disappointed

This drama started off really well in my opinion and had great potential, but I quickly lost interest in the leads, mainly due to poor character development and the glaring incompatibility between the ML and FL.

The side stories are entertaining, and the second leads are adorable, which kept me motivated to finish the series. However, the dynamic between the FL and ML was really off-putting. Their relationship felt unbalanced and infantilizing: the FL seemed entirely self-centered and focused on her work, while the ML came across as a lost puppy, willing to sacrifice everything for her. I have no issue with her being career-driven or less empathetic (I actually LOVE that), but their relationship simply didn’t make sense and felt completely one-sided.

The final episodes seemed rushed, which only added to the disappointment. All in all, wasted potential.

On the bright side, though, the casting was great and I really loved the sisters' dynamic.

Started off well but ended up boring

The series started on good note but after 5 or 6 episodes it was very predictable and became boring to watch. I hated the episodes with the character Ms. Cha
The character has no base to be likeable and was written in a bad way. Though that character didn't had anything significant to do in that series, they maintained it till the end. It shud have been a 6 Episodes mini series.

Simply in love with this series!

the real romantic comedy! From chapters 1 to 10, everything was incredible, the plot was fun, light, funny, I started watching because of the trailer and I loved the main characters. The main couple's irritation at the beginning was very funny, the protagonist boy flirting with the protagonist girl was simply wonderful, I simply loved their romance, but then in the last two episodes the screenwriter commits disrespect towards the main couple and the viewer, by including many more scenes of the secondary couple and giving crumbs of 3 seconds in the last episode of the main couple, I was very angry, so much so that at first I was looking forward to the spin-off of the secondary couple but after this disrespect in the last two episodes of no gain no love, I lost the desire to watch the spin-off!

Heal boosting drama

Just finished watching it now.. Successfully wasted 12hrs but it was worth watching. I needed this sort of boost and healing. My all-time fav couple trope- Ambitious witty alpha female & Warm dependable shy male... Other casts are just hilarious. Wish to see further seasons, this drama shouldn't end!!!

I have finally decided to drop this drama...

Many may be confused why I waited every week for the episodes and then just gave up on episode 10, so I want to clearly want to explain my thought on this narrative.

This story felt like a slice of life comedy since no matter what dramatic situation the character was in there was a bit of a comical twist as well as a deep topic with a dark turn.

Example:
One of the fl sister is in a polyamorous relationship, the fl found out and thought one of the sister's partners was cheating and beat him up with rage (filmed in a comical way from the exaggerated attacks comical) then finds out she is pregnant.
Another of her sister wrote spicy novels and a the CEO finds out his mum read it so spammed it with hate from shock. While serving his community service from the hate comments their romance arc started but then it touched on the sisters trauma with the harshness of the comments leading to her abusive dad.
In conclusion the side plot bought in dark situations from everyday life but added some comical element to not make the side story not too dark.

Or some stories are just comical e.g the fl planning a wedding just to get her cheating ex boyfriend's wedding money back

But all of these drastically contrasted the main plot e.g. the potential chaebol that became an orphan who is now looking for revenge is just deeply contrasts all the other topics written in the show and makes it seem so dramatic because it really stuck out for me. Which was not funny, just serious and very stereotypical. I think this just really put me off because they primarily shifted the focus to that plot which annoyed me.

In summary this is MY OPINION about this drama, I honestly found the main plot , the whole chaebol thingy just so boring because it is a very saturated market and has been around since for ever so I got bored and decided to drop it...

Well, look at the bright side: at least it's over!

I recently spent some time watching older Kdramas and now I'm sure Korea has lost its touch because the worst shows of 2020 were far better than the star-studded ones we are getting nowadays. I have to say, I'm really sad about this one. It started out so funny but there wwas simply not enough plot or personality to this show for it to go on for 12 episodes. I know! I'm shocked! Usually, 12-episode dramas are a safe bet, but this one was so substance-less that even 12 episodes were too many for it! This show had a premise that could cover 4 episodes of its runtime. That's it! Maybe they should've made a movie instead...

So funny, the show is supposed to follow a career-driven FL who doesn't have any interest in marriage, but sick of having to give congratulatory gifts to all her friends and family who are getting married (and to advance in her career), she decides to hold a sham wedding to receive some money gifts. Now, I don't want to get stuck on the technicalities but that seems like a bad idea because the cost of holding a wedding is simply not worth the gifts. What if people give little to no money?! Or don't show up at all? A risky plan. Plus, she had to pay her fake husband, too! None of this made sense.
But whatever. It's a kdrama! We accept some silliness.
Okay, but that plot ended in like 4 episodes?! And then that was it?! The rest of the show is just boring, unnecessary drama. And then they had to whitewash a shrew female lead by making it sound like she wasn't even after the money at all, and it's like...okay, you couldn't tolerate an economically ambitious woman for 12 episodes?!

To add insult to injury, this was a bland pairing. No chemistry at all and then the show barely has them go through any shenanigans together to build a connection. Their level of romantic potential was below zero. I mean, why? Why would these two like each other? They were incompatible and not in that cutesy enemies-to-lovers but make it silly and light way. They were simply two people who made no sense together in any shape or form. Their personalities, where they are in life, their issues and hang-ups, none of it was compatible or complementary. And the show doesn't even try to sell it. They just want us to accept their lackluster tropes as an explanation of their love. Seriously, writers need to stop abusing tropes like this. A shorthand for sexual tension doesn't actually invent sexual tension. You can't play a sexy song while shaking a cabbage at the camera and expect people to get horny (idk, maybe that's someone's niche kink but they're the exception here...) My point is, you have to actually work for it. Create a romantic connection. No. Childhood connection is NOT a romantic connection either jkbd, welkwe
I am so mad...the humor was good at first, but that dried up too.

