This causes emotions to intensify, and the plotting duo take advantage of Su Yi Shui’s augmented jealousy. This makes the latter susceptible to turning evil in spite of having a golden core.

seems like FL just giving in this relationship as of now even before the flashback ML thought FL betrayed him but pretty sure what the FL does in this flashback saved him at the cost of her life(Episode 1 she died)

She's trying to protect him by removing the drop of that spell. But he's sobbing and asking her not to do that to him, he gave his 10 years to suppress it and he'll learn how to do it more. But she's set on finding a solution for him.
