Single mother Kariya Mako returns to her job as a contract editor for an economic magazine after her divorce and is in charge of a series on the theme of "women's poverty". However, she is irritated by the interview attitude of freelance writer Sakita Yuji, who was introduced to her, and they clash. Meanwhile, an interview article with Hirota Yuka, who works in the sex industry to attend a national university's medical school, goes viral. Mako ignores Yuji's objections and asks Yuka to apologize and delete the article, but she is made to realize her own shallowness and prejudice when she hears unexpected words from Yuka herself.
