How does one like this show?
Exactly like what the title says, how does one like this show?The first episode starts out with literal rape. Call it what it is. I see so many people just glaze over this all of the time. I’ve read dozens of reviews of this show before watching and not one mentioned the fact that there was literal RAPE. Mark was too intoxicated to tell that Vee wasn’t actually Bar, and not once did Vee tell him otherwise. Then after they wake up in the morning, he literally holds him down while Mark screams for him to let him go. Why do people like this show??
I’m going to skip around a bit because I’m honestly just tired at this point.
The entire plot of this show is about Mark, a regular college student, and Vee, a cheater and a rapist, who have an entire series where they just get into misunderstandings and half break up with each other. Literally every single time you think, “Yay, they’re finally happy!” Someone gets into a questionable situation and a huge misunderstanding happens. EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE.
The only, and I mean ONLY reason I kept watching the show as long as I did (7.5 eps) was because I love the actors so much. Before watching this show—and the reason I watched this show—I was watching Jack and Joker: U steal my heart! And I LOVE this show. Everything about it is amazing, and the actors are sooooo good. If you didn’t know, almost the entire cast of Jack and Joker are in this show. That is the only reason I kept watching it as long as I did.
To summarize a very poor review, I hate this show. The only good characters are anyone but Vee and Plot, oh, and Ton.

I'm shocked that this is so highly rated...
Y'all... are we watching the same series? I can forgive the horrible nonconsensual start to the relationship for the sake of fictional stories don't have to depict the most healthy relationships... but everything else that comes after a drunken affair makes 0 sense to me. First of all, Ploy and Vee both cheat for the first time on the same night, right? Fine, they both keep it a secret from each other. Makes perfect sense. They both continue to cheat on each other emotionally and/or physically for *2 months*. Fine. What the loving hell is Mark doing???? His whole moral code seems to point directly opposite of being the other man/supporting cheaters to the point where he gives up on his crush because his crush started dating someone. Now why the hell would he not immediately tell Vee when he sees Ploy literally behind them on the streets? Or why did he take a video in the hallway and not show Vee when he is literally asking for proof after buying perfume? Most crazy of all, why would he let Vee stay in his house for almost a whole week while Vee continues to talk otp to his GF and lie about where he is... Why did Vee not break up with her before the exams? None of these actions make any sense to me. Mark has no self-respect, despite being built up to be a very proud character. Vee supposedly always loved Mark yet he's the worst written character ever. And Ploy is the only one who makes sense because unlike the other two she doesn't know shit about them cheating on her.TL;DR I feel like not enough thought was placed in the motivation behind any character actions in this series.

Masterpiece
Thank God for this series. I needed something to heal me after watching Jack and Joker as I love YinWar. But then this series had me crying every episode. I stayed up till 4am watching this drama. Both of them are amazing actors and showed their emotions perfectly. Vee made so many mistakes but I still cried with him in every single episode. I hope to see them together in more shows because their chemistry is top tier.Was this review helpful to you?

GOOD SERIES BUT NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH FAINT HEART.
I started this series with an open mind. I was looking for a fresh breath from KP and damn, I got what I needed.This series is a typical example of "them dey carry me go where I no know" iykyk. It was a pure treat.
The Main lead's acting was top-notch. Each episode is a gift that keeps giving and leaves you longing for me.
OMG, War(Mark) takes you on the journey with him, you feel the need to defend him, you feel what he is feeling. Vee, on the other hand, you can't hate, his confusion is relatable but not entirely likable but Yinthe actor played Vee so well. These two give so much life to the drama and so much life to their character and no one can do it better than them.
Overall, it's a good bl series filled with angst for my fellow angst lovers.

Love mechanics is as ridiculous as it gets story-wise.Enter with zero realistic expectations.
After you accept that the ridiculous never steps down but each episode gets more unpredictable and immoral in many cases...then you have zero expectations and can just hone into leads and enjoy the best part of this drama...
Their acting and chemistry -- chef's kiss.
Kids remember, take no lessons from this one. None of these characters should be your ideal partner in anything but perhaps physical looks. Vee's behavior is for me very despicable in 99% of cases. Mark, what are you doing my man?
Hot scenes are hot because actors are good at their job. But they are often a product of strange and manipulative circumstances that SHOULD NOT BE PRESCRIPTIVE IN ANY CASE to viewers.
Now that being said, this is pure drama and entertainment. I hope you can only take it at that value.
Always a fun rewatch for me.

