Single mother Kariya Mako returns to her job as a contract editor for an economic magazine after her divorce and is in charge of a series on the theme of "women's poverty". However, she is irritated by the interview attitude of freelance writer Sakita Yuji, who was introduced to her, and they clash. Meanwhile, an interview article with Hirota Yuka, who works in the sex industry to attend a national university's medical school, goes viral. Mako ignores Yuji's objections and asks Yuka to apologize and delete the article, but she is made to realize her own shallowness and prejudice when she hears unexpected words from Yuka herself. Mako, sensing Yuji's determination as a writer, begins to interview people who are struggling to survive, such as those who are caring for relatives, those who are sexually abused by their parents, those who are victims of power and moral harassment, the reality of reemployment, and problems with family registry and schooling. At the same time, Mako, who struggles to raise her child under unstable employment, becomes aware that "poverty" is not just something that happens to other people... Reviews

behind the scenes of sexual work
i just finished this dramait’s a 25 minutes 6 episodes drama that talks about women poverty that leads to sexual work, but it’s also about the struggles that some women have to do to live a decent life.
i really liked the dynamic between the protagonist and sakita yuji, the man that helped the protagonist to interview and write the articles about these women.
i also liked the women’s stories and the protagonist story that wasn’t also very easy itself. i also liked the final episode that it’s unusual for me o(≧▽≦)o
obviously it talks about themes that may not be easy and light, but i think that the 7.5 rating is too low. i personally gave a 9, it may be too high for someone, but i think that more people should watch this drama
