100% GMM, 100% boring
It's about a guy who's in deep debt because of hospital bills for his seriously ill brother. He kidnaps a rich kid to make some money, but when the time comes to kill him as instructed, he can't do it and decides to hide him at home until he finds a solution. We've known all this since the trailer. What we don't know is that this dark but interesting story immediately becomes the subject of a romantic series: soft music, sitcom sound effects, and look how we fall into bed on top of each other and how I feed you when filmed in close-up. In short, nothing to do with the original subject.
But somehow, it makes sense. GMM is no longer interested in making good series, but just in showcasing good-looking, well-known actors for them to do months of fan service. The fact that Ohm broke down during his last pairing with Nanon doesn't worry anyone.
This series is going to be a hit because that's all the fans want: two actors playing bromance to the extreme for months or even years.
In short, GMM will give fans what they want, and they'll be happy. But to watch a good series, you have to go elsewhere. And that's what I'm going to do.

Fall in Love with GMMTV's 'Kidnap The Series' – A Fresh Spin on BL Drama!
Kidnap The Series is GMMTV’s latest hit, and it’s truly a breath of fresh air! A kidnapped young master teaming up with his kidnapper and even falling in love? Now that's a plot twist we haven't seen in the BL world! As expected, Ohm's acting is phenomenal—he never disappoints. But the real surprise here is Leng. Being a newcomer, I didn’t have high expectations, but wow, did he prove me wrong! He captures Q’s character so well, adding depth and emotion to the story.
The production team also deserves applause for the stunning filming locations—the casino scenes, in particular, look absolutely grand and intimidating, adding to the series' thrilling vibe. And let’s not forget the supporting cast—they all bring their A-game, enhancing every scene. Plus, the OST is a total winner! The lyrics, the melody, and Tui's incredible voice make you fall head over heels for your imaginary lovers.
I really hope more people give this series a shot—it's too good to miss!

The best Hate to Love Content
Even though I haven't watched an episode yet, the series really sucked me in. This has nothing to do with me liking Ohm a lot because I'm making a very objective comment. I had very low expectations since it was Leng's first acting gig, but he did such a good job that I respect him so much for his hard work and effort. Ohm Pawat, the BL King, is also acting with his eyes. I hope it becomes a much-loved drama and destroys the entire industry. Was this review helpful to you?
Exceeded my Expectations
I must say I’m very excited for this one. Since the trailer dropped I was like “oh something different “The first episode was so short cos I was too immersed in it that I didn’t know when it ended. Ohm Pawat delivered as usual. I’d say he’s one of the best actors out of GMMTV! Pair him with a stone and he’ll deliver.
For a rookie, Leng really tried and I can’t wait to see how his character develops.
The production and quality is also good and I like the pace at which it is going.
I’ll be watching till the end.

the first ep was so good!
The first EP was really good, Ohm acting never disappoints he is still an amazing actor as always and Leng's acting impressed me a lot because for this being his debut series he did really good, So yall should definitely start watching the series don't give importance to the vote here because the childish fandom of the old ship is trying to sabotage the series just because they can't accept that Ohm is an actor and that he has to act with different people. Was this review helpful to you?
life is like that
For all those who rated the series this low on purpose, shame on you. honestly, in your life they never taught you anything so pathetic and immature, not only that you caused damage to one actor, but to everyone who participated in the series. obviously, your misery does not know how to appreciate absolutely anything. people break up in life, that's how life is in the real world, accept it or shut up if you can't, not what you wanted to prove with this, ha. Ohm and Nanon will not be together no matter how you evaluate the series, but will only cause damage to all the people in that series who are acting directors, screenwriters, directors. horrible people you are a shame to be honest. Was this review helpful to you?
Great Chemistry
I was hoping when I saw the first pilot trailer last year that it will be a BL romance rather then bromance. My prayers were heard.I like the storyline based on the first episode. I love how they introduced the characters.
It was exciting to watch how Ohm characters realize that he has no choice for surviving without doing any illegal.
I think Ohm has found his most suitable partner. Leng is so beautiful and I didnt notice on his acting that he is a rookie. He made a great job in episode 1 and I cant wait for Friday to see them flirting together 😊🧡🩵

Kidnap
The wait is over, the first episode has finally arrived and it didn't disappoint me at all, in fact it went beyond my expectations. Ohm Pawat was amazing and also Leng's first acting. All the actors were great. Super, the episode is full of rhythm, it ended quickly, I wanted at least double the time 🤣😍Was this review helpful to you?

Will not watch anymore. May revisit after it is completed, likely not.
Contains general impressions but no major spoilers.Audio: The quality was inconsistent. Some sounds were overly compressed, with key effects like footsteps missing, while others, like swallowing, were oddly loud. The sound effects didn’t fit the genre, and the soundtrack also felt out of place. These issues prevented me from feeling fully immersed in the episode.
Acting: Lengso’s acting, as I expected, was not high quality. It felt forced, particularly in a 'drunk' scene and the parts where he was in a chair. Some of the dialogue at that point was also weak. It's surprising that no one on set, like the director, stepped in to help him refine those moments. I feel like they prioritised the Ohmleng pairing over casting someone more capable for this role.
Character Development: Q’s character felt pasted into the story at the last minute. He doesn’t fit the world they’ve built. I even wondered if the role was originally written for someone else. This is especially disappointing because he’s supposed to be a lead.
Plot Holes: The biggest plot hole for me involves Min and James. It didn’t make sense for James to suggest illegal activities with so little buildup or context between the characters. It didn’t feel believable.
Budget Issues: There seems to be a serious budget mismanagement in this show. It was odd to see Ohm’s car being used in filming. Why not budget for a proper prop car? The speak-easy scene was shot in a glamorous location, but it looked empty without enough background actors. If I was a potential customer on a night out, I would take one look around and choose not to go in because it looked boring! And a particular rubber gun used in a close-up had visible tears, revealing the white rubber inside. This is a big oversight, especially when better props (like cheap airsoft guns) are easy to get. There was a moment when we were looking at cobwebs, and they looked so fake and cheap, like they were bought from a party supplier for a last minute spooky halloween party.
Pacing & Genre: The relationship is developing too quickly, which doesn’t match the genre or the story presented in trailers. I felt like I was watching a school-setting, cutesy BL in parts, which doesn’t fit this type of show. The pacing is disappointing and doesn’t align with the dark tone they originally indicated.
Visuals: The camera work and visual quality were great, maybe that’s where the budget went.
On the bright side, Ohm’s acting was outstanding, which I expected. He is incredibly talented and carried every scene he was in. There were moments when I gasped because his performance was so natural and high-calibre.

Quem diria, hein?
