A tridute to Jeju Island
Even if you've never visited Jeju, after this drama you will feel like you know everything about it. A story with the feel of a small community in the country, very similar to other dramas of that type. Childhood friends to lovers that broke up and give a second chance to their relationship. Interesting aspect were the haenyeo "gang". Drama with a lot of emotional and sometime funny moments. The chemistry of the couple felt extremely natural, so I won't be surprised if in the future there are news about a real life romance between two actors.Was this review helpful to you?
Endearing romance
This show was everything I expected it to be. I liked the concept( childhood friends to lovers) and the chemistry of the couple the most. You will appreciate the more heartfelt moments as they give a deeper depth to the story. In the beginning there are a lot of good comedic scenes, but then the show focuses on more the reality of life and love. It wasn't a 10/10 show for me, but I get why it was talked about so much.Was this review helpful to you?
Unpopular opinion
I think this show is over hyped, because there was not an equal beside it now. The acting was nice, the ML was the best by far from the cast. Production was as it should. Also, ost went completely unnoticed to me. However the script was the main "problem" in my opinion. Borderline ridiculous at times, with basic and boring dialogues. I couldn't even persive the special effects -reactions to the food as funny. Exasperated to the max. If only this show was written differently, then it would have objectively been a really good one.Was this review helpful to you?
Exceptional!
If you watch only ONE romantic series in your life, this should be it! The story, the actors, the chemistry of the couple, everything was just right. I have read some things, but I hope we will get to see the actors in another series again. This show has everything a romantic heart wants and desires. Peculiar humor with a certain charm
A wannabe police comedy with a peculiar silly humor and a slight retro feel. Production was as it should, as also the ost. The acting was not bad and I kinda "saved" the weak script a little. About 40 minutes episodes, most open ending that lack cohesive flow a lot. I enjoyed the last 4 episodes, because they seemed more put together. The overall story was unoriginal, but still little charming. The plot twist was very easy to predict, but I appreciate the writer's effort.Was this review helpful to you?
True comedy
Another favourite. The fml actress is hilarious in her role. The second lead was a heartthrob and a half. The overall concept and story felt original to me. The song though.. that damn song that plays in almost every episode? It got to my damn nerves. I don't want to hear it ever again! It wan not that good either. Good chemistry between leads in both seasons.
I liked it even more than season 1. Even though season 1 was more funny than season 2 and I adored Mudeok. It was because this season was more romantic and focused on the couple. I wanted more for Jin Buyeon though. An alternative ending for her. I was still hoping for the actress of season 1 to have a lengthy and active part in this season 2, but alas. Slow burn romance
Enemies to lovers story through an arranged marriage. Stunning visual-the costume and makeup department really needs applause for this show- and good chemistry between the leads. Very easy to watch each episode. Smooth flow throughout the story. The ost is good with the theme song being played often and make it stand out.Was this review helpful to you?
Emotional contemporary romance
This drama is like a love poem. From the production and music to the script and acting. The couple's chemistry IS there, but is very subtle. I don't know if it is intentional or not, but the distance kinda works better for some scenes. A contemporary young romance with angst and misuderstandings. Cultural differences and everyday survival takes its toll. An open ending that leads to a promising future years later. Sometimes the person is right, but not the timing. I am sure you have heard it before. In conclusion maturity plays significant role in making us understand others and ourselves better.Was this review helpful to you?
Choppy
The first few episodes are the best from the series, then it kinda goes "meh" with some highlight moments in between. The story overall is intriguing enough. But the script and editing feels choppy, with no easy flow. The last 2 episodes also, it feels there is a rush to wrap things up with ultimately a predictable lukewarm ending. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the hype for the series. Lastly, I was surprised from the Spice up our Love crossover.Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting story but PG 13 on the romance
The story is intriguing and presses the social boundaries of what's normal and what's not. The drama's lesson is about being your true self and feel confident about it. That being said, you get a very lightweight PG 13 romance from this show, even though the ML gives intense vibes. By the way, he is so gorgeous! I guess conservative scenes it is something to be expected to in Japanese dramas. The main theme song was very nice on the ears too. Suitable for younger audience.Was this review helpful to you?
The fashion choices omg!
You forget that those hairstyles and clothes were everywhere 20 years ago! The fashion was more eye-catching than the actors' acting at times. The story's concept is interesting, the soundtrack good and the production of the show fitting for those times. But the acting was mediocre at best. Still, I get why back then this drama was very loved. The romantic cliches always "sell". I also have to point out that the ending was so unsatisfying and fell flat.Was this review helpful to you?

You will not miss anything if you don't watch it. The actress is good, but that is the only thing that stands out. Cute light story of childhood friends/first love and the misunderstandings that come with it. Script and overall vibes very mediocre. Cast other than the fl was also just ok. The FL is a variety show pd, a job that it seems to me kinda overplayed in kdramas. The ML in the other hand a poor turned rich cliche. Close to perfection
A drama that will make your heart race for sure. A thrilling rollercoaster that it's about a second chance romance of the highest degree, interwoven with a twisted villainous plot. The villains in this show are simply put, deranged. The script is very good and the acting even better. I enjoyed the comedy in it as much as the complexity of the script. The story is predictable and yet it catches you off guard at times. Good chemistry between the couple. Overall a drama very close to perfection and YET, it feels like I am not completely satisfied as a viewer. Worth the hype nevertheless.Was this review helpful to you?

A lot better than what I was expecting! The actors did a good job. It was funny and lighthearted, but at the same time it is conveying serious societal issues.
