Interesting series, but fells short.
It's a good series with an interesting storyline. I enjoyed the actors and the chemistry they share but fells short on storyline and development. It's very toxic at times and not a big fan of the lead couple. There is stalking, cheating and lies with the lead couple. To much to want to handle. I wish they did a better job with story and couple. It's a messed up start with the sleeping with someone and the person is to drunk to know they are sleeping with the guy he likes friend and the friend knows it and does not say anything about them continue to stalk him and then sleep with him and still have a cheating girlfriend too. Way to much toxic relationship. Was this review helpful to you?
Definitely in my top 10.
As someone who watched the original I was skeptical if it would be better or even just okay in general. This was amazing!! I loved the couple plus every episode made me crave for the next episode. At the same time this is only my personal opinion, but I really do love it!! I was a big fan of the first one as well, however it was too fast with less context to some scenes, this remake completely changed that. It made it feel like I was watching a whole new series. In the end I loved it. I would and am watching it again sometime. I really recommend it.

Of the 13 Thai BLs I have completed, YinWar had the best chemistry
I want to say I loved and hated this series. I loved the leads' chemistry, the dynamic friend group made up of seniors and juniors' engineers, the unpredictability, the comedy, and the randomness. But what I hate most are the two jarring offenses right from the jump.Immediately, one of our leads, Vee, cheats on his girlfriend by having s*x with a junior, Mark, who's so drunk out of his mind that he mistakes Vee for Vee's friend. So right away Vee not only cheated but took advantage of another student, for what reason? None... Or I suppose he just wanted s*x that night and it didn't matter if it was with his gf or anyone who'll drunkenly 'beg' him for it. What I haven't seen many mention is how Vee never once, throughout all 10 episodes, admitted or acknowledged that he, too, cheated on his girlfriend on 3-5 different occasions! Yes, he didn't give her crap when she cheated but he never said it out loud to anyone or even himself. So we can't gauge if he considered himself a cheater or not. Although the show tried to justify cheating with cheating, what they did do a good job of is making you forget Vee cheated on his girl. Then they included a whole segment where Mark tortured Vee to the point where you feel bad and sorry for Vee (it was the only time in the series where I cried lol).
The show also did a good job telling us idiot Vee was going to put Mark through hell per random fortune teller at the market. And every time Vee did something dumb, I always, while rolling my eyes, tied it to the fortune teller lol.
What the show didn't do a good job of is the series title. I found myself asking 'What on earth is YinWar's drama called again?' so many times. The engineering/mechanic part is like 15% of the series give or take. The characters said 'engineer(ing)' more than we actually got to see them doing engineering-related stuff.
If you can get over the cheating, nonconsensual sex, and cringe-acting at random moments then trust me, you're in for a really good time. War/Mark's puppy face guarantees it.
Usually, friend groups are a hit or miss in these BLs (esp large groups) and although I can only remember Bar, Kan, Yiwaa, Nuea, and Fuse's names, I enjoyed all of their moments. I was weak with the comedy timing from both parties: seniors and juniors. I liked that the seniors were protective, responsible (taking drunk friends home after a crazy night, addressing and pushing Vee to face his demon), had lives outside of uni, and took on leadership roles. Although the comedy duo in Vee's group doesn't make convincing engineering students their singing, dancing, and chemistry made them a great addition. I have to say Nuea pursuing Mark, and Yiwaa trying to couple them up was a bit aggravating but I get it. I'd want Mark for myself too or at least make sure he's loved and well taken care of. I do question how Nuea got out of Mark's room that night though. He just sort of faded and was replaced by Kan and no one ever mentioned it again lol
As for Mark's friends, I liked that they all had their quirks. Such as watching anime, eating everyone's leftovers (I was getting tired of seeing food go to waste in Thai BLs lol), loves napping, like checking out girls, and Fuse who actually tried to keep everyone focus and on track with their schoolwork.
Like every show, this one has its ups and downs but the cast's chemistry really drove this series for me and evidently, I forgave everything it ever did wrong. I'm even hoping time passes by faster so I can go back and rewatch this and relive all of its chaos and glory!

Engineering Students Differently!
Sometimes, in fact most times we underestimate the effects of poverty on self esteem. When you are raised in an environment where the general populace is the same, you will hardly find any self esteem issues. The trouble starts with awareness that there is lack in the self. This is what Vee is battling with. These are consequences of falling in love with a rich kid and not having the skills to handle it. Also, having to watch those equal to Mark vie for his affections.Mark comes across as more mature because he's had the luxury to move beyond worrying about his belly to bigger things.
To compare them is unfair. We've watched Vee make an attempt at showing Mark that he is able to love him even from his place of lack, but do badly due to lack of experience. It hasnt helped him that he is also poor at communicating. Oy!
In the end, what do you have besides your humanity. Vee is in luck with fatal looks, a crashing sense of humour and a persistent spirit. Something tells me he’s also gifted in the pleasure department which would explain why Mark lost his peripheral vision after one night. Their chemistry will have you reaching for your battery operated device because WTH!
Needless to say I loved the series and would strongly recommend a watch.

Mark <3
OST was great with awesome lyrics. The drama set and complete production with actors were all good (looking wise also acting-wise). The main characters VEE and MARK acting was superb. I loved MARK acting a lot.The story to me seems a little toxic. VEE character till the end doesn't realize how wrong he was and keeps hanging MARK giving him signals while not making things clear with Plong.
This story was reality-based. MARK character in real life has to endure and be more forgiven. If he is not he will face society criticism for being narrow-minded. VEE character in real life can be easily forgiven because of his stupidity and indecisiveness.
I like they showed the positive culture of an engineering department, all the orientation events, and the gear ceremony. In most cases, Drama shows seniors as "a bully" and "Bossy". This drama showed that college culture is in a positive light with most of the brotherhood.
The scriptwriter did an amazing job.
The director, producers, camera, lighting, and sound technical work was done beautifully.
All characters left an amazing impression even the side characters.