My most comfort BL
Idk but this series is really masterpiece for me. I always Rewatching them because it's so addicting to me. It's give me a butterfly in my belly and i really love it. The acting, pacing, dialogue, the cast, everything i love sm. I’m not gonna lie, but the first two episodes of this series are a mess. I honestly thought this series was complete trash after even the first episode so I dropped it for a long time. Too many things happened in the first episode, not going to spoil, but from relationship drama to a variety of different emotions from the characters. For me, I didn’t like it at all, and it was feeling like another Only Friends-type drama (no hate to Only Friends, but it’s just not really my kind of series). A while later, I was bored and decided I would watch it while I worked since that’s usually what I do with shows I’m indifferent towards, however… I WAS SO WRONG!I did not except that I would binge a series like this in just over a day! Honestly, it was worth giving it another shot. I became so invested in the relationship drama that I just had to watch the entire thing. I love the actors and I think their acting was very well done (hope to see them in future dramas)! Usually with bl series I start to get bored after the couple starts dating, but for these guys (who technically weren’t officially dating for a while) I never got bored! The series was unpredictable, in a good way. Lots of conflict could have been avoided in so many situations, but the show always settled for the worst outcome, which I found very entertaining. The characters were annoying at times, especially when it came to communication, but I think it was understandable due to their rocky past experiences with each other.
To put into perspective, I had this rated like a 6/10 when I first started watching it (which is very low for me), and now look where it is lol! If you are going to watch it, make sure you give it 4-5 episodes before you drop it since the series may start off not so great but it certainly gets better.

Yin War and some fantastic moments
Some really troubling earlier episodes and it’s not breaking any new ground but the cast, chemistry and acting couples with some really sweet moments was enough for me. I did sadly enjoy the En of Love version, it was enough of a fluffy watch then and I feel like this version gave me more of the fluff.Non consensual sex is never okay, and that is where this started. It’s not redeemable behaviour but I felt the character progression showed some growth in everyone’s part. Gutted Neua didn’t get his little romance but hopefully a season 2 is in the wings.

Yin & War = Perfection
This version i like a lot better than the En Love one, I wish all the En Love could have their own longer series.Mark & Vee - Mark is forever my baby but damn did these two stress me out to the max, and I don't even know why. I think it was the constant Vee not knowing how to tell Mark that he was in love with him and then not thinking about things before doing them and Mark then in turn hurting Vee because he was hurt. Both Yin and War always play their characters so well, every cry scene was done extremely well, and the way they looked at each other with pure love but neither could tell each other.
Nuea- This poor guy, just wanted to be loved by Mark, but Mark kept stringing him along and getting his hopes up instead of just telling him he liked him as a friend way before the Gear ceremony. I wish we could've gotten a longer version of En Love - Love Story because I wanted to see Nuea happy because he was one of my favorite characters
Bar & Kan- I don't know why they changed "Guns" name but nevertheless I like this version of "Gun" better, not to be mean to Win Achawin Michaels but I think Jeff played him better and he's more relaxed.
Yiwaa- She made me so mad at the beginning, she always showed up out of nowhere, and always got in the middle of Mark and Vee. She was also to blame for Mark stringing along Nuea because she always pushed Mark towards him knowing how Vee felt about Mark. All of her scenes with them just made me mad
Tee & Lee - They are still my favorite, they have been since the Gun and Bars story, I need them together in more series, they are just so funny.
Ploy - I love the actress that plays Ploy, i think Perth is just so cute and I loved her in The Middleman Love as "Jan" and then in Why R U as "Zol" but Ploy made me so mad because she was also stringing along Vee instead of just breaking up with him the moment she knew she liked Ton

This is torture, guys. Literally. It was hard to watch and I had to drop it because it was sick. It was disgusting the way everything was romanticized. The first episode starts with a rape, the violence is completely disturbing, y'all who liked it should persue therapy ASAP. The first version from 2020 is short but there's consent and maturity, go watch it and erase this new series from your minds.....................................................................................................................

Gostei sim, mesmo com vontade de bater nos dois
A história é um caos emocional, do tipo que poderia ser resolvido em dois palitos se os dois simplesmente sentassem e conversassem. Mas não. Eles se gostam, juram que vai dar certo, aí um deles se envolve com o ex de novo, o outro sofre, e tudo recomeça… e isso se repete umas três vezes, sem nem fingir que é novidade. E o mais louco é que não dá nem pra culpar só um, os dois vivem cometendo os mesmos erros.É aquele tipo de drama que só funciona mesmo porque é uma série. Na vida real ninguém aguenta tanto empurra-empurra assim sem querer sumir. E por mais cansativo que fique, o casal tem aquele negócio que faz a gente continuar assistindo. Eles são fofos, têm química, e mesmo com todos os tropeços, você fica torcendo pra darem certo, mesmo sabendo que vão pisar na bola de novo.
O roteiro repete demais os conflitos e às vezes dá uma forçada nas situações, mas ainda assim, eu gostei. Não entrou na minha lista de queridinhas, nem de longe, mas também não é algo que eu fico com vergonha de dizer que assisti. Foi uma bagunça emocional que me prendeu, e no fim das contas, tudo bem gostar de um BL que tem mais defeito que acerto de vez em quando.
