Happy times… unhappy times… happy times!

I had so many thoughts and feelings whilst watching Love Mechanics and I still do even after finishing. Some of the characters’ actions were definitely questionable. Vee can be a bit impulsive and not think things through fully but he’s definitely not a bad person at all, if he thought about things, was a bit more honest from the very beginning, I think things would go a lot more smoothly. Mark, honestly at the beginning and kind of throughout, I feel like he sets himself up for heartbreak. But the two of them went through a lot… A LOT… and they learnt to love each other more and respect each other more, would I still worry about the characters in the future? Yes… and because of this, I would LOVE to see a second season of Love Mechanics. We got happy moments but they were soon ruined by bad things that happened. So I want to see more of Vee and Mark having happier moments and memories. Also, Vee’s parents… BL parent goals. His father’s advice, his mother’s support. What a great family! I really loved this drama but I do wish we can have another season of them! Because War and Yin are such GREAT actors!!

Mark and Vee have my heart

Okay y'all this story starts out morally gray. It's shady as hell and shouldn't be discounted... but, Mark and Vee have my heart. The story was juicy and I always wanted to see what mess Vee would make them get into. I loved their dynamic and even though Vee is the worst, the writers do an awesome job of endearing him to the viewers. War plays Mark beautifully and his eyes truly stole the show. The ending is one of the most satisfying things I've watched ever period. You really feel that Mark and Vee deserve each other and can sustain despite all of the drama and shadiness at the beginning of the story. I loved it.

Honestly, although I do not love the story itself, the chemistry between the two leads is what made me so invested in the series.
Their on and off relationship frustrated the hell out of me,however the last few episodes felt like a reward for all that frustration and confusion.
As I said, their chemistry was definitely the biggest strength of this series and the reason that made me so engaged and even encouraged me to re-watch it a couple of times. In conclusion,I recommend people to watch it,but not to expect too much.

Worth the watch even if you didn't like their en of love series!

I did not enjoy their En of Love series, but I thought I'd give this a shot because YinWar do chemistry so well, and I'm glad I did. The time allowed in a full length series is much better suited to the story, and allowed for a much better plot, more natural pacing, and better resolution to plot points. I don't care for cheating plots in general, and I still stand by that, but I think this series did a decent job of working through it with more realistic and compelling resolutions. The chemistry is, of course, phenomenal, and both Yin and War acted very well in this series. In the time between the En of Love special and this series they both really matured as actors and it came through in this. There's lots of tears, but the full length series also gave us a chance to see them happy together which I really appreciate. It's a true drama though, so be prepared for some tense moments, crying, and broken hears. If you haven't seen the original, I would honestly recommend skipping it and just watching this one. I encourage anybody to give this series a shot, regardless of whether you've seen (even if you didn't like) the original!

SOAP OPERA nonsense is unbearable, but worth it if you like the lads

Love Mechanics?

Sounds like a name for some hot pron video, but that is not it. Though cute actors and their play is basically the only merit in both cases, considering how much of the story is not making sense.

HAD TO DROP it after episode 4 because they have expanded the original “En” short story from 2020 into idiotic soap opera drag that grates me to no end. The script writers are using every lame way to stop the plot from moving, and after a random “jump the shark” accident I could not bear it any more.

* * *

The series is using a trope that is not believable at all: drunk people who can still communicate confuse the person whom they love with someone else, which is not a thing in reality. Face recognition is the most reliable neural network in the brain, especially if the love is involved.

What really happens in stories like this is that a drunk person is not drunk enough to be sedated, so he still wants to have fun and does not mind if a person providing it is not the one whom he loves. “I thought it was you, my love” is the lie cheaters come up with when they get caught. (No cheating here, though.)

A very good recreation of the short series

For those who are wondering, this series is a *happy ending*
TAGS: Supportive parents, Cheating, College life, Poor x rich

First off, in this recreation, Vee is still a bastard. This time he is shameless as well hahahaha. But Yin's acting improved a lot. In the 3.5-episode series, Yin is overpowered by War's excellent acting but in this one, his facial expressions are more expressive as well as his diction.

For me, Nuea is still the best for Mark hahaha. Nuea is such a sweet guy and Yihwa is still so savage.

I didnt like that they removed James role as a supportive bestfriend, but I liked that the seniors took good care of Mark. Ploy is a great actress as well. This time, the first episodes didnt made it seem that she was already cheating. She looks so innocent.

I am very glad about the cinematography of this series. It is almost like ITSAY when it comes to lighting and camera angles. Everything is screenshot worthy. Add to that the length of each episode which really explained the missing parts of the short series.