REALLY LOVE THIS
I think I found a BL series that I really fall in love with...The story makes my emotions go up and down. I can even be made to smile and then cry in one episode.
I really like seeing the chemistry of the cast. Yin (Vee) and War (Mark) they really match very well. The acting of both is good and makes the emotions so real.
*Maybe this is a SPOILER
I'm a little annoyed with Vee (Yin). he made Mark (War) many times fight for him, but in the end he wasted Mark
(I have rewatched it 3 times!!!!)

There's something about this drama
Watching this was a roller coaster. I liked the story, it's not perfect but it is good. I really loved their acting and their chemistry<3 Also, don't forget to wait until the titles in the last episode, I almost didn't watch it and that would be sad.I think this series is good when you want to just relax and chill, I had it finished really quickly and I don't regret it at all!
I am definitely going to watch it again !

Obsessed from the very first scene!
Love Mechanics immediately captivated me from its very first opening scene. This BL series revolves around the story of two students, Mark and Vee, and their journey from enemies to lovers. The show boasts impressive production value and offers tantalizing scenes that add spice for viewers to savor.I must acknowledge that this show may not be for everyone due to its toxic elements. However, personally, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Each episode brimmed with drama, leaving me glued to my seat and occasionally shouting at the screen, immersed in frustration with certain characters and desperately hoping for outcomes that aligned with my wishes. I was so engrossed in the initial moments between Mark and Vee that I ended up binge-watching the entire series in a single day.
The actors portraying Mark and Vee deserve commendation for their incredible performances in the show. They exuded confidence and enthusiasm, instantly charming me with their first words.
Love Mechanics delves into various themes, including relationship dynamics, familial tension, infidelity, and the process of healing and reconciliation. While the story may have occasionally ventured into trashy and simplistic territory, I believe the outstanding acting and the remarkable chemistry between Mark and Vee compensated for it in the long run. I would certainly be eager to watch more shows of this nature and recommend Love Mechanics to anyone seeking more mature BL series.

YinWar
For starters, this series is a spin off of the patent story 'En of Love' so it doesn't matter which one you watch first but personally I'd watch EOL so you get a general idea of YinWar. They're probably my fav current BL couple but unfortunately, this series didn't change much of how they were in EOL.ANYWAY, if I'm not comparing it then I really enjoyed this series. It has its basic Thai BL cringe and cute moments but YinWar is pretty much a dynamic duo you can't help but can scream for lol We can all realize to the characters in some way, whether it's school stress, family troubles, being cheated on etc everyone has a story here. I feel the end got rushed a LOT and it definitely had its good, bad and ugly moments but if you're looking for a cute MC with decent romance and fluffy BL cuteness and drama...look no further
Enjoy....
P.S. last ep after credits had me SCREAMING

Wow
I enjoyed the first series, and I enjoyed this one too. I am not a big fan of Mark's, but I loved how we go to see more of his feelings, past and family. It helped explain a lot about he and his actions. I was happy for him. Everyone gives Vee a hard time, and he deserves it! But, he truly redeems himself in many ways in this series. With Vee, we also get more of his life and background. The other characters such as Bar and Gun being recast was disappointing, but we got a small continuation of their story, and that was good, since their story was my favorite in En of Love. I really appreciated the further involvement of Nuea, who was kind of exciting in the first series. The other cast members that returned did not disappoint. It was fun to see them!
The acting was amazing. Both Yin and War, who were good in the first series, really did a great job! Applauds to the production value! Wow, it was good, and heads above the first series, but the first did have to deal with COVID.
Good story, good acting, good production. This was good, real good!

A retelling to a short masterpiece
I liked "Love Mechanics" since En of Love even if it felt too short that time but time tells us patience is indeed a virtue. This time around, we got it full circle with even greater shots of what we were fed up from the initial released. Thank goodness as well for bringing back the lovable YinWar couple unlike those "ehem, 2Moons" which keep coming back with a new set of actors. Actors are superb and embodies the characters truthfully which makes the concept realistic as possible. I know we hate some characters because of what they become in the series but hey, that proves how believable the acting was and I commend them for that. In the end, love prevails and not just love but a truthful one. No cheats, neither secrets, nor lies. Was this review helpful to you?
YINWAR ARE REALLY GOOD ACTORS
THIS IS MY FIRST EVER REVIEW I EVEN SIGNED UP TO MDL TO WRITE A REVIEW AFTER WATCHING THIS DRAMA.Okay first of all as what you can see in the headline HATS OFF to both YIN AND WAR for superb acting even the cameos and supports did a good job I am really skeptical when it comes to some actors who can't pull off their role but to tell you what there is no awkward acting in this series !
Second of all A lot of people find their story complicated but that's what makes the story interesting else you won't get hooked up as to what will happen next unlike other series that are light and soft if you are looking for something to watch in the middle of the night while sipping your coffee I recommend this, as for me I watched this 8pm to 6am for almost 10 hours because I'm hooked I hope you guys too :) I also like the song that Vee sang when he was drunk in the bar dunno the title tho still looking for it. My review will not contain any further spoiler so please watch it viewers discretion is advised in the first episode heheh
Lastly, You guys please watch their short version of this story which is EN of love: Love mechanics and Director's cut :) I first watched the short version because it was released earlier than the longer version one so I kinda know where the story goes hehe :)
I hope for the success of these two actors and the others, thank you for reading.