And pathetically, the best part of this show was the second couple. That's just atrocious! Like they had a nice dynamic but the show isn't even about them...

I feel like the main actors failed acting-wise. It's a shame. I don't dislike these people but they looked as in love as two doorknobs. What was that?! If they had good acting moments, then I no longer remember them. Only the bad stuff linger.

The rest...it was a bad show. Skip it.

good watch!

I started this late while it was airing, around 4 days after episode 10 dropped. Within a day, I had already binged all the available episodes and as soon as episode 11 and 12 were released, I had finished it. It was hooking and addicting and I have that hangover feeling you get after watching a great drama lingering.

This goes over adult themes many kdramas don't mention which gives it a fresh charm to it. I really liked how open everyone was about sex!

There's many of the common cliches and tropes, but they're done well and still manage to entertain.

This I would say, is a TRUE romcom. The jokes are incorporated into the script well, and honestly it's all really funny. Many people said they were laughing every episode. Even though I wouldn't say I laughed EVERY episode, I did laugh in many of them! Moving on, the romance is there. Do not be deterred by the age gap between the ML and FL, because the chemistry is very visible. I even felt it. This pairing was amazing, they compliment each other so well. Shin Min-Ah is just absolutely an amazing actress with stunning visuals. I really liked her outfits, her hair and her overall appearance in this drama. She really is a star in comedy. Kim Young-dae was amazing here as well. Don't even get me started on his visuals! LOL. I really enjoyed his acting here.

The second-lead couple was also really great. It was nice to see Lee Sang-yi again after My Demon. Han Ji-hyun is new to me and I'll check out some of her other roles because I've grown fond of acting in this drama. This couple also got a lot of screen-time. Their trope is also sorta enemies to lovers?

The characters are pretty well fleshed-out.

This drama has pretty good writing, especially in the first half, and a great ost.

DISLIKES:

I do feel like the ending was pretty rushed in the last episode. For both couples. But the second-couple got more screen time than the main couple in the last episode. And they also get a spin-off, it was sort of disappointing. Nonetheless, it's still definitely worth watching this drama.

The killer plot is a bit unnecessary and the final episodes were not all that good. It felt underdeveloped.

OVERALL:
This was a great watch. The couples both had amazing chemistry, it was funny and it has an amazing plot, for the most part.

Choppy

The first few episodes are the best from the series, then it kinda goes "meh" with some highlight moments in between. The story overall is intriguing enough. But the script and editing feels choppy, with no easy flow. The last 2 episodes also, it feels there is a rush to wrap things up with ultimately a predictable lukewarm ending. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the hype for the series. Lastly, I was surprised from the Spice up our Love crossover.

hands down, one of the best dramas to come out this year

I honestly never thought I would find a drama that doesn't fumble the ending after the past year. Not to mention the crazy good writing.

Though wrapped in a rom-com package, this series deals with mother-daughter dynamics & issues, female struggles in the workforce, prejudice, responsibilities, found family AND even includes polyamory and the importance of deciding to keep a pregnancy?? (only to mention a few)

Haven't been so swaped off my feet since Twinkling Watermenlon. imma go force everyone to watch it, bye

Best RomCom so far!

Love this series! If you're looking for a K-drama that's very light yet very warm, this is it! All the actors are excellent at portraying their characters. Kim Young-dae was so charming here; I fell in love with him right then and there. And Shin Min Ah, as expected, is always phenomenal at her acting. I laughed so much, and their story is realistic and relatable.
The only thing I could complain about is the finale. I wished they'd prolonged or added more scenes between Ji Uk and Hae Young. I would love to see more scenes of them being affectionate after reconciling, perhaps re-marrying again and building their family.
Other than that, I'm mostly satisfied. Oh, and didn't I say already that it's the best rom-com ever? You'll never regret watching it, I swear!

This Show Has My Whole Heart. !! ^o^

Okay, you guys, I have to talk about "No Gain, No Love" because I am completely and utterly obsessed. If you're a sucker for a good fake marriage story like I am, this drama is literally everything you could ever want and more. It takes our favorite trope and makes it feel fresh, funny, and so incredibly sweet.

First off, the chemistry between Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae is just off the charts. Seriously. From their very first bickering interaction, I was hooked. She plays Son Hae-young, a woman who hates losing out on anything, and he’s Kim Ji-wook, the kind-hearted convenience store worker she ropes into her scheme. The way they go from a purely business arrangement to genuinely caring for each other is paced so perfectly. The slow burn is agonizing in the best way possible, and every time they have a scene together, you can just feel the sparks.

What I love most is that while it's hilarious, it also has so much heart. You really understand why they're doing what they're doing, and you root for them not just as a couple, but as individuals. The story never gets boring, the side characters are amazing, and the music? Perfect. It hits you right in the feels every single time.

Honestly, I already know I'm going to rewatch this a million times. It’s that cozy, feel-good drama that just makes you happy. If you're looking for a top-tier rom-com with a fantastic cast and a story that will make you swoon, this is it. An absolute 10/10, no question
