After a prologue starting "five years before", when the actress and the doctor accidentally bumped into each other (in a generic European looking country, moments before a bomb went off), Qin Fei, her assistant Ke Feifei, Dr. Xing Zhizhi and a team of volunteers from Hexi hospital arrived in the area where Qin Fei was to donate a special and costly surgical knife together with working for 2 weeks as celebrity volunteer with Linkang Hospital. Almost immediately, she had to face a disaster and help the doctor rescuing a wounded child.
Most of the characters are introduced, including entertainment company agent Ren Siqi before the team left Hexi, where Ren Siqi had sorted out a misunderstanding when Qin Fei turned aggressive against the person she mistook for a fan crossing the lines.
