Worth every moment watching and re-watching Zhao Jinmai and Song Weilong!
For someone who usually waits until a series finishes before I watched, I could not help but to binge watch when the episodes were released two at a at time at 4am and sometimes one at a time. It was agonizing. But someone was right, went back and rewatched once all the episodes were released to get all the nuances. If you like Gu Man’s other drama made from her books such as Love O2O and You Are My Glory, this drama did not disappoint. Well written and adapted and with the communist propaganda in episode 25. I am only looking for sweet rom-com. Not politics.
But noteworthy episodes are episode 24, 30 and 33. Zhao Jinmai is a young actress, but OH MY! Can she act!! Song Weilong was a favorite of mine as he was so hot in Find Yourself and Go Ahead. Some people say he is stiff. He is not. Healthy love drama with sweet unwavering support from ML as FL goes from young, carefree college student to workplace professional in new technology world while balancing divorced parents and romance.

Nice storylines and characters development
I really love this story. The drama some people said it’s too slow but I think the timelines is just right, the leads get to meet and know each other more day by day, that makes every line, every love and kiss scene worth the wait. I like that main characters are mature enough to declare their love when they’re totally ready, not just jump to each other like short dramas.Perfect drama for starting new year, I watched it when i was airing and the wait was killing me, but now it fully realeashed so it perfect to watch.

Another masterpiece from Gu Man
Although it's a bit low budget, the story, music, cast, and acting all made up for it. It's a heartwarming and feel-good romantic story wherein both the main leads are both gifted and excellent characters. I like how misunderstandings were immediately addressed and not painfully dragged on like in usual dramas. Lots of sweet moments, enough for some viewers to comment that they're getting diabetes! 😆Was this review helpful to you?
Perfect Love Story for all Romantic people out there
"This C-drama is truly one of a kind! I loved watching their love story progress naturally: from the first time they held hands to their first kiss. It feels like you’re witnessing their entire relationship unfold from the very beginning, which made me feel so deeply attached to them.
Yusen’s character made me want to find someone just as gentle, respectful, and patient. The story helped me realize that the 'pursuing' stage is something to be enjoyed while getting to know someone. If you aren't a fan of slow-burn romance, this might not be for you, but for a romance lover like me, it was a perfect fit. I’d love to have a love life just like theirs!
Zhao Jinmai (Xiguang) and Song Weilong (Yusen) have incredible chemistry. They are so perfect for these roles that I can’t imagine anyone else playing them; they made the story feel realistic and beautiful."

Shine On Me Review: A Beautiful Journey of Love, Growth, and Dreams
Shine On Me is a beautifully crafted Chinese drama that delivers both emotional depth and strong storytelling. The series stands out for its well-developed characters, realistic relationships, and meaningful life lessons. Each episode keeps you engaged, balancing romance, personal growth, and heartfelt moments. The lead actors have excellent chemistry, making their relationship feel natural and sincere. Their performances add authenticity to every scene, especially during emotional and challenging moments. The supporting cast also contributes greatly, creating a rich and dynamic storyline.
What makes Shine On Me truly special is its inspiring message about perseverance, self-love, and chasing one’s dreams. The pacing is smooth, and the cinematography enhances the overall viewing experience with its warm and aesthetic visuals.
Although a few scenes may feel slightly predictable, they do not take away from the drama’s overall impact. The strong script, relatable themes, and emotional connection more than make up for it.
Overall, Shine On Me is a highly recommended drama for fans of romance and slice-of-life stories. It leaves a lasting impression and is definitely worth watching. 💖

Nice working place drama
I really enjoy this drama especially working place related drama. Zhao jinmai nails again for her roles & her acting never disappointing me. Her acting is so natural not so cringe like some 30 years old but act like little baby. Unlikely Yu shuxin drama Speed & Love, I enjoy this one more & looking forward for next episodes. I like how they explain our female lead from college life to working place from graduation to job interview and starting working. Was this review helpful to you?