Emotional, satisfying and beautifully written

Wow! What a ride this series was from start to finish. This is how angst is done. When I first heard that the original miniseries was gonna get a full series: I was skeptical. To be honest I wasn't much of a fan of the original so I wasn't expecting much. To say I was pleasently surprised is an understatement. Although the story/plot can be considered the normal cliched one: Love Mechanics was more than that. I enjoyed how fleshed out everything was. The characters weren't cardboard cutouts, they were layered and multifaceted. That's what made them real. Vee could be frustrating at times but at the same time the audience could see and understand his inner struggle. Like wise with Mark sometimes he made people want to hit him, when he didn't stand up for himself but like with Vee it was understandable why he put up with Vee's bs. That's the makings of good writing. Not to mention how well War and Yin portrayed their characters. I wasn't a fan of their acting in the miniseries but I loved them here. Both grew so much as actors and were able to transmit everything and make the audience feel with the characters were. They are in my top actors list now. The rest of the cast was good too.
The ending was incredibly satisfying in the end everything leading up to it made sense. I also loved how the boys father's were layered. All the characters felt real on Love Mechanics. So much so that it's hard to say goodbye. And for that reason and how good the writing is it's going in my top of the year. The series may not be perfect to everyone but it was to me.
That's why OVERALL I give it a 10. Definitely going in my rewatch list too.

Geez it was good but...

During the airing of this series I posted a few times stating I did not like Marks charcter and Even with his flaws I liked and admired Vee more. To me Mark's passive agressiveness and lack of uncoditional love was not presented in a psoitive manor. His crying because of the compliacations surrounding his feeling for a guy who has a grilfriend was sophmopric at best. What did he expect? Vee was passionate and actually had good charcteristics that the weries tryied to show as an issue. For example when he went to break up with ploy and got beat up and wound up in the hsopital. Mark saw then kssing and ran away and cried. To me defending an exgrilfriend who was being abused is a good quality. Someone who runs away and refusing to talk to someone who defended an ex-GF who got beat up and went to the hspital is not a good person. Seems like they were trying to get the audience to feel sorry for Mark but I fgelt sorry for Vee. why didn;t mark go up to Vee and say I heard you got beat up and were in the hospital, you seem ok...and why are you kissing her you when yuo know she was ceating on you. Anyway, I shouldn't rewrtie the script. Secondary charcters were in and out too much and they should have been develoed more.
If it wasn't for Vee I would have dropped this series. Yin is a good actor. In my opinion Vee was way more likeable than Mark. There is apost thalks about how the weries deviated away from the Novel and confused some story lines. It shows.

Refreshing

Don't expect any plot or logic. If you like YinWar, just go for it. Loved it. A roller-coaster ride. One time watchable.
Both the leads were really good as usual. Their chemistry was the only thing that made me to finish the series. Music was good and relaxing. The emotions they show really hit me. There are some negative reviews as there are no logic or plot, but sometimes IT'S OKAY to watch these kind of movies. It purely depends on individual's taste and likes. So, I suggest to watch it if you like YinWar.

"Couldn't change the past, but is going to make present the best"

This was dope, I thought I enjoyed the 4 episodes version but this one was even better.
I love Mark, I'm 98% sure is an ISFP ahahaha and I love that, he was always my favourite character and continues to be, he's a baby that must be protected at all costs ahahha
Vee, I really hated him in the 4 episodes version but in this series, where we can finally see something else from Vee, he slays... he was awful at the beginning, he cheated his girlfriend, he sort of took advantage of Mark when he was drunk and made him feel miserable a lot of times but Vee also suffered, not trying to avoid the red flags that he has, but he has a heart too and this version show us this.
Their chemistry as a couple is f*cking amazing, Anan acting is awesome but War's something really is something, especially in sad scenes.
It's been a while since I felt butterflies watching a make out scene but hey they did it, and the "neck grabbing" thing is really hot.
Ah and I almost forgot about our (BL fans) bestie.... the freaking unlocked door ahahah after so long she came back kkkk... talking about bestie Neua is the man of my life, I'm gonna pray that sometime in the future I can have someone half as good as Neua <3

I LOVED everything about this

The way it started, the drama, the eb and flow of trying to go forward, the ending. It was perfection! One that you don't want to end but you can't stop yourself from binging through.

I loved the characters, I loved the dark way Vee and Mark ended up in that situation. The misunderstandings were understandable for once. Although of course a good talk it out would have done wonders, we understood why the trust issues would be a huge red flag. Both characters had SO much personality and both were run on emotions which made for a wild ride. I hope they continue this series and expand another story from the mini series, but this couple was amazing.

Mark/War did an amazing job on his facial expressions, and I was obsessed with them.
Vee's hopeless romantic ridiculousness was EVERYTHING.

Loved: Love to hate, messed up first encounter, drama, the ending. The cast of characters! This was based in a college and I LOVED all of their friends and how homey their friendship felt. They felt like real people.

Didn't Like: That dang girlfriend hahahahaha, and how long it took for a certain relationship to end
