Unexpectedly great drama
Usually, I don't have high expectations for the short dramas, as they tend to have more plot issues than the long ones. This is definitely not the case here. "Fortune Writer" has impeccable pacing, lots of very emotional scenes, fantastic chemistry, surprising twists and a quite fresh treatment of some usual tropes.
In this last aspect it resembles "Dream within a dream". The ML is not as awsome as Liu Juning, but the FL is absolutely not worse than Li Yitong, and maybe even better. The secondary characters are not so good, but fortunately they don't occupy too much of screen time, so this doesn't really matter.
The idea of rebelling against the Fate / the Writer (as the narrative takes place inside a book) has been already explored, but in this drama it is presented in a different, very entertaing way.
I especially like the fact that the leads are not intrinsicaly good people and the heroine is not trying to become good person and redeem herself. She is just normal, with flaws and virtues, and just try to save herself.
In some points the plot was showing some inconsistencies or seemed to lack logic, but at the end all of it was resolved in a quite acceptable manner, which is a very good result for a story about fiction characters rebelling against their author, as such concept is already logically challenging.
Overall, I think that this drama really merits more attention and higher rating.

Veey inteense drama that packs a punch in a short firmat
I don't truly understand the low reviews but I guess many people didn't like it (here's a truism if there ever was one)The story imo is unique and come from some very, very creative mind.
The heroine is a side character in a world governed by the book of fate which is written by, what we could call, a God of Desire. As long as the characters have strong desires the book will govern the little world.
Our heroine fights the fate at first and pays for it, dearly . She cabnot change her ending.
Then something, something (I won't spoil) and we have a satisfactionary ending.
I really really liked this one. It will sit with me fir a long time and there are not many books/movies/pieces of art that do.
Watch it because it's worth it, even if you hate it and I can't understand why you would it's a short drama and you won't be spending too much time on it.

very underrated- Dont watch the compilation
The storyline is really nice. The main thing that was likable was the backbone of the female lead. I really liked her character. Unfortunately, i watched the compilation instead of the individual episodes, which i strongly do not recommend doing. please watch the individual long episodes from the get go. Towards the end, we see a lots of philosophically charged moments, and i think that this show handled this genre of "im just a character within a story" much much better that even mainstream and popular shows like extraordinary you- albeit lacking a bit in the production quality. We do see some problematic tropes- like forcible kissing and all, but they seem to be used so commonly to depict a 'love-but-hate' relationship that i just skip them. It rare to find a show that doesnt have them at this point.
Daisy Li playing the FL is also quite good- with her performances always being nice. I hope she gets main roles in bigger and better dramas.
Ill admit that i found the ML's performance to be a little woody and not in the same frequency as the FL, but thats ok, cause he's almost a side character, and the story doesnt really focus on him. Although Liu Shang Lin playing Prince Chun, emoted wayy better in the even shorter screentime given to him. idk. The other side characters were ok-ok. FL is the main focus.

Enjoyable all the way through
This program is a short drama with around 10 min per episodes.Despite the short runtime, the story was interesting and enjoyable all the way through, being quite unpredictable at times of what’s to expect next. The acting was fab from all parties and the OST was fitting.
Rewatch, yes, without a doubt

romantic story with parody and dark humor
It was very fresh and intersting story - a dark romance parodying the most common plots in romance dramas. The series also had a lot of visually stunning scenes.I liked that the characters weren't one-dimensional. The heroine was very bad, but not entirely. Her sister was like angel, but not entirely. Experiences change them both, but their character remains unchanged.