From a rich spoiled kid to letting go of past regrets to becoming a new energy business boss
This is a good show. It really is. Despite my initial frustrations at the FL. Nie Xiguang’s lack of awareness and archetypal spoiled rich kid. the second half of the show was extremely good except for the last episode. This is the reason why I gave it a 7.5 because I feel giving it an 8 endorses this as a must watch but I can’t say that because of how they handled the last episode but I will get to that. Our ML. Yin Lusen is a Doctor who has a car accident which ruins his left hand so he can’t operate anymore and goes into business with the backing of his powerful and influential family, even though, as his mothers son, he doesn’t have any inheritance rights. The FL is a college student also from a very influential and powerful family.
My initial frustration is the set up for the show where we see the spoiled rich kid female lead going into the workplace where she’s working alongside the ML yet she shows him no respect is constantly defensive and the atmosphere is pretty hostile if not a little toxic.
It turns out he’s always been in love with her and because her father’s first love’s daughter has been using her name for clout he misunderstands that his accident was caused because she wanted to see him and he was a little resentful to her because she never visited him in hospital but it turns out it was all a misunderstanding due to that wicked stepdaughter trope.
Anyway, one of my other really frustrating points about this show and I don’t know if this was by design but it feel again like another status quo propaganda piece from China. If you’re rich and powerful then anybody beneath you is not worthy of you. That was the impression you got from the 2ML, even though the FL had been pursuing him and he did like her, he could never tell her because he didn’t think he was worthy of her because he was from a poor family.
What was interesting after she started dating the FL and there was a big confrontation with the 2ML she said something that really disturbed me.
After he was too late in confessing to her and became a bit obsessed and mad, she made the point that she would’ve chosen the ML anyway because they were always going to be together. I don’t know if this was intentional, but it really reinforced that trope of status and power only belong together and if you’re below that you can just forget about it.
Anyway, we see the FL going from this very spoiled shielded up bringing little girl, with a stunning lack of self-awareness into this slow burn growth arc, becoming a powerful business woman with clear goals and ability. Our ML went back into medicine and became a leading figure in his field.
The main problem why I had to deduct points is because of the last episode. The time jumps just got totally out of hand.
It’s like the writers forgot that this was set around 2012 2013 and they needed to catch up so they just decided to throw it all into the last episode.
Firstly, we jumped two years to their wedding and we watched that for 30 seconds and I thought, okay, that’s fine.
Then incredibly, we jumped 10 years to 2025 and I thought, okay that’s fine, I guess, because the technology that they were trying to develop was in its infancy so they needed to catch up to modern times and I thought, fair enough. Just about. We watched that for about a minute.
Then inexplicably, we jumped another three years to 2028.
I’m not really sure why they did that because all these people now are near their 40s but of course, haven’t aged a day since 2012,
The other thing that slightly bothered me was the FL was in Saudi Arabia signing a big deal for this new energy business and when she came back I got the impression she’s been away for quite awhile because when they were talking to their little daughter, she wasn’t aware of her academic development, which is a bit troubling.
Also this last episode plodded along and it was just the two of them reminiscing about the good old days.
They made a bit of a mess of it so I can only give it a 7.5 as it is good but it is definitely not a must watch.

Amaze Max Drama with Extraordinary Performances
The leads were extraordinary. The SML was annoying, but that is his character and he played it well. This drama is definitely a 10/10 in every aspect. The OST was amaze max, and I would definitely recommend it.SWL can and should have this drama in his resume as his USP. I have seen his growth from Find Yourself (which I did not like), then an improvement in Go Ahead. Later, I missed him as there were many other dramas and actors who were a step ahead. But this drama completely changed that. SWL as Lin Yusen was amazing, truly amaze max.
As usual, Jinmai was great, but my most favorite character was Jin Rui. I absolutely loved him and he truly felt like her younger brother.

MUST WATCH C-DRAMA - BEAUTIFUL & MOTIVATIONAL!
I loved the actors, their acting, the storyline, the OSTs and the dialogues. Everything was on point. The message was beautiful, the whole sense of being human, our complex emotions, falling in and out of love, dealing with trauma and regrets, nepo kids tag, the struggle and rising again- all depicted beautifully in this one drama. It will never feel boring or difficult. The story just flows naturally, and is not your usual romantic drama. It's much more than that. There are layers to it and all characters are so well-developed. The 36 Eps will make you feel a lot of emotions deeply and yes, you will gain very much clarity about life and our existence. You can pick and watch this drama at any point of your life, and it will surely heal you (or atleast bring some sense!).
I loved the whole plot. The accident and the misunderstandings, Changbai mountain sequence, their dating era, and building their career era. I loved how the ML didn't give up on medicine even after injuring his hand, and found an alternative way out through medicine. He prioritized his passion over business/other career options. FL was the best from the start, always taking stand and always dedicated to her work. I loved her grandparents, and uncle-aunt, and her cousin!
The drama involves a lot of locations and spans over many years. It shows the growth, the lessons, the restart, the challenges and the dreams. I would highly recommend watching this drama. There are no extra plots or messy character relationships, it will not be a time waste definitely. You will love the snow and the warmth. The color of friendships, family and love - all at once! One of the best written c-dramas and the acting was top notch. You will love all the characters and try to look beyond them. Don't hesitate, just start the drama & get ready to feel the blossoms!

Love story that is worth watching.
One of the most complete story/drama I’ve watched so far because it ended with the male and female lead settled both in marriage life and their careers. This genre is right up my alley. A slow burn but they were flirting along the way. It also showed what became of the other characters in the story in the ending. The chemistry between the male and female lead is good and their acting is great. The sound tracks are very on point and the visuals are not bad.Looking forward to seeing more dramas like this in the future.
