosen role. Even if they don't want to they are forced.
- In "Fortnite Writer" the FL is vicious villain, opposite of "A Dream Within a Dream". But female lead try her best to change her role.
- Both ML is also cold and has villain vibes.

FL is in a fictional world in which a writer in hiding.
FL wants to change the plot.
Same vibe overall.

The heroines discover that they are the secondary characters of the novel and want to change their destinies at all costs. Although the Drama is historical, we find this same determination in heroin

Smart and ruthless Female Lead, smart male lead, both FL fight to change the lives. Both FL believe there more to a woman life than marriage and have children.

Both are mini dramas in which the FL is a self aware character in a historical novel, fated for a bad ending, who decides to fight her fate and changes the story. This leads to her becoming entangled with the ML who is initially antagonistic toward her.

Both mini dramas where the female lead realizes she is the vicious side character in a book and tries to change the story. Both sassy and strong females and ends up allied with the supporting male lead that was originally supposed to be the evil character of the story. Both are addictive and fast paced.

Both dramas revolve around the FL’s repeated attempts to defy her fate. Personally, I preferred the plot-writing approach in Fortune Writer~it felt more coherent and realistic.. whereas Above the Clouds turned into a messy, repetitive storyline. In Fortune Writer, the ML discovers the truth much later in the series, adding to the suspense, while in Above the Clouds, he becomes vaguely aware of the situation quite early on.

Nonetheless, both stories are deeply rooted in the same core theme: knowing one’s tragic destiny and desperately trying to rewrite it.

Both are short series, where FL attempts to change their fates after knowing what the future awaits for them

Similar in the sense that the fictional world has rules which the FL struggles against. FLs in both shows are strong, resourceful characters who know what they want and fight against their "fate".
